Many hardships will follow on their journey to their secret base, but it is up to her and her comrades to persevere, as the fate of Equestria lies in their hands and hooves. Strap in and get ready for a wild ride!

Adapted from a workprint for a miniature effects film I tried to make years ago but was unable to finish. Thought it would be good writing exercise to adapt and expand the concept into a literary format. (Cover art by me.)

Some warnings before reading: This story deals with the Equestria-as-a-planet concept (something I'm not particularly a fan of but was necessary for the plot), the world is very retrofuturistic as it's an homage to 80s sci-fi/action, I tried to make the combat and military organization sound technically accurate (so expect a lot of attention to detail on how their systems work and sentences full of abbreviations and acronyms), and there is of course some profanity. If these aren't your thing then I suggest avoiding this one, but feedback and criticisms are appreciated.

It's one in the morning on the day of her marefriend's visit, Twilight Sparkle should be in bed getting some sleep, but no, she is up conducting various experiments on various theories that she and her marefriend had come up with during their last conversation.

The purple pony princess misses her intended target and instead of her magical blast connecting with the object she had intended it for, her magic is absorbed by a bottle of the common household chemical Bleach. Twilight gets to deal with the now sentient chemical and his claims that he is the emperor of Equestria, she is not very amused.
