Hearth's Warming Eve is one of the worst times of the year for Scootaloo. With a father who left years ago and rarely contacts her and a mother who pays her little attention, family togetherness is only a remote possibility. The only thing she has to look forward to is a gift and a smile from Rainbow Dash. When even this seems to have been taken from her, Scootaloo decides she's better off wandering the streets than staying at home feeling sorry for herself.
While meandering in a mostly empty Ponyville, Scootaloo comes across somepony whose even more alone than she is.

For a typical brony, getting transported into the mystical land of Equestria would be a dream come true!

Well, that's fine and dandy and everything, except when that happens to Trip, who isn't exactly a fan of My Little Pony. In fact, he kind of hates it.

But things never work out the way he wants them to, anyway. Soon, he faces the tough reality of unreality, and finds out how hard it actually is to exist inside of a children's cartoon.

Princess Celestia, when not facing down end of the world catastrophes, has a very basic routine she's come to tolerate. From sunrise to sunset, the same schedule over and over. Listening, petitioning, more listening and then finally announcing her verdict.

When she's finally done with the affairs of the court and tending to the populace, she decides to go take a nap. To a special place that no pony can find her, a place that no pony would suspect a princess to safely secretly slumber . For where she's heading is worth more than a dragon lord's horde and it makes her happier than a day spent at a Summer Sun Celebration. It's a magical place that Celestia doesn't feel the eyes of everypony watching her. Magical Daycare.

Berry Punch has lived her entire life behind the mask of Ponyville's happy, drunken, party animal. But does anypony know the real her?

Pinkie has always had some deep insecurities in the back of her mind. Whether it's about her friends, her husband, or her own kid. For some reason, deep down, she's terrified that every pony around her is going to leave her. One day, these thoughts come full force to the front of her mind, and she's too weak to push them away. In this sorrowful state, Cheese Sandwich pays his loving wife a visit and they talk things out.

For the first time in a long time, Pinkie gives in, and stops being the Spirit of Laughter for a change.
