Finally achieving her dream and making it to the top, to the prestigious Canterlot Symphony Orchestra, Octavia had thought it would be a dream come true. But sadly it wasn't. Her audience nearly always consists of the worst high society had to offer, with their empty words and holier-than-thou attitudes. It's never about the music now, and Octavia can feel herself slowly losing hope that it ever will be.

Can one ditzy mailpony be the saviour she needs?

A series of non-related song-inspired one-shots that dip into the lives of Vinyl and Octavia as they suffer, live, grow, and love together.

Though many fear her, Princess Luna is responsible for guarding the ponies while they sleep, both from the monsters that creep forth from the Everfree Forest to devour their bodies, and from the nightmare beings that rise out of the Deeper Slumber to devour their souls. As the sun dips below the horizon, Luna readies herself for yet another night of battle.

Vinyl Scratch, the most famous DJ across the entirety of Equestria, holds a deep, dark secret. Why does she let no one into her music room? Not even her beloved Tavi.

Octavia never ceases to be impressed by her marefriend Vinyl, a dhampony who has too much time on her hoofs as it is thanks to her extended lifespan.
One thing Vinyl chose to spend her extended time on is her bottle cap collection, among other things.

There isn't enough mundane slice of life OctaScratch with dhampony/vampony Vinyl so I will provide.

Spike doesn't attend this years Gala, seeing that it was just to boring and uptight for his taste. However, the boredom at a rather deserted Ponyville proves to just as boring as the Gala. A whisper coaxes Spike into attending the Gala to create mischief.

Octavia Philharmonica has achieved everything she ever dreamed of. Thanks to her skill, talent, and friends, she has risen to the rank of Court Musician and has earned the right to perform for the Princess and the nobles as frequently as she could want. Yet the musical scene of Canterlot is never still, and she learns that a new musician is taking the city by storm. At first, Octavia's interest in the musician is merely professional, and she wants only to learn more about his new style of music. However, as she is drawn deeper into his concerts, she learns that this newcomer harbors a wicked secret, and his phenomenal success may have more to do with dark magic than music. Octavia will need to use all of her ability and strength to expose the truth and stop him, or the entire city may fall under his sway.

Though AU, the only thing you need to know from the setting (Lunaverse) is that Luna is raising both the sun and the moon. Anything else relevant will be covered in-story
