Dreagknight-LostWriter

My true alias is Dreagonight, the Dreaded Dragon Knight, but my friends just calls me dreago, the reckless Mystic Dragon-Knight

T

Setting just a few days after the Battle of the Bands event, the three sirens were struggling to make do with the little things they had. Soon they were kicked out of the hotel they had being staying at, and all but a few of their belonging had been stolen. Left with nothing, they soon began to have a fallout amongst themselves.

Placing blame on each other, Adagio and Aria got into a heated argument, which quickly turned into the disbandment of their little group. Unable to stand being around each other, Aria went her separate way as well as Adagio, leaving Sonata to herself. But just how badly would their group break up effect the three sirens as they go there own way?

(This story is a third person perspective of each of the sirens, and how the break up affects them. Each chapter will be dedicated to a single Siren, until the end.)
P.S. Twilight is not part of this story, but Sunset is. Also I am looking for a cover art.

You know what I'm glad you aren't doing the taco thing with Sonata because you're right it's in too many stories

6835114 I know right, oh well. My goal is to make this fic as different from the rest as possible.

Sonata being the first/only one to be redeemed has kind of become a cliche don't you think? I mean yeah, the story seems promising but the fact that Sonata is the one who always gets forgiven straight away is becoming a little repetitive.

6836767 Forgiven? I don't remember ever saying she was forgiven...
I mean sure, Fluttershy gonna wanna help find the other two, but forgiveness is a WHOLE different thing. And if you think about it, she only said help 'them' like they did Sunset, that can mean one of serval things.

6836801 Yeah, that's a point there. At least you didn't go the "Sonata was innocent all along and only did evil things because the other two forced her." way. Like I've said, the storry looks promissing. Looking forward for the next chapter!

6836805 Alright, the next story is Aria, let see if you find that a bit more 'different'.:trollestia:

Not sure when I'm release though to be honest.:twilightblush:

I love how you portray Sonata who seems smart, serious, and extremely loyal when she needs to be

6889151 Yeah. I hated how some fic show her as a dim witted walnut size half brain. Like, they make her down to the point of actually mental help. Then there some that make her smart and serious with no trace of her funny ditzy side with no reason why. There only a few, very few fic I come across where this doesn't happen and have a good mix.

Like I said before, I want to make this fic as different as possible while keeping it understandable and fun to read.

6889197 It is very rare to get a good combination and you are amazing at it making it very fun and interesting to read

6889214 Thanks:twilightsmile:, but I think my real challenge will be Aria. Try to keep her tough on the outside, yet show her softness and weakness on the inside. I seen her smile in the movie, that shows she has a heart, people forget that.

6889228 She is very tricky but I'm sure you can find the balance:yay::twilightsmile:

I really enjoy how the action has been playing out so far in this story. I also like the fact that you've pointed out that the Dazzlings were having a better time as a team and apreciate one another at least to some level. Another thing I really like is how you've portrayed them. Aria very rejective and rude but only because of the frustration of being kept under Adagio's shue, Adagio responsable and able to survive alone but still misses her band and, Sonata ditzy and silly but still greatfull, loving and worried for the other two sirens (unlike some other fanfictions who portray her as being abused by her team mates and forced into being evil.).
My friend, you have my interest!

6904362 Thanks, I'm surprised that you have actually manage to notice those things, most people either don't notice or never mention on it. Portraying them as I did was a unique stander since I don't work with the dazzling much, Sonata is the only one I fully work with(even though I worked with Sonata and Sunset the most, for some reason Aria still catches my attention more). But I will say this, you've only seen part of their whole problem. I will be showing each of their own type of weakness, Adagio weakness already showed in her chapter. By weakness, I mean, their weakness from not being together. Each girl has a weakness, it unique to the role they play in their band. Anyway, I hope this story is proven to be as different from others as I hoped.

Side note: I did not do the cliché Rainbow Dash hate on first meet, she just having trouble trusting her but is willing to give her a try. But I will say this, what Sonata said was a bit hurtful, can you tell why.:trollestia:

6904626 Well, Sonata did have a point. I mean, the mane six did forgive Sunset for the same thing the Dazzlings did. I would like this aspect to be explored more but, that's just a prefference.
I don't mind Rainbow being less trustfull than the others. It's in her character.

6905967 That may or may not be explored, only time will tell...:trollestia:

This story will have a happy ending, right? Either way, I think I'll enjoy reading it.

6980209 To be honest, I don't know yet. Like I said, I pretty much came up with this while I was down, so only time will tell.

Well it's a nice way to see how they cope afterwards.

Why would she bother, Sonata? Because Fluttershy is Kindness. That is what gave her the power to defeat you and it will give her the power to heal you too... if you let her try.

I always knew that Aria's temper would get her in trouble in the end. That said, that last scene reminds us of just how frightened the Dazzlings would probably be after losing their powers. That terror of an unknowable future where they were no longer the strong ones was almost certainly the cause of their argument.

I've got a feeling that at some point, Aria is going to explicitly ask Quick if he expects sex as payment (and may be half-way inclined to offer it; it isn't as if she has any other assets she has left to sell at this point). She'll probably be startled, perhaps slightly insulted and inexplicably disappointed by his response. :raritywink:

In so many ways, Adagio had the furthest to fall. She was the proud, regal one with aspirations for godhood. Now she's nothing - a homeless girl with maybe one day's worth of meals left in funds and then nothing but an empty concrete box and a scrap wood open fire to her name.

She is a good one for denying that she would stoop to certain things but I can't help but wonder just how low she'll go before she realises that she can't make it on her own.

Now that's interesting and different. I wonder, are you planning to go the "human-looking alien" route with the Dazzlings, where their non-human cultural background gives them such different ethical viewpoints that they're not sorry for what they've done and even vaguely annoyed that anyone thinks that they should be sorry?

If it is the "I'm a scorpion and that's what we do" path, it will be interesting to see if losing her powers and being forced to survive by working with what she would normally instinctively perceive as a prey animal changes her perceptions. May she become human over time?

Okay, first things first. Quick? Not only was that a dick move, it was damned stupid. Assuming that Aria didn't have a knife or something and killed you in 'self defence', all she had to do was run screaming from the dorm and cry 'rape' to the nearest authority figure and it would have been adios college, adios your comfortable life and hõla jail and a record that would stick with you and keep impeding your every dream for the rest of your natural life.

Aria, honey? I've got some bad news for you. Washing dishes or cleaning some rich person's home for cash in hand is probably the best 'job' you can hope to get at this point.

Yeah, it looks like I was right; Adagio is the one who is going to fall the furthest and end up in the lowest place. I'm waiting for the chapter when she looks up, realises just what she's become (a scavenger, little better than a sewer rat) and suddenly realise that she has to find the other two because she can't bear to live like this for one more moment.

7106473 :rainbowlaugh: well that was a fun group of comments to read, but hmm, let me answer a few for you, no spoiler.

The Sonata chapter: Hmm, well, I cant say that I'm going to go that route. But I will say the "sorry" part will come up and how they look at it.:trollestia:

The Aria chapter: Yes, what Quick did was stupid and a dick move, but he did relies that after looking at her. Don't worry, he will make it up to her, that is, if aria even accept it. :trollestia:

The Adagio chapter: Yes, I do plan to have her fall the lowest, but that wont come without nagging regret. I don't know fully what I'm going to do with Adagio like I do Sonata and Aria, but I plan to let her have it easy once and a well, again, trying to make this as different from other fic as possible.

This is a very interesting (if somewhat extreme) interpretation of Sonata. She does what she does because Aria and Adagio say so. You wonder if she's ever made a decision entirely on her own input and entirely had an attitude that was not formed by others' opinions or orders.

It's quite possible having to survive without Adagio's constant input may lead her to make some very serious changes in her life including, for the first time ever, coming to conclusions about what Sonata wants Sonata to do or think.

8047440 Yes, that something I want to portray. I've seen a lot of fics when it involve Sonata and her sister, but very few(if any) I notice seem to touch down on home on that. So, I want to show that as it seems Sonata would only do things if Adagio or even Aria says so. I just hope I can show that fully.

I look forwards to the end.

6835114
No argument there.
(*shamefully hides a story with taco reference and Sonata)

8047440
Sonata has always been the quiet one.
but you know what they say.
ALWAYS watch out for the quiet ones.
You know your vocal person well enough (or do you?)
But the quiet person could be a killer, psychopath, sociopath, or a jerk, or shy, or...
Basically we think a lot, but we're just not brave enough to say it until we're pushed to an extreme.
And then once we're at the extreme we like to stay there until we've finally had our fun/ need to say what we wanted.

Poor Aria! That was a 100% emotional breakdown there. I'm not sure what she will do if she gets too desperate but at least she has found a friend to keep her from carrying out any decisions that are self-destructive in nature.

9067814
I am not 100% sure what she will do, I have ideas but nothing concert so... it be a surprise when I write that chapter. Aria and Adagio has been thus far the most enjoyable to write because I get to explore aspect that is normally out of reach with almost any story. As for her break down, I was worried if I done it right or not, I am glad it had some impact.

In the cover art, the right two pictures are part of a set with all three Dazzlings. Why not use the complete set?

To be honest, 1 I didn't actually know that during the time I had searched for it and 2 I wanted each picture to reflect the story they are in. So when you read the story then look at the picture it like looking at what they actually looked like at that moment. Adagio alone in her abandon place, Aria crying at night in a bed and Sonata whos just trying to do something more.
