Formerly named Broadcast: The Great War.

Colourful ponies reacting to humans, and eventually the horrors of industrialized warfare.

This story will be in the format of ponies and other creatures in Equus interacting/reacting with the sweeping technological improvement brought on by the humans, as they descend into total war. Idea originally conceived on 5/4/2025, also my first attempt on HiE.

"1908 AD (Anno Domini)—Equivalent to 1003 ALB (After Luna Banishment)

Cenbaphae (lit. "star-like formations" in Sylvestinian)—the continent of the Humans: a race of magicless, featherless, and partially furless bipedal mammals, averaging approximately 1.71 metres in height—or 3.42 hooves tall. Their elongated, lanky limbs end in peculiar minotaur-like appendages known as hands and feet, and their bodies, while uniform in structure, vary widely in pigmentation and appearance. Capable of both great deeds of good and monstrous evil. They are divided into myriad of nations—republics, kingdoms, empires and more—they are distinguished by diverse ethnicities and rich cultural tapestries, spread broadly across their homeland.

Their sudden arrival in our world was met with widespread anxiety—and no small amount of curiosity. A great magical storm accompanied their transmigration, stirring fears across Equus of a possible return of the Storm King. These concerns were only eased when Pony explorers, dispatched by the Alicorn Sisters, confirmed the existence of the new continent and the new strange race inhabiting it.

Thankfully, first contact proceeded peacefully. The Humans welcomed the ponies with friendship and cooperation, and before long, they were formally introduced to the world stage through Equestria. As trade routes opened, human technology spread like wildfire—transforming societies across the world almost overnight.

The Humans’ advanced mastery of metallurgy, engineering, and chemistry—combined with local magic—rapidly ushered in an age of sweeping industrialisation: an era of marvellous innovation, population growth, and deeply unsettling, rapid change.

Yet, Cenbaphae was far from the peaceful, technologically enlightened and magicless land many had imagined. Dubbed "a powder keg" by human historians, the continent simmered with long-standing rivalries, territorial disputes and imperial ambitions—like a keg of explosive powder, waiting to explode. It took only a single gunshot to ignite the conflagration—plunging the continent into a devastating conflict.

One that would reveal the darkest depths of industrialised warfare, the future of warfare—and expose the duality of man and creature alike. A war that would show just how monstrous even the most civilised, peace-seeking beings could become. Though it would be known by many names—The War to End All Wars, The Great Powder Keg—one would echo loudest across Equus and Cenbaphae alike:

Sunset Shimmer, prized pupil of Princess Celestia, has taken the most brash decision of her life. She will now have to live in the human world for years before being able to return. Fortunately, she has the help of some natives to endure this experience.

Fair warnings:

This is a different take on Sunset's story pre Equestria Girls, where things happened differently. This story will contain Sunset exploring everything she possibly can about the human world, leading to subjects some might find uncomfortable. So you have been advised.

There is no sex in this story, but there will be talk about sex, although it'll be later on. Nudity will be common but not in sexual situations (at least not early on).

This story will also deal with bullying, but not too dark.

Bon Bon had honestly thought her life as a secret Agent wouldn't come back to haunt her. But, when the Bug Bear returned, she became worried. She meets with Celestia after the wedding, asking if there is anything she should be concerned about.

What Celestia tells her, shocks her to the core. She has a daughter, a clone created from her own DNA from her Agent days on the off-hoof chance she would need replacing. When the agency dissolved, the clone was given to a family, Celestia not knowing Bon Bon hadn't known the clone was still alive or whether or not she'd wanted to keep her as her own daughter.

Now, Bon Bon must find a way to break it to the filly that her life has been a lie. She isn't the pony she thought she was and her family are, tehcnially speaking, not her family.

Motherhood was never said to be easy. Well, when your daughter's a clone of yourself and has lived all her life unaware, it's even harder.

With everything going back to normal... *Pft* Who am I kidding? Nothing is normal in the town of Ponyville. With the everyday craziness that you can find there, you can now find even more of it. I present to you Pinkie Pie and Diane Pie! Yes, there are two of them in town now!

As Alexander settles into Ponyville as Diane Pie. He enjoys the daily life of Pinkie Pie as she shows him the ropes to being a party pony. Meeting the family, explaining what is going on to every new pony he meets and getting used to now being called "she". All in a pink pony's day.

Trying not to think about her own home world Diane jumps the opportunity to fit in. All is fine, even if she does know that some things will be coming their way in the near future... Only thing is that she thinks she knows what. When in reality, she has no idea how wrong she is.
For in the shadows, there are others, not so happy with the recent turn of events. And they will do anything to get things their way.

But for now, let's see if we can get a status report from Diane Pie as she once again turns to the fourth wall to explain what happened since we last saw her and what is currently going on.

Trixie always messes things up. She just cannot do anything right.

This is a collection of short stories taking place in Ponyville. Don't take these too seriously, I'm writing these mainly just to clear writers block.

Sablewing the Wicked, a black-hearted dragon with an immunity to magic, invades Canterlot with his army of diamond dogs, goblins, and kobolds. As they attempt to defend their kingdom, Princess Celestia and Princess Luna are captured and imprisoned by the foul reptile, and he proceeds to take over the entire city. A rescue attempt made by Princess Cadence and Twilight Sparkle is then performed, and immediately thwarted, resulting in their capture as well.

Having used the Elements of Harmony to save the Tree of Harmony recently, and being one pony short of using them anyhow, Twilight Sparkle's friends find themselves in the worst predicament imaginable. After raiding the library in the Castle of the Two Sisters in search of an answer to their problem, they happen upon, and then proceed to use a spell that shoots out into the multiverse in search of brave, suitable heroes to combat this monster.

Answering the call, four strange characters come forth: The Green Knight, Orange Knight, Red Knight, and Blue Knight; each powerful warriors in their own separate rights, who have honed their expertise in the field of beating the ever-living crap out of anything that has the sheer balls to simply be standing in their way.

Having been bored out of their minds in their home dimension (and being threatened that they would never return should they decide not to help), the four knights jump to the challenge to RIP AND TEAR and rescue some more princesses. They set off, weapons and sandwiches in hand, to kick some monster butt, crash some castles, and take names as violently as physically possible!

...Oh, and a certain mailmare with strabismus joins along on the mad adventure.
