It was just a bad cold. But the Cakes are first-time parents, they panicked, and... well, the twins fully recovered in the Canterlot hospital. Pinkie just didn’t know about any of it until now, because she was on a mission. So to make up for her absence, she’s sending the Cakes home. Pinkie can bring the foals home after they’re discharged. Which should be any minute now.

...or hour...

Well, it’s a big hospital. Maybe she can find something to do.

The Cakes have received a special commission: making some of the desserts for a global conference which will be hosted by the Diarchy themselves. As such, they're a little nervous about creating the right dish. And so after consulting a very old book, they're going to make something which nopony has seen (or smelled) for a very long time, a cake which requires one extremely special filling.

The world is a strange and wonderful place, particularly if you are a child of Ponyville. Pound and Pumpkin Cake explore their tiny corner of Equestria.

ONESHOT: There can be horrific events in our lives, some we will never forget. Today, Mr. and Mrs. Cake will have a moment like that, when they buy a Starbits coffee machine, and a certain hyper pink pony wants to try it out...

The arrival of a new "Star Buck's Coffee" in Ponyville is putting the pressure on Sugarcube Corner. The Cakes worry they'll soon be forced to say 'goodbye' to their bakery, until Pinkie Pie discovers a sugar-craving plant. Is this bizzare vegetation the bakery's saving grace, or will Pinkie Pie find it's growing appetite too much to handle?

A greedy corporate baron, a ravenous plant, musical numbers, and romance. Three of these four things are in this story, and since there's no shipping tag, you only get one guess.

Story is author-rated to be approximately PG (Nopony gets eaten or anything like that).

Is Mr Cake literally a cake? Pinkie Pie seems to think so – but will her investigations really reveal that Mr Cake is made solely from delicious margarine, sugar and flour, or is something else afoot? One thing is certain – the Cakes are hiding something from her, and Pinkie will expose the truth no matter the cost!

Mrs. Cake’s life isn’t always a piece of cake. The bakery needs running, Pound and Pumpkin are always up to something, and babysitters aren’t always easy to come by.
