Trixies don't all die on the day of coronation. They sometimes die during combat during the war, or in a duel with twilight.
Its an analogy of being killed by Twilight via her superior, magic, strategy, superior army or combat ability.
Sometimes directly or indirectly. If I were to go into detail about the 6 months. Trixie died after exhausting herself from defending her point, because Twilight gave her no moment of rest. And by the time she was pregnant she was dying, forced to take up a bargain with 69th's father or die where she stood.
Twilight had killed her. How was made by Trixie herself. No one in equestria can force a Trixie to die but Twilight.

Let's look at facts.
It is mentioned that Twilight kills Trixies (both 69th and Twilight do say this fact).
Trixies were bested by Twilight (hence her tone in day of coronation of how pathetic they were).
What can be mistaken, is that every instant was a one on one fight. But given what WAS said. Is it the ONLY possibility where such statements can be true? You might be sneaking some headcanon here. I mean I want this fanverse to have plenty of opportunity to have interesting fan fiction.
I wanna hear 68 different ways Trixie dies to Twilight. In fact. You should do that (I got the 1st and 68th already covered).
