This story is a sequel to Prey and a Lamb

'Little lamb, Little lamb, where have you gone?~ I've sown the fields and reaped the corn~'

Ups and downs, triumphs and setbacks. This story(s) mainly draws from the characters after the end of 'Prey and a Lamb'. These individual story-chapters are both about what came afterwards, and their owners involvement in the wider events of Equestria.

You don't necessarily have to have read the marathon long previous story, (its really long, I know) as the characters can stand alone to an extent, but it might help. Or not? You can do as you please.

Now, as a word of how I plan to do this, first off: There is no release schedule! Sorry, no bi-weekly update grindstone writing. However, each chapter will be a small self contained story in itself. I will maybe use certain characters more than once, and interweave these min-stories Time Lines, but this will at least mean there are no cliff-hangers at the end of each chapter.

(Disclaimer: I own nothing and have no say in FiM and associated industries. The cover image came from a suggestion from earth)

For the nocturne of the Royal Dream Service, the night is the time when their purpose as ponies is fulfilled. By traveling through the Dreamscape, they are capable of delivering dreams to sleeping ponies across the world.

Once each year, one deliverymare is chosen to carry a most important dream--tonight, that mare is Night Whisper. By all rights, it should be a delivery like any other.

A routine delivery. A dream identical to that of each past year, delivered to a mare who lived each day identically to the last.

But nothing can be called "normal" when flying to the Moon.

Seven ponies have been transported from ancient times to the modern era. In their own time, they were heroes, and to this day they are (mostly) remembered fondly. However, the time between their departure and return has left society completely different.

Princess Luna, remembering her own period of adjustment, wisely decides that the Pillars of Equestria need personal guides to this new era.

She, not so wisely, selects them herself without consulting anyone and assigns them to their select heroes.

This... may not end well.

This story is a sequel to Guardsmare Twilight: Call of the Shadows

A week has passed since the battle against the Nightmare and Twilight Sparkle's ascension. Her recent achievements have once again forced a tough decision upon her - duty to Equestria or loyalty to her friends. Meanwhile, new threats are scheming in the shadows, waiting for their opportunity to pounce.

Welcome back to the newest instalment of Guardsmare Twilight. While this is the third story in the series, I tried to make it as self-contained as possible and included a short recap for those who stumble upon this story. Reading the previous stories is not required, but if you find yourself interested in what happened, feel free to check them out.

This story will be divided into arcs. I write them as I go, so don't be surprised if you see longer waiting periods between uploads.

Thanks again to Little Tigress for providing this amazing cover art.

There are a lot of stupid and terrible rumors in Equestria (and beyond) about flying city Starspire and his citizens night pegasi (batponies or thestrals).
For example, that night ponies are militarists and religious fanatics who drink blood, kidnapping foals, and in general responsible for half of the problems of poor ponies.
It's time to disprove them, by telling a story about three friends, living in time before the events of the original show for more, than a thousand years.
