Anyway, better news. The next chapter for Scars of the Quill is all set and ready to go, and I will be working on the epilogue tomorrow. Barring unforeseen circumstances, it will be done tomorrow as well...and maybe both will go up this Friday.

Well, I'm glad that response thus far has been positive for the most recent chapter for Scars of the Quill. I've been building up to this story for a good long time, and while the details have shifted around in my head a lot, many of the story points remained the same. The revelations regarding Quiver Quill's past happens to be the single biggest thing that was firm from day one for this story.

The next chapter for Scars of the Quill, as previously stated, will be out the Friday of next week - April 6, 2018. The following chapter will be much shorter than that, and will be followed by a much shorter epilogue. With any luck, they'll be out on April 13 and April 20, respectively.

The next Vignette will be released sometime in May. I haven't decided upon a firm date, but I'm leaning towards May 11.

I feared it would happen with previous chapters, but I'm afraid to say that this time, my fears were proven true. Chapter Seven for Scars of the Quill won't be posted this coming Friday, mostly due to the sheer length of it - as of right now, it's clocking in at a little over five thousand words. A tiny part of me is worried that when all is said and done, it could equal more than three times that.

Again, I'm happy to say that Scars of the Quill is getting so much positive attention. Seriously, the most recent chapter got more views within a few days than the one previous to it had the entire week beforehand. Methinks that many people were very happy to see Spoiled Rich get a little bit of comeuppance.

I'm pleased to note that the newest chapter for Scars of the Quill has generated a good amount of attention, and none of it negative. Given the subject matter that came up, I feared some backlash. Anyway, I figure now's as good a time to address some points in the chapter itself, as well as some stuff in the story thus far.

There's a very good chance that, despite it almost being done, I won't have the next chapter for Scars of the Quill online and ready for viewing this coming Friday. The reason for this is actually very good - I might just have employment again starting tomorrow, and any time spent at work is obviously going to take away from the writing.

In any case, wish me luck folks, and I'll do my best to get the next chapter out as soon as I'm able.

I was hoping to get work finished on the next chapter for Scars of the Quill on Tuesday, but it looks like it's going to continue growing in the telling. So yeah, if I'm lucky, it'll be done on Wednesday instead.

Regardless, I'm on track to get it out and online on Friday. I'm cautiously optimistic that it'll cause folks to sit up and take notice, if only because of the big thing that I have planned for it.

Okay, it's getting more and more obvious that Scars of the Quill is going to be a longer story than I'd initially planned. Between that and creative difficulties, it's definitely going to be totally released by the end of April, rather than the end of this month as I'd initially hoped. So, I'm adjusting the planned release schedule a little.
