Rainbow Dash's recklessness has usually been getting her into trouble. Lately, the consequences of her impulsive decisions have finally started to catch up with her when her wing is broken and she can't afford treatment from Nurse Redheart. Rarity recommends to Twilight somepony who could be able to help with their situation and Twilight discovers a part of her friend's past.

Shining Armor insists that Twilight and her friends have royal guards to protect them from a rising threat. Much to Twilight's horror, the leader of this group of guards is non other then Flash Sentry. However, there is more then meets the eye when it comes to these particular guards. Friendships are formed and even some romance sparks.

Ships include Applejack/Flim, Twilight/Flash, Pinkie Pie/Cheese Sandwich, Fluttershy/Big Mac, and RainbowDash/Soarin. Rarity also gets a love interest as well as some minor ones in the background

I'll be honest, I never really liked the EG movies that much. They were fine, but just had too many plot holes. Also, they just didn't have the same level of wonder as the show. So, here's how I would have done it.

Rarity, Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, AppleJack, and Rainbow Dash are five acquaintances. Each walk a different path of life and have drastically distinct personalities, but one unexpected event brings them all together. Perhaps some friendships transcend dimensions, right? Or are they just going to fall apart?

Dusk just wanted to go to a picnic with his best friends before spending a relaxing weekend reading, but fate had other plans; namely his older brother's surprise wedding. Rainbow Dash and Rarity broke up, or at least Rainbow thinks they did. Canterlot has been threatened, and the one behind it is closer to the throne than ever. The guards put in place to combat the danger are being lead by Shining Armor's second-in-command Spearhead Sentry, who is spending more time fussing over his little brother Flash and being scared out of his mind by the fearsomely enigmatic Captain Spitfire to focus on training. Princess Luna and her personal guard of vampiric soldiers walk the streets enforcing a curfew, keeping the citizens safe at the expense of their freedoms. Dusk's old friends from school, the bridesmaids in the upcoming wedding between their own best friend and his older brother, miss him... but he doesn't even remember them anymore. The Queen of the Changelings is mobilizing her forces to destroy Princess Celestia and steal the Elements of Harmony, and she doesn't care how many innocent lives she destroys to do it...

The pieces are in place, and Dusk will have a lot on his plate over the next few days. It's a good thing he won't be facing it alone.

Fireflies AU: all equine characters are human, all other characters are anthro, and Twilight has been gender-flipped to Dusk Shine. This is just a snippet of the main story to showcase certain select aspects of worldbuilding, character backstory, lore, and the way magic operates in this AU, as well as the way I utilize retroactive continuity to bring characters introduced later on in the series than the Season 2 finale into play [such as Sunset Shimmer, Flash Sentry, Minuette, Thorax, Starlight, Sunburst, Tempest, and others pending Season 8 and whenever the fifth Equestria Girls movie is released] as well as events from the comics in order to allow for more plot developments. A teaser of sorts for the real thing, if you will. I also make many characters siblings (Spearhead and Flash), and make many other characters openly LGBT or otherwise queer.
Ships: contains Raridash, Dusk Shine X Flash Sentry, allusions to PinkieJack and ScootaBelle, one-sided crushes from Fluttershy to Rainbow and Rarity, from Minuette and Celestia to Dusk, and from Flash Sentry to Sunset Shimmer.
Sex tag for Rainbow and Rarity being intimate, Chrysalis having freaky bug sex, an allusion to an attempted rape, and for a frank discussion between Dusk and Flash about being queer.
Gore tag for Thorax getting his ass kicked in, an unnamed character getting his ass kicked in, bloodied and dead soldiers and changelings, and for an attempted gallows hanging.

But this story is special.

This story isn't just my first non-desplaced fic but is my first requested story!

When the CMC learn of a mission to help the Japandas (A unique race I made that I hope becomes a thing!) with finding their talents. Thing is... their big sisters (and one pegasus of awesome) don't want them to go.

A sort of follow up to the season 7 opener covering a topic we all know is coming.

Applejack has lost her farm to Flim and Flam and their revolutionary machine, and has been forced to move to Dodge Junction in disgrace. Rainbow Dash discovers a way to win Sweet Apple Acres back for the Apple family, but gets sucked into a situation that will try her loyalty towards her friends. Will Rainbow Dash be able to prevail over all odds and save her friend's livelihood?

At the same time, the Flim Flam brothers are causing unforeseen problems in Equestria. The impact of their machine and its implications causes everypony to realize they have no clue how they will affect the stability of the realm.

My first fanfic, so please bear with me and offer any comments and criticism you see fit. The story is going to start out slow but will pick up, and hopefully be something you enjoy! Let me know if there are any formatting issues; I have been doing a lot of copying and pasting between formats and things might have gotten mixed around.

Based on Mario and Luigi: Partners in time. One of the scientists has just discovered a way to travel between the timelines throughout Equestria. Princess Celestia along with two other ponies have been selected to go on a test run. However, the past doesn't seem to be right. It is now being invaded by an alien race known as the Shroobs and Princess Celestia has been captured. Can Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Rarity fix the past and save the princess?
