This story is a sequel to Before the Dawn

Over 1,000 years ago, King Sombra took hold of the Crystal Empire and cast a curse upon it and its ponies. Luna and Celestia mourned the fall of the Empire and blamed themselves for failing its inhabitants.

Years later, the Crystal Empire has returned, and Twilight Sparkle and her friends have been sent off to free it from the evil clutches of King Sombra. But not everypony is in support of Twilight's mission. Luna remembers Sombra as he was before the evil Nightmist took hold of him and turned him into an evil tyrant. It is she who wishes to go to the Empire and save him if at all possible.

But Celestia will not allow it.

Now, as the ponies celebrate the Empire's freedom, Luna dream walks to ease the ache in her heart. In her ethereal form, however, she feels a presence in the distance and knows that she must follow it no matter where it leads...

One morning in Pipp’s salon, Mane Melody, a body was discovered. Thank goodness for Zipp and her detective skills. She has decided it’s up to her to find out the culprit.

This will be the darkest mystery she ever dealt with but...

The story from start to end, has been prewritten and split into chapters before being published.

Big Mac has built a good life for the Apple family by always being in control of himself. When events spiral out of control and everything goes wrong, he blames himself for what wasn't his fault.

Little is known of what lays beyond the land of Equestria. Tales of wondrous endless lands of odd peculiarities, others of horrific lands that would drive even the strongest of stallions mad. Not much is known of these lands, but one thing is for certain... those who enter never return and by if some miracle they do, they are never the same.

After the events of first arriving Twilight finds herself in a dark and twisted version of the previous land.

So who is the real She Wolf?

Thunderlane is called into his job as a lightning discharge technician for an upcoming storm in Manehattan. Just follow protocol and everything will go according to plan. Everything is a routine.

A new pony has come to Ponyville, a blue-colored pony by the name of Ocean Blue. Though mysterious, he soon finds himself among Twilight and the others, unintentionally becoming a welcome addition to the town. But when Princess Celestia and her sister Luna arrive in response to a letter from Twilight, the mysterious stallion is promptly arrested. The next day, for the first time in over a millennium, a pony will received the death sentence.
Twilight is left stunned and confused. Celestia tells her that Ocean Blue is a villain and must be stopped, but her own experiences don’t add up to what she is told. Can Ocean Blue be trusted? Is he a villain, as Celestia claims, or is Twilight’s own heart telling her the truth?
Equestria’s newest princess faces the hardest choice she has ever made: she can accept Celestia’s word as truth and watch Ocean Blue be killed, or she can risk her crown, her safety, her friends, and the companionship of her oldest teacher… and follow him into the wild.

Landing in the unforgiving badlands of greater Equestria, he aimlessly wanders through the unforgiving terrain. Eventually enslaved by diamond dogs, for ten long years he labors under their cruel whips, eventually escaping his captors only to become lost in the depths of Equestria's vast underworld. Dying of thirst, the man spies the Well of Eternity and drinks his fill. Its waters more than quench his thirst; a metamorphosis occurs and changes him, for good or ill none can tell. What fate shall befall this man, the Great Slave King?
