Josh Hooves is a fine up standing citizen of Ponyville. Or at least that's what he always believes. He does his best to mind his own business.
He may not be the most intresting pony in Ponyville, but that may not be such a bad thing.
So have you ever wondered what life in Ponyville is like for your average Joe? Well you're about to find out as you go through a typical day for Josh Hooves.

Josh Hooves? Josh Hooves? His name is freaking JOSH Hooves?
You couldn't have come up with a better name than that? No, you took a human name that doesn't exist in Equestria and added "Hooves" to the end of it. Okay, just a minor quibble. Let's take a look at the story itself...
...aaaaand it's not too bad. There is a slight air of the Stu around young Josh being so freakishly smart and capable but you seem to have kept that in check well enough. One complaint is his coloring. We really don't need to know his color or the fact that he wears yellow glasses. Unless it adds to the story, you really shouldn't include it.
On the whole there's nothing really offensive about this but there's nothing really eye catching either it's just there. That and releasing a one chapter story usually means that it will get forgotten and will never see the light of day or get a huge response.
So no thumbs up or down on this even though I seriously hate his name.
3485997 Well thank you for the feedback. The reason I described my O.C. is because I don't have tools with which to draw him, and even then I haven't been able to upload cover images or an avatar. So I had to rely on something to get a picture in people's heads about what he looked like.

How I didn't think of something like this I will never know. For a second I thought he was Derpy Hoove's son, but you showed me other wise. I tip my hat to you, one author to another.
Honestly, Josh Hooves doesn't really sound that much like a name one would be likely hear in Equestria, but it's hard to say, really. It's a minor nitpick, anyway. Not much of interest happens in this story, but I must say that I really like the concept. The idea of a Ponyville resident whose profession is doing oddjobs has a lot of potential for all kinds of stories.
I don't get why one commenter thought it wasn't good to describe the character. He's original, and he's the main character. How can we properly imagine him if we don't know what he looks like? I would suggest drawing out his description and perhaps tying it into other bits of the narrative a bit more, though, rather than just describing him in a quick info dump.
Aside from that, I can't really think of much else to say. This has potential as a series, certainly, but a bit of revision would enhance the introduction here. As a story by itself, it's not terribly remarkable at the moment. It's decent work.
