After deciding to run away to the Badlands in order to try and find his destiny, Spike encounters the old villain, Nightmare Moon. After an unsuccessful attempt to posses him, Nightmare Moon is now stuck in his head.

The Friendship Games are over. Crystal Prep has failed to trounce CHS, Cinch's manipulation of her best student is out in the open, as is the fact that the principal's actions nearly led to the fabric of the universe being torn apart.

Before Cinch can begin dealing with the aftermath, a certain someone invites her for a visit into a land of magic and friendship.

There really is no excuse for forgetting something as important as a hoof-written law. But Celestia forgot. And now, a thousand years after she wrote it, a law comes into play mandating that Celestia take a two-month sabbatical from her duties as Princess of Equestria.

So what happens when she has to step down for a couple months and leave Luna by herself in the bloody gladiator ring that is Equestrian politics? What happens when Celestia has to disguise herself and mingle with the populace of Ponyville without them knowing?

The short answer to that would be "a string of hilarious chance encounters, sisterly banter, romantic mishaps, and a political coup that was decades in the making."

The long answer, of course, is this story.

Every one thousand years, alicorns release a pheromone that makes everypony around them become obsessive snugglers, and since this is Twilight’s and Cadence’s first time, Celestia summons them to Canterlot. Upon their arrival, Celestia is horrified to see her sister magically seal them all in her bedroom, but she is quick to discover that being locked in a room with three snuggling-obsessed alicorns isn’t that bad.

Ever since Twilight Sparkle gained her cutie mark, a particularly magical event that she still barely remembers, a small scribble has been barely visible on her fetlock. A First Words Soulmate Mark. As time marched on, those very words ever so slowly became clearer. It is on the eve of her big brother's wedding that she hears those words spoken... by his fiance.

But that should be impossible, right? His fiance was her childhood foalsitter, wasn't she? Twilight has clear memories of their time together. Plus, wasn't Cadance already her brother's soulmate? She'd never heard of one pony having multiple soulmates before. On top of all that, the first words she had heard from Cadance absolutely weren't a coldly delivered "Hope I'm not interrupting anything important." This needs to be investigated...
