Braeburn is tired of being a single hunky stallion. On a visit to see his cousins at Sweet Apple Acres, Braeburn convinces Big Mac to accompany him to an evening of Speed Dating! (Surely the fastest way to catch a mare!)

This is me having a bit of fun and pairing up some unlikely characters. If you don't like Crack Ships like I do, then it's best to turn back now. As this story contains ships I have confirmed are totally original, I have listed some portmanteaus at the bottom to christen them!

As far as Fashionably Late is concerned, the Azdariz Diamond is just another jewel her husband Filthy Rich has bought for her. So when she loses it, she confides in Rarity that she'll be putting an announcement in the paper: whoever finds the diamond can keep it.

To Rarity, however, the Azdariz is the finest gemstone ever produced in Equestria, and she's determined to keep it from falling into less appreciative hoofs. Donning the Mare-Do-Well suit, Rarity slips into Ponyville's midnight shadows to track the diamond down before the announcement gets published.

Then Rainbow Dash gets involved. Then things get complicated.

This story was awarded 6th place in the April 2015 Writeoff Association contest, "Great Expectations," and the cover art was commissioned from marking.

Rarity has always prided herself as being a generous mare, but ever since the debacle with the Friendship Journal's publication, she has felt the need to send gifts or help to ponies she wronged in the past. The degree to which she acts generously may be excessive, but Rarity knows that it'll be for the greater good. Maybe she can rebuild her damaged reputation, but like most situations, generosity comes first.

When she tasks herself with helping the Wonderbolts, Rarity has no other choice but to perform one of her least favorite activities. It's the worst possible thing, but it's also the best opportunity to show the world how much she truly cares for other ponies, even if that means subjecting herself to something genuinely awful in the process.

It just won't be a clean process.

The mares of Herd Apple - Applejack, Rarity, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy - celebrate the birth of Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo to the lone human in Equestria. The mares adjust to their life as dams in a town that isn't happy with their choice of stallion. Doug has to adjust a role he never thought he would have before he came to Equestria: caretaker of three foals.

Reading of previous books is not required, though some events from earlier years may be referenced.

Rainbow Dash wants what any mare wants in the fall. That sinfully seasonal hot beverage that has its claws deep in every female in equestria. The pumpkin spiced latte. No fall season would be complete without it, and Dash has a plan to get one before they sell out. Unfortunately for Mac, he's getting dragged along for the ride, and knowing Dash's luck with seasonal beverages, he knows getting a latte may not be as simple as it sounds.
