Starry Night is an orphan who wants nothing more than to be with her mother but when she finally sees her mother, she becomes angry with her and runs away. In an attempt to stop Star from getting hurt, Twilight messes up a spell that sends Star temporarily further and further into the past until finally she returns to find everypony miserable.

Why does it have such a bad ratio, I see the same pacing problems and few grammatical mistakes in other stories that have much better ratios than this one.
If it is about the headcanoned world it is placed in then the ratio still doesn't make any sense cuz I see headcanons like this all the time.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I read the first chapter and found it fairly uninteresting. Plus the protagonist wasn't very likeable.
