Alexander

T

Around Ponyville, there is a story about the abandoned home that sits atop Mayberry Hill. According to the legend, the grand old house is home to a tale whose truth that like its inhabitants, has become lost to time. When Twilight Sparkle hears of the legend, she goes to seek the truth. But as she delves deeper into the past, she uncovers a story that is riddled with love and death.

Calling it now, Granny Smith and Rarity. :rainbowlaugh:

The whole romance of the story will play an integral part in the entire history of the house and the story of it.

But that's all I'm revealing :raritywink:

:rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh::rainbowlaugh: That would be, like, totally, epic. In a pie-spitting way:derpytongue2:

Okie dokie then:twilightsheepish:

Sorry for the wait but here's the new chapter

Found this in The Writer's Group and decided to give it a try.
I'm glad I did that too. I'm sensing a lot of suspense coming from this story... It will certainly evolve into something nice.
Your writing is simply wonderful (better than my own) and you clearly know how to grasp your reader's attention and how/where to lead the story.

(Now I wonder why stories like yours aren't recognized, while shitty cupcakes spin-offs or HiEtP Mary Sue, self-inserts make fame)

Tracked and [heavily] recommended.

Wow. That is the best comment I have EVER gotten :pinkiehappy: :pinkiehappy:

You've just given me a HUGE boost of willingness to work on the second chapter and all subsequent chapters. I cannot thank you enough for that :yay:

(And on a side note: Yeah. Sometimes I also wonder why. Every reason I think of just seems to slip away before I can grasp it. It is a bit disheartening :applecry:)

CONGRATULATIONS ON GETTING FEATURED IN EQD :yay:

Chapter 5 is supposed to be called a "Description," right? I'll give this a look later. Congratulations on making it onto EQD.

Thanks everyone :yay:

It sure is. Thanks for pointing out my obvious typo. I'll go change it.

I'm enjoying it so far. Caught a couple of errors though:

- "Mayor! That's ridiculoud!" Terra cried, sitting back down in her seat.

- "If anypony has anything else to add, then say it now, if not, then i announce this meeting as fini . . . "

Close together, about halfway down.

Thanks. I'll go get those fixed. I'm glad you enjoy it :twilightsheepish:

Oh no. No no no no no. :pinkiegasp:

This has to be some wretched dream, surely! To lose the chance at truest love, mere for the seeming "I need a bad boy" whims of a steadfast Rose, to now lose every shred of meaning in the rest of his life? Joe must be the instrument of the devil. What of Tinker? Being the elderly of the two, surely he must be dead..? To have Joe run wild?

Alexander, for two short chapters, these were brilliant. Sigh! :pinkiehappy:

Mm. So it goes - tragedy strikes and an opportunity beckons. I'm glad Tinker survived the stampede! Another excellent chapter, Alexander. Sigh! You have a decided knack for painting a plain, hard, rural life & how little there's kindness in that. Haunted, yet so very romantic. Can't wait to read more!

You're too kind :twilightsheepish:

I'm glad you enjoy it.

This story is getting interesting, I like where this is going! :pinkiehappy:

A shame that you abandoned this. :applejackunsure:

What I don't understand is why he couldn't have sheared the sheep and sold the wool and then sell the mutton to a butcher and buy new sheep with the profits? Unless the sheep belonged to his clients and therefore not his own livestock. Even at that, he could have proposed doing such, even if he might not have been able to replace sheep for sheep, he'd at least have given his clients an opportunity to keep their loss from being a total loss. And he could have still worked as the shepherd. It might take time for trust and confidence in his shepherding ability to be restored, but at least he could keep shepherding and by his efforts prove it was just a bad event, rather than a regular occurrence because of carelessness and being lackadaisical in executing his duties.
