When they were young, Big Mac and Cheerilee stumbled across a spot in the orchards that they made all their own.

From friends to lovers to nothing at all, their spot was always there.

Two decades later, the two meet there by accident and end up having a long overdue conversation about their past relationship and what their future might hold.

Practice makes perfect. And Princess Twilight wants everything to be perfect. Especially the end of the world.

While visiting the library, Big Macintosh comes up with a prank to get even with Rainbow Dash for one played on him.

Applejack has never missed a meal on purpose before, let alone a Pie Day dinner – that glorious day of the week serving Granny's famed hot, fresh apple pie. So why was Applejack absent at the dining table today, of all days? Little does the rest of the family know, Applejack's a lot closer than they think – she's in her bedroom, nervously pacing around and building up the courage to perform the single hardest thing she's ever done.

Who is Big Macintosh?
That's always been a bit of a mystery.
Aside from 'the big, red, quiet stallion at Sweet Apple Acres', not many ponies actually know.
Rainbow Dash is no exception.
Sure, she's seen him around a bit, but their relationship doesn't span much further than 'the brother of Applejack'.
One night, she talks to him.

This story is primarilly Slice of life, but does suggest romance and shipping.
So the romance tag is more for 'light romantic themes'.

This story is a sequel to When The Field Becomes Fallow

Mac attends a ceremony to honor his service in the Army of the Sun's reprisal against the Changeling's brazen attack on the Equestrian capital during Prince Shining and Princess Cadence's wedding. He continues to cope with the often unseen aftershocks of conflict, trying to find some semblance of the life he once knew. With the help of his family, he's sure he can overcome his adversity. However, a mind is a terrible thing to leave broken.

Princess Celestia always thought she knew how her kingdom worked. The Unicorns used magic specialized to their jobs. Pegasi flew in the sky and handled the weather. And Earth ponies... Earth ponies... uhhmmm...
Huh. Maybe Princess Celestia didn't know everything about her ponies after all.
Princess Celestia realized this after Applejack came to speak with her about a tax unfair to Earth pony farmers. It was during their conversation that Celestia realized she needed help.
Huh, isn't that odd Princess Celestia has had to leave on emergency business, leaving Luna to raise and set the sun? And hey, is that a new pony living and working at Sweet Apple Acres? I think her name is Sunshine Meadow. Surely, it's just a coincidence. Surely.

Fluttershy moonlights as a masked pianist at a local nightclub to pay a few extra vet bills. Known only to the patrons as the beautiful and mysterious "Piano Mare", they lavish her with love and coin each time she comes. But one night Big Macintosh and Rainbow Dash are in the club at the bar, and they spot her. Will they see through the flimsy ribbon mask? (Song Fic based around Billy Joel's "Piano Man", Rated T for implied filly-fooling)

Twilight Sparkle decides to get farming lessons from Ponyville's premier farmers...Big Macintosh Apple. Apple Bloom sees this as an opportunity to set up the two single ponies. But she'll need Twilight's number one assistant, Spike, to help as well. Twilight could never imagine somepony as handsome as Big Macintosh being interested in some egghead unicorn. While Big Macintosh can't imagine someone as well read and beautiful as Twilight Sparkle being interested in a simple farm colt. But drama from Twilight's past may keep her from risking everything on true happiness.

This isn't the first fan fiction I've started working on, but it is the first I've chosen to post on here. I know TwiMac fiction has been done many times, and many of the elements here will be recognized in other people's stories. But I love the idea of these two being together. It's the whole opposites attract angle. Sure the most popular is FlutterMac, but to me the problem with that is both are so soft spoken I can't see their relationship being all that interesting. I'm sure there are some good ones out there, but to me these two are the ideal shipping. I hope you enjoy ^_^
