The title was really just because I suck at titles. Might change it or something.
3007665 To be honest, it was the title that made me stop and look. It was kind of refreshing, compared to the other very ominous and important sounding titles on fimfiction. (My fic title also falls under the ominous and important sounding category)
I like it, I think it has a very good start and the few characters present were characterised quite well, given that it is the first chapter and so few appear.
I also enjoyed the more comical aspects and the simple fact that you didn't make this a bloody Appledash fic, cause there are literally dozens of new and old ones just cropping up all over the search and it annoys me because in my high school it was common for overly close friends to be accused of being gay and it caused some friendships to break, a truely awful reason to stop being friends in my opinion.
On a related note I also find the near constant use of Rainbow Dash as a lesbian to be insulting, mostly because their are no adequate reasons that explains the frequency of these depictions. Rainbows, athleticism and boyish behaviours are not adequate reasons to consider someone a lesbian, I myself know two women who display both athleticism and boyish behaviours, neither of whom are lesbians.

They're all portrayed as lesbians occasionally, so I try not to let that bother me. Nothin' wrong with being gay anyway. If I don't like a particular pairing, I just sort of ignore the fic in question, rather than let it get to me. :P

Calling it now. Twilight finds out that Big Macintosh has her doll. Rarity burns down their camp. Somepony falls in love, I'm going to say Rainbow and Applejack. Or their competitive nature gets everypony lost in the woods. Macintosh probably ends up with somepony as well. Twilight has a breakdown because her books are of no use. Fluttershy is going to obliviously bring crazy ass animals to the camp that eat their food and steal stuff, and I don't know about Pinkie Pie because No one can ever get a read on what's going on in her crazy ass head that smells of Cotten candy. And Macintosh, the only one with any sense of calm and survival skills is going to do great at helping them survive and stick together until he poisons himself with both medicines and trips balls. Also, they come home to super buff pets.

That bit at the end is awfully sweet, but awful in the good way. It's a cliche but it is one of the best because it allows writers to create some really nice dialogue.
I quite liked this chapter, the Resident Evil reference I found to be quite funny.
All in all, I hope to see more chapters in the future, thank you for this new installment.
