I let my writing do the talking.

Always nice to see another shot being taken at PonyHammer 40Whatever mashups. I like how close you tried to keep the preface.

no idea what's going on but i dig it so far :raritywink:

edit: totally missed this was a crossover first pass. oh well.

was slightly appaled at rarity being a heretic... was even more surprised that she was an inquisiter :pinkiehappy:

Sphess mehreens! We stehl our enimies for teh emprah! - commander boreale

Uhhh, nice twist with Rares.^^b
Fits her really well, since she is the "Silk that hides Steel" type pretty much.

While I have stopped playing 40k years ago, I still remember enough to know I like the idea of Rarity as a Inquisitor. It just makes a good premise, fun part is seeing what and who end up where.

Wait, did something happen to Sweetie Belle!?!

Wish I could say something more than, "I Love it!" But I can't haha

Shoudnt there be ponykind at the start of this text?

5515776 Is this story going to continue, because it's a good story.

5863134 it will, but work being what it is mean chapters will sometimes have a slow turnaround time

Interesting chapter. Only issue I have is that it's sometimes hard to tell who is who in a chapter.

Very well tought out so far - a seamless mesh and very promising.

Well written, only the combat scene was a bit short. I really like what you did with the characters. :pinkiehappy:

Well written and very well put together. Will there be Trixie?

Good chapter. Though I suspect Rarity not sharing what few syllables she could gather from the cultist will bite her im the bum later.

I was thinking the same.
But the story is with human characters apparently ^^.

What the Fuck am I looking at here, evolution has gone wrong at one point that's for sure. Neither is there a cure of these mental disabilities I'm afraid.
Anyways can I have my moderator powers back *wink wink*

Your bud buddy,
Discernist

7505859 I don't recall giving you mod powers for anything in particular, are you sure you're in the right place?

So, thoughts on the first chapter. I'll preface by saying that I've never read, played or anything like that regarding 40k, so pardon me if I don't get some of the allusions. :twilightblush: As far as intros go, this isn't bad. I'm guessing it's designed to mirror the opening of something regarding 40k (really, really sorry if I'm butchering anything).

My biggest fear, from the looks of things, would be that some parts of it could easily be missed if you have no familiarity with the franchise, which I'll admit to being a stickler for when it comes to crossovers. Regardless, I am interested in seeing where this goes.

I'm somewhat torn in regard to this first chapter. While I understand that it's a crossover, plus alternate universe, it just feels so odd for the beloved pony world. That's something that irks me in a lot of dark/AU/crossover stories, is that there's often a wild disconnect from MLP. The Nightmare Moon cultists don't feel horribly out of place, given that they're a pretty common concept, but the handling just feels a bit off. I think that it's the combination of Warhammer 40k themes with the fact that this is humanized.

I dunno. Just the combination is a huge difference for me. Because of that, this feels more like the intro to some dark fantasy epic than it does a story set in the MLP world, simply because it feels so detached. Again, this might just be my personal biases, but that's how I feel so far.

So is this story ever going to get any love again?
