The Awesome Spider-Dash: Origins

My Dear Readers...

Look, I know you guys have been waiting forever for another chapter of this story to come out, and yeah, it stopped at a really stupid place. I mean, I only had about two chapters left until this story was finished, so why not just finish them?

Well...I explain part of the reason in this blog post, and that was what caused the hiatus in the first place, but there's more to it than just that.

You see, during my absence, I've come to reevaluate the whole story, and what was going to come out of it, and honestly...it felt like I was on a sinking ship. The story never really did all that well even on the best of days, and I think a lot of that had to do with how inexperienced and out of my depth I was when I started it.

I got stuck on the origin story for waaaaaaay too long, which made even me bored of having to write it to get to the good stuff, but then when I actually got to it, there were so many choices I made earlier in the story that I really started to regret.

Probably the biggest one was the Nightmare Goblin. I swear, this character was a mess for me to handle. I introduced her way too early, and was thus forced to include her in an extremely convoluted plot which needed to involve Celestia, Twilight, Sunset, Spike/Lizard, Dr Silk Mane/Chrysalis (who actually originally was supposed to be the Mane-iac, not Chrysalis), and even Starlight/Doc Ock. I was stuck on the next chapter for so long, even before the whole downvote fiasco, because I couldn't resolve the whole mess in a way that made any kind of sense and trying to think of a solution just gave me several consecutive headaches.

...and then there was the fact that the show ended, and I just so happen to move on to other fandoms. While I still love Spider-Man and My Little Pony...and even enjoy the new generation quite a bit, I want to move on to something else, something different.

I am on my way to making a grand comeback to actually writing and posting stuff, but unfortunately for my fellow bronies and pegasisters, it won't be based on My Little Pony anymore...and as such, won't be posted here on Fimfiction. Instead, I'm planning on going back to the fandom I first started to write fanfiction for: The Legend of Zelda.

For anyone who really wanted to see more Spider-Dash, or even more pony fanfics from me, then I am deeply sorry...but for any Zelda fans, or just people who happen to enjoy my writing, you may feel free to check out my new story here...or here.

Basically, Celestia decides to give Luna a chance to help free herself from her evil alter ego, but only in secret to the Kingpin wouldn't know who she was and take revenge on her, Rainbow Dash took Starlight to the hospital, Twilight and Spike go home and try to recover from the ordeal, Chrysalis managed to escape, and in the end, Rainbow Dash does her hero assignment in school on her mother and uses her as an inspiration to become Spider-Girl.

...and then I would move on to the planned sequel...which I most definitely won't be making now. However, I had made a poster for it a long time ago, so I might as well share it.
