Flurry Heart has made the ultimate sacrifice, but is it truly over? After using her own life essence to restore Equestria to an inhabitable state in her own world, she is reborn into a new one. But this one seems much purer, while the enemies that cost her everything to defeat are all either banished or destroyed. Even her mother and father are still alive, and more surprisingly, even her Aunt Twilight? What is this twist of fate and what does it mean for Flurry Heart?

First you're born, and then you're recorded in triplicate. The end of labor is the start of a very long paper trail, because nopony can exist without being documented. Sending copies of a new foal's documents to the Herdbook Registry is perfectly normal. And of course, in order to make sure there's nothing strange going on, that paperwork gets reviewed. Which is done by bureaucrats who establish absolute control inside their office while having no idea of what's happening in the actual world. So as far as they're concerned, the forms associated with somepony named 'Flurry Heart'...

Don't tell them. It's funnier if they find out on their own.

Starlight isn't a child person. But Sunburst is.

She was not good enough for him.

That was the thought that stabbed through her mind as she watched Sunburst play with Flurry Heart, gently playing with the toddler in front of him, seeming enamored by him as they together danced around the Hearths Warming tree, the younger filly leading her husband around and pointing at the ornaments she put up.

Starlight was never like that with young kids.

Or what it means to be a parent.

Sunburst too, is blind to much, but this doesn't stop him from being an excellent teacher. He lives a quiet life of excellence, unaware of his own greatness, blind to his own goodness. Teacher, friend, trusted advisor, lover, Sunburst is many things to many ponies.

Flurry Heart, his beloved student, tries his patience something awful.

Princess Cadance wakes up to care for Flurry Heart in the middle of the night, but notices something. She's growing. This makes her realize her little baby isn't going to stay little for very long, and thinks ahead to all of the wonderful things yet to come.
