She is unlike anything I could have imagined. Graceful and regal. She infects my very mind with her beauty. How she moves, flying across the lunar dunes at my feet. Every mission I come here she's waiting for me. Waiting to play and tell stories and rest beneath the starlight. She tells me about her world; a peaceful utopia where all are equal. I wonder, will she take me with her?

Hmm very cute and certainly emotional a little short as I read it I was hoping for some establishing points of their meeting before this. I liked the story in general and I did enjoy it. Great story and I look forward to your next work.

Thanks a lot, friend. I've been hesitant to release many stories before I get a substantial following to share them with. Like any writer, I hate seeing my work go unnoticed.

i like moon luna earth stories

Honestly, I went into this expecting a nice short little read, and by the time I finished it, I was almost in tears. This is amazing story writing. The emotion is so easy to feel and get behind, and I genuinely think this should get some sort of award, or praise. This was simple, short, but stirring. Great work, and can't wait to see what comes out of the author next

Thanks a lot for the kind words, friend! I appreciate it. You should follow my page if you're interested in what's up and coming and be sure to share the story. The more the merrier!

Thanks man. Make sure to follow my page if you're interested in seeing more. Wicked profile pic, by the way.

I don't often comment that much, but I've been meaning to change that, and this story has brought me to the point where I felt the need to comment, not that really matters though. Even so, I really loved this. I just wanted you to know that.

This is quite good. Well done. Only thing unpleasant about this is that it can be read, if the reader insists on darkness, as someone losing it. I know that isn't the case, otherwise the tags would be different, but it is so easy to read it that way.

I prefer it as a happy story though. Well done, again.

I wish i can see in back ground and more but also. short chapter's better.

I didn't think having a dark tag for this story was appropriate, that's for another story of mine. Thanks got the kind words!

I had this playing as i read. I think it went very well.

5579821
Not a bad one, my friend. I personally had this in my head while I was writing.

5579831 oh man i love that song! I also had this one playing.

It's very rare...actually extremely rare for me to actually upvote a story, not because I didn't think it was good, but because they were exceptional.

This is one of those stories. It's short and sweet, and it just makes me happy. Good job on this, it was a pleasure reading it.

Thanks a bunch, man. I've got plenty more on the way if you're interested in my work.

Hhehe i ship the hell out of Niel and Luna

...It's not Neil Armstrong. The author even named the guy.

Does this have a sequel? It needs one if it doesn't.

5589160
I'm glad you think so. I, unfortunately, feel that this story it fine where it is. Going any further with the story would ruin the mystique that it holds. It's short and sweet, just what it needs to be.

I see what you mean

Imagine how terrifying this is from Control's perspective.

One of their premier lunar astronauts fails to make contact for several hours, and when they finally do get a hold of him, he starts babbling about how "the mission has changed" and "finding something worth dying for."

Fifteen minutes later they route the other two astronauts who engage in hot pursuit of the renegade, and their built-to-spec rovers are being outpaced for no discernible reason.

In front of their eyes, Kurt just...disappears across the horizon, and is never found again.

Inspection of the capsule reveals a missing black box, and all rations gone. Houston has no context for why, to where, or how Major Ripley has up and vanished.

Now, if they don't find the black box, they have a crazed astronaut who spontaneously decided to commit suicide-by-moon, and a P.R. disaster on their hands.

If they do recover it (which I'm assuming that they've built in some kind of locator in case of crash/other-disaster-in-general,) then Houston has a lot of unexplained phenomenon on their hands, not the least of which would be explaining how a solitary astronaut managed to find something to bang on the fucking moon. Shit would get classified right quick.

(Also, escape velocity on the moon would be 2.4 km/s, or 2,400 m/s. That's a bit over 5000 miles per hour. Would be a hell of a Rover-ramp.)

Sucks to be Control, then, huh?

5586946 He's ship-crazy, he doesn't care.

Someone must make this into a short film!!!!!!!

If I could animate worth a damn I totally would. Yet here I sit...

5687316
I dont really know what to say
I will praise you to make it
but
i really dont know what to say
make it
just make it
and if animeted, do it by picture frames and low rate scathes
because
its the moon and that all that there is to be...

such a wonderful story. but what was luna doing on the moon? it doesn't appear that shes in exile. was she just there, waiting for his return?

5800107
In a sense. As princess of the night I feel she would, occasionally, return to the moon, where she met the astronaut. Sort of plot convenience, sort of assumptions.

I have to say that I enjoyed this story. Are you going to make a Sequel? what happens next? I was hoping to see there first meeting. How do the mane six handle meeting a human for the first time? How is Princess Celestia going to handle Luna's boyfriend? What part of the story line are we in when Luna brings her new boyfriend to Equestria and shows him to her pony's?

I look forward to your next story.

There will not be a sequel. There is a certain balance between quality and quantity that has to be maintained when dealing with a story and depending on the type of story that can mean either having 14 books or only a few thousand words. While it is fun to imagine what the others would think about this situation, I feel that would undermine the effect that this story has. Sequels aren't always a good thing.

YAY THIS STORY WAS AMAZING

"Houston, this is Freedom."
"Go ahead, Freedom."
"So hypothetically if I found a blue magical space horse, fell in love with it, banged it, and agreed to follow it home. Would that complicate things?"
"Does she support communism?"
"Not in any form we'd recognize?"
"Good enough! Now go spread Capitalism with that dick of yours son! Houston over and out"

Only if fantasy could be reality.

For such a short story this was put together so well

That was kind of the point, sort of that shared-universe, dip-in-spacetime-thing. Their moon and our moon are the same moon, but it's supposed to be more symbolic than anything.
