Contains spoilers for "Friendship games"

Being an admirer of the classic arts, Sunny Flare loves the theatre. She has actually written quite a respectable amount of plays herself, aiming to be just as good as the greatest of their times. But no matter how brilliant and deep the hobbyist writer thinks her scripts are, the theatre group of Crystal Prep Academy refuses to play them. When an opportunity to actually perform and direct one of her works pops up Sunny is more than eager to take it. But as she tries to bring her vision onto the stage, she is not only confronted with the difficulties of transmitting that vision to the other Shadowbolts - but also with the flaws in her own script.

The outbreak of Covid-19 has certainly caused a huge change in the status quo. Several shops, and non-essential businesses have all closed up leaving many without the income they need. Such an example is poor Sunset Shimmer. Luckily she does have another option thanks to her streaming career. Of course it has also affected her friends, and some of the Shadowbolts as well.

No one is without some scars. Some are on the surface, and fade with time, but others run deep, and may never fully heal. And any number of things can cause those scars to reopen.

Quiver Quill's scars run deep, deeper than even his closest friends in Ponyville are aware of. And thanks to helping to organize a class assignment at Ponyville Elementary, his scars will start to come to the surface thanks to interacting with a filly who's caused quite a few scars of her own - Diamond Tiara. His interactions with her will lead to both of their collective scars coming to the fore, and force them to see the results of their actions.

This story is a sequel to Dead by Sunset

Starlight Glimmer has never had the opportunity to be 'normal' but despite everything that's happened, she still tries to find happiness.

The closest thing she can find to that happiness is when she's with Sour Sweet, one of the only people in the world she's ever met who understands her, so despite her fragile grip on reality, Starlight Glimmer wants to stay beside Sour Sweet no matter what.

Maybe, hopefully, Sour Sweet might feel the same.
