SuperPinkBrony12

I'm a brony and a Pinkie Pie fan but I like all of the mane six, as well as Spike. I hope to provide some entertaining and interesting fanfics for the Brony community.

Mother's Day, a special day for mothers from all walks of life. And for a certain group of friends in Ponyville, it's about to get even more special!

Pinkie Pie is able to convince her friends to get all of their moms together for one great big Mother's Day celebration in Ponyville. And all five moms agree, despite the fact that only one of them is actually native to Ponyville.

However, as the preparations get under way and the big day arrives, there's a particular pony who isn't looking forward to the celebration or Mother's Day in general. It's an unexpected pony with an unusual family situation. Little does she suspect that this Mother's Day will change the way she approaches the holiday.

Whenever this story takes place, I love it, ALOT

Mother's Day is a commemoration to all the mothers that developed you into the person you are today and to celebrate their sacrifices that they make, even for your existence. Destiny makes it impossible to determine who would be the mother you will be assigned to. Applejack's line struck me and reminded me that you can never choose where you start out in life, but you can definitely choose what paths you would like to take in your life. This story is a great reminder to never take your mother's efforts for granted.

It intertwines with the concept of friendship, having great friends by Starlight made her willing to speak up about her past, rather than bottle it within her emotions. In addition, the friends helped Starlight to gain company and meaning in Mother's Day, as authentically as possible.

This is an insightful piece of writing and I thoroughly enjoyed reading and reflecting upon it.

Have to say, this was quite a good Mother's Day one-shot. REALLY good job on the exchanges, characterizations and general wrap-up in all the right places. And, yeah, I could VERY easily see this being the last (or second-to-last) Mother's Day before Twilight returns to Canterlot to become ruler of Equestria. And I especially liked the Mane Six reflecting on what Mother's Day means to all of them as well as Applejack and Starlight doing a bit of bonding concerning their respective late mothers. And, yeah, maybe there could be a Mother's Day fic NEXT year that has the monthly Council of Friendship meeting coinciding with Mother's Day (i.e. the first Mother's Day after Twilight took over as ruler of Equestria, with the gang and their mothers visiting Celestia and Luna in Silver Shoals (i.e. Celestia being considered "Equestria's mother" as well as a second mother to Twilight).

Anyway, thanks very much for sharing this and Happy Mother's Day to everybody.

You know, i clicked on this to ask what necromancer resurrected Pear Butter, then i read the story.
Glad i did.

Sad and wholesome

Very nice! Even with the virus around, our mothers can enjoy mother day. And often a simple gesture or line is more than an actual present

I was really skeptical about this story at first because when I saw Pear Butter on the cover, I thought it was one of those resurrection fics (which feels quite cheap to me). Glad I read it anyway though, and Starlight Glimmer's mom dying at birth actually makes sense to me. Wonderful mom story for a wonderful day dedicated to moms.

"And seein' as the Apples and the Pies are related through a fourth cousin twice removed, that means Pinkie's mom is technically my mother-in-law.... or somethin' like that.

The idea of Applejack spending time with Cloudy Quartz aka Pie Mom on Mother's Day sounds great enough for a story on its own. I don't think AJ said anything as much as a word to Cloudy during Hearthbreakers, so the interactions between them would be interesting to see.

10227159 Yeah. I feel like bringing back Buttercup, even for a day, kind of cheapens the impact of her death on Applejack's character. Obviously, Applejack has made peace with it even if she may secretly struggle with it on some days.

This was beautiful and wholesome at the same time.
Great work.

"...Sort of, it's a little bit more complicated than that," Starlight tried her best to stay calm and speak in a neutral tone of voice. "The truth is... I don't have a mother because," The next words to come out were probably predictable, but still stung all the same. "My mother died giving birth to me. I've known about it for a very long time."

Ow my heart
