> The champions of chaos: Feral Blood > by Lockgate > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- > Prologue: Honour is for the san, mockery is for the mad > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The moon. It's beauty, boundless. It's existents, irreplaceable. Their is just so few thing's in this life with such beauty. Many story's were made for this godly body; as well as faith. But if anyone were to see her surface, they would see nothing but scars. Craters littered her dry, rocky flesh, evidence of fierce battles with her celestial brothers and sisters. Mountains as high as the heavens, while rare, where a true pentagon of natures power. Crevasses lined her eternal beauty, their depths endless, true testaments to the words 'a endless abyss of darkness'. Truly the moon is the embodiment of natures enduring power; never losing her beauty in her numberless age, even after all her bloody battle's. But if she could talk, her heavenly, angelic voice would say 'Their was a time so, so long ago were I never saw the clashes of the mighty. A time were I never heard or saw the sparks of metal against metal. A time were I never know of blood.' 'But now?' 'That's all I ever see.' The sounds of rattling metal echoed in the moons everlasting silence. It grew louder, and louder until it's source stepped into view. But she did not stop. Marching with her three jointed legs like a one women army, and she wont stop, not with her target dead ahead. Staring down at her like a beast with no eye's a wall of darkness marking the border of the light side, and the dark side of the moon. It seemed to glare at her, warning, no, daring her to even try and step passed the border. She stopped and checked her armour, the better the equipment the longer one lives. A motto she has never taking lightly. Her arms were clad in golden gauntlets, their aerodynamic designee helped for fast and powerful punches. Her gloves held a small gold ball on each knuckle for added damage. And on each finger, a small razer sharp claw sat over each nail, perfect for cutting a foe's jugular. Her shoulder guards had three short spikes, easily allowing her to spear her foe's with a powerful shoulder charge. Her breast plate hugged her body, and over her colour bone was a tribal designed sun emblem. Her back plate was similar in design as the breast plate, only it had two slits on the sides to allow her dark gold wings to hang by her sides. Her golden and demand incrusted warrior skirt chimed with every step she took. Her clawed hooves were clad in gold gauntlet boots, giving them an impression of gold plated talons. The only parts of her body that weren't covered by the gold armour was protected by thick chainmail. The only part of her body that wasn't protected was her head. Her hair was a brilliant blond, even thou it was short and cropped it still held beauty. Her eye's were a brilliant amber gold, they seemed to shine with power and knowledge. Her face itself, was beauty beyond words. Their was only one blemish that demined her beauty. Her brown pointed ears, the only thing other then her wings and extra jointed legs that showed she wasn't human. Once satisfied with her armour, she stared at her right hand. With a thought a glyph appeared in her palm, with strange words and seals appearing and disappearing faster then any normal being could read. But the gold maiden was far from a normal being. She was something much, much better. Nodding her head in satisfaction, the glyph disappeared and she continued her track. One step... Two step... Three steps... Four steps. That's as close as she will get, but she's still stood a good ten meters from the towering shadow. She waited. She waited. Times up. Two pairs of sapphire orbs shot through the darkness, staring right into her amber ones. The sounds of railing metal reached her ears, the sapphires moved in tandem with the chiming metals. A knee and a clawed hoof breached the dark wall, followed by a arm, then a head, then a body along with another arm, then finally the other leg. The opponent took a few short steps towards the gold maiden. Then stopped. Light sapphire eye's, filled with power and ferocity meet with amber gold one's filled with knowledge and power of her own. This new foe looked almost exactly like the gold maiden, only her armour pieces were dark azure blue. Her knuckles held small thorny spikes instead of balls. On the side of her azure gauntlets close to the arm joint two half M shaped spikes, their prepose, disarm the enemies weapon. Her shoulder guards were thick like boulders, used to crush her enemies skull, ribcage whatever she hit's first. Instead of a tribal sun, a tribal designed crescent moon sat comfortably on her colour bone. The back plate was the same as the gold maidens back plate, only the azure maidens wings were black, raven wings. However unlike the gold maidens back plate the azure maidens upper back had a curved spike sticking out, the tip facing down. The lower back had a similar spike but it was smaller with the tip facing up instead of down. If one were to look at her from a side angle they would see the spikes create a crescent moon shape, with the azure maiden herself being the bridge that connects the pikes together. Her hair was dark blue, and unlike the gold maiden, she had a lot of hair, set into a ponytail, but even so she still had some loss strands that lined her face. The two maidens stood sill, glaring at each other with such intensity one could almost see the air in-between them boil from the sheer hatred they sheared for each other. But even so neither dared made the first move. They stared. They stared. Finally, they can't tolerate it anymore. Almost as one each maiden took slow steps, inching closer and closer. Then they started to pick up speed. Then more speed. One more push. They both finally ran at each other in a full sprint. Their shoulders collided not a second later. The shear power in the impact caused the ground beneath their feet to crack and shake. Winds more violent then anything the moon could make herself thundered through its surface with a loud snap. The maidens pushed off each other. The gold maiden throw a right hook into the azure maidens face, then a kick into her kidney. The gold maiden throw a second kick, then a third, then a punch into the azure maidens stomach. Ignoring the pain the azure maiden grabbed the gold maidens arm with both hands, then head-butted the gold maiden, stunning her. The azure maiden dug three fingers into the gold maidens armpit, electing a scream of pain from the gold maiden. Effortlessly the azure maiden lifted the gold maiden into the air then slammed her head first into the ground. She didn't stop their. She lifted the gold maiden again and smashed her head first into the ground a second time. Then a third time. Then a fourth time. Then a fifth time. Then the azure maiden spun around a few times at inhuman speeds, then hammer threw the gold maiden faraway. The gold maiden sailed through the air, her balance to upset making flight impossible. She hit the ground but the momentum forced her into a tumble. Dust, rock and granite was thrown all over the place with each roll of the gold maiden. Lucky for her she managed to use one of her legs to push her into the air, allowing her just enough time to right her body. She landed on all fours, digging her fingers and clawed hooves into the ground quickly slowing her down. The second she stopped the gold maiden wasted no time in sprinting back towards the azure maiden. The azure maiden saw a cloud of dust heading straight for her. She readied a shoulder charge and sprinted towards the dust cloud, ready to meet the gold maiden head on. The two combatants drew closer, and closer and closer. And just when they were about to collide, the azure maiden saw a faint golden glow of soft light. Her eye's widened. On instinct the azure maiden used her powerful legs to jump several feet to the side, just in time to avoid the gold maiden's attack. The azure maiden skidded on the smooth ground. She shot a glared into the could of dust. Within the writhing cloud of stone and dust the gold maiden's armour glowed, it's light not impeded in the slightest from the thick smoke of gravel. With one mighty swing the cloud was gone. The gold maiden straightened up, slamming the butt of her weapon into the ground. It was a sun themed war hammer. Nothing more, nothing less. Simple, but powerful. And that's all the gold maiden needed. The azure maiden straightened up. She lifted her hand to the side. A glyph appeared in the palm of her hand. A pole of light formed for a split second, then disappeared. In the azure maidens hand she held a dark blue double ended fan axe. The cold blades seemed to radiate with their own, gentle moon light. The azure maiden got into a battle stance. One foot forward, the other back. Left arm forward, right arm posed, ready to strike. The gold maiden responded in kind. Legs parted. Firm grip with both hands on the war hammer. They charged. What happened next could never be followed by mortal eyes. With the speed of lightning the two maidens clashed over and over again in a blur of sparks. Dust was levelled into storms and twisters. The very moon itself shook from each clash of the ancient weapons. The ground began to sink, the fragile stone and crust of the moon giving in to the power with little resistance. Finally the gold maiden managed a hit. The azure maiden was struck square in the jaw by the barbaric weapon. She sailed through the air. Her flight short lived by the presence of a cliff wall. The azure maiden fell to the ground, dust lifted hiding her from view. The gold maiden slowly walked towards the downed foe, weapon at the ready. The dust parted. The gold maiden stopped. Eyes wide. A azure blue glyph the size of her body hovered in front of the azure maiden. Wordlessly she lifted her weapon. And stabbed the glyph. A countless number of spears of moon light shot from the impaled glyph. The gold maiden had no time to dodge or guard. Bracing herself as best as she could she took the hit. The spears collided with their target. Bright flashes of moon light flared with every spear that made contact, the sound each spear made on impact was like a hammer falling on a cats tail. The horrible screeching noise was like bloody murderer to anyone who heard it. The bright flashes proofed to much for the azure maiden as she herself shielded her eyes. The spell wore off. The spears stopped almost immediately. The azure maiden uncovered her eyes. The gold maiden stood on shaken feet. The damage of the spell was excremental. Most of her priesting gold armour was scorched or broken clean off her body. Blood flowed freely from several sever wounds all over her body. But she still refused to bow. The azure maiden took slowly steps, her balance upset slightly from the amount of magic used in that spell. The gold maiden took slow, shaken steps. Her stubborn nature refusing to let her stop. When the azure maiden felt comfortable with her balance, she charged. The gold maiden, still dazed and unbalanced, couldn't defend herself when the azure maiden appeared in front of her. The gold maiden felt a kick into her stomach and was launched several feet back. A right hook into the jaw. Then an elbow to the back. Refusing to say die the gold maiden used her sheer will to force her body up, elbowing the azure maiden in the jaw. Then the gold maiden punched the azure maiden in the kidney, stunning her foe. Rolling away from the stunned maiden the gold maiden grabbed her weapon and swung it with all the power she could muster. The azure maiden was hit with impressive force, but was only flung several feet away. The gold maiden breathed in and out with heavy breaths. Using her shear will she stood back to her shaking feet, but all the strength in her arms was spent. Her weapon hung lazily to her side, her grip just holding onto her heavy weapon. The azure maiden shook her head to clear her mind from the pain, spells were never her specialty. She stared towards the gold maiden, who glared back in defiance. The azure maiden sighed. This battle will end the same as the rest. A glyph appeared at her feet. She waved her hand in an arc, letting it stop at her side. A column of writhing shadows appeared by her side. Then another by its. Then more, and more appeared. More and more and more, one by one the shadows appeared form no were. The gold maiden looked around the area. She was surrounded, no escape. Then one by one the shadows took a crude form of the azure maiden herself, taking her shape and eye colour, but the body held no detail. The gold maiden know what came next, but she refused to stop. She wont stop. The azure maiden stared at the slightly panicked gold maiden. The gold maiden felt her gaze and turned her head to meet it with a glare. Using what little strength she had left the gold maiden weakly walked towards the azure maiden, dragging her own weapon behind her. Before the gold maiden could take to steps one of the clones struck. It charged at the gold maiden and slashed her with its own shadow fan axe. Its presence both physical and atrial, meaning its attack only did half the amount of damage the real azure maiden would have inflected, but still elected a scream of pain from the gold maiden. Then another clone attacked. Another scream. Then another attacked. Then another. Then another. One by one all the clones charged, each one taking one hit on the gold maiden then disappeared to what they were. Harmless shadows. The gold maiden felt pain she hadn't felt in century's, the cuts cutting deep, some hitting bone. But she powered through it and kept her march towards the azure maiden. finally, after a small eternity of pain, all the clones had been used. The gold maiden glared with her one remanning eye towards were the azure maiden had stood. She was no were to be seen. Before the gold maiden could realize her error in judgment, her would was filled with pain. Gasping with pain with each inch she lowered her head and stared at her chest. A blade stuck out of her chest, its soft pale moon life emitting glow dimmed by the thick life fluid. The gold maiden gasped as she felt herself being lifted into the air. The azure maiden held the impaled gold maiden above her. With quick and precise foot word, the azure maiden swung her double bladed fan axe in a perfect 180 and flung the gold maiden away. The gold maiden flew helplessly in the air. She screamed when she hit the ground with a loud and wet thud. She tumbled helplessly along the ground, her body spun lifelessly like a rag doll. Finally she stopped, her momentum gone. The azure maiden straightened, her weapon disappeared in a flash off moon light. She stared at the body of the gold maiden. “Are thou done.” She spoke with no emotion. The body twitched. Despite her lethal, horrendous wounds, the gold maiden weakly lifted her body her body, but only slightly, just enough for her to send a glare towards the azure maiden. “Please dear sister, killing us will not send thee home. Together we can find a solution. Cease this childish stupidity and we shall return home.” The azure maiden pleaded with her sister, but received no reply. The gold maiden forced her damaged body to her feet. A glyph appeared under her war hammer and it disappeared in a glow of yellow light. The gold maiden hobbled off, dragging her left clawed hooves. The azure maiden watched her sister limp away to her side of the moon. Guilt and sorrow build with the horrid show of weakness. But she couldn't help. She know she would just start another fight She sighed. An annoying habit she adopted after every battle, no matter how tough the battle or satisfying it may be. Hanging her head she walked off, back towards the dark side of the moon. The shadows welcomed her, seemingly parting to allow her to enter. The wall of shadows seemed to visibly calm, as if happy that its master has returned. To most the dark side was a whole other world. Its secrets kept hidden to everyone not of the night. The azure maiden had little to no trouble finding her way around the darkness. Her eyes could see through the darkest parts of the moon, its landscape was much smoother then the light side. But its true horrors lie within its dark tunnels and caves, were the shadows true power lies. As long as she is within the shadows, no one can defeat her. “Oh, I wouldn't go that far.” The azure maiden stopped. The shadows hissed and as something forced them back, clearing the area around her. The small area eliminated by an unknown light source. She looked this way and that. Her eyes darting around, looking for the owner of the voice. “Oh, don't tell me you forgot about me already Lucy.” The azure maiden stopped, her body tense. “What dos three want, Discord.” She demanded though gritted teeth. Two red eyes appeared in the darkness. The shadows stopped hissing, leaving behind a deafening silence. To frightened by the source to utter a single sound. A horrible dragon like head appeared from the shadows. It was the strangest thing any creature could ever see. It had two horns, the left one was a stags antlers, the other a rams horn. It Look like a dragon, but with the complexion and some sidle features of a gout. One foot long fang stuck out from the right side of its head. Its large, reptilian red eyes held within them knowledge, power, and if their was a third, insanity. “Good morning Lucy, or is it good night. The moon has always confused me.” Discord commented, looking around as if the answer was some where around him. “What dos thee want!” The azure maiden commanded, her temper wining the fight for control. Discord gave her a sideways glance, his ever precent smirk unfazed. “You really have forgotten.” He turned his head to face the azure maiden. “Today is the day I came for my gloating session. It has been nearly five thousand years since I kicked you out. Honestly, how could you forget that, Luna.” Luna growled, just barely holding back her anger. She turned around, her back facing the dragon. “Get out of my sight.” Discord raised an eyebrow, but kept his smirk. “Oh... And why would I do that?” Luna didn't respond. She did her best to ignore the dragons presence, in hope to keep her composure. An attempt Discord found, oh so very amusing. “Oh don't be that way, Lucy.” The darkness silently writhed in pain. Slowly a sharp talon pierced through the darkness, inching towards the azure maiden. Just an inch away. Then nothing but searing hot pain. Discord withdrew his hand, quite literally hissing in pain. He stared at the sharp digits. Morbid cariosity filled his eyes at the sight of the burnt keratin. Very few things could really damage the dragon, and one of these things was the gold maidens solar magic. But the most she could do was make him feel hot. A flash caught his eye. Discord shifted his gaze back to the azure maiden. His eyes widened. Blue flames writhed off her beautiful raven wings, generating a brilliant show of light and flames. The shadows, instead of shying away, surrounded Luna in a protective manner. Hissing at the dragon. “How did you do that? No one other being alive or dead has been able to cast without speaking the name of the spell. Other then me of course.” He received no response. The silence between them broken only by the hissing shadows and the writhing flames. The dragons face stretched into a... Pout of sorts. “Oh come now Lucy. Theirs no need to be so upset, it's just a simple question.” He could hear the slight retelling of Luna's armour. He smirked. “Do you want me to use your other name.” Silence still. “Come on, just tell me. I know how much you hate that name, don't make me use it.” Still no reply. But it didn't go unnoticed the increased aggression the of the flames. “Oh all right then if you insist. Please tell me.” He smirked “Lulu.” “ENOUGH!!!” A wall of fire and shadow was launched with a swing of her arm. It struck home, the flames envelop the dragons head instantly. Discord roared in pain, caught completely off guard, not by the spell, but the fact if actually hurt. With a wordless command the shadows fell back, expanding the small illuminated area, revealing the dragons body. It was serpentine, but covered in brown fur. He had four arms, two log but scrawny eagle talons and two short but meaty bear arms. His back legs was reptilian in nature, but took the appearance of a horses rear legs. Just like his arms he had two sets of wings, one set on his upper back, and another set on his lower back. The wings on his upper back looked like eagle wings at first, but then they changed half way into raven wings. His lower back wings were noticeably shorter then the upper back ones, and they appeared to look a lot like bat wings. His tail looked a lot like a normal dragons tail, but the tip ended with a hard growth that look a lot like a rock, but was actually thick keratin. Discord literally shacked the fire of his head, glaring daggers at the approaching maiden. “All thous changes in the past five thousand years and yet they still looks as ugly as the first day we meet thee. How disappointing.” The spikes on Luna's knuckles began to glow with pure moon light, a beautiful sight. Yet so intimidating at the same time. “Because that makes it harder to enjoy crushing they skull!” She charged, all composure gone, self-control gone. To consumed with anger that had been building up for the past five thousand years. Discord almost, and laterally, purred with accomplishment. Just as Luna was about to throw a right hook, Discord disappeared from view. The maiden skidded to a stop. A chuckle echoed from behind. She turned around to see Discord just siting on the ground like a board dog. Flashing her his best shit-eating grin. “ Well, I guess we know what you think of me. But sadly I cant let you do that my dear. One of the key things to know is that to run a successful country dose require a million dollar smile. And I cant really do that if you splatter my head into tiny pieces.” The jab instantly took effect. Luna charged at the dragon with renewed anger. Three glyphs appeared over her head. Her wings caught fire, her fan axe was drawn, and a battalion of clones came from the darkness. Discord didn't seemed fazed in the slightest. “I am curious, however, as to what has happened between you and Celestial. I mean, you two used to be tight. Like, really tight. Maybe even lovers tight. Or is that just me and my imagination.” It didn't escape Luna the way Discord slurred the word 'lovers'. A new wave of anger rushed through her and, throwing strategy out the window, charged at the dragon in hopes the numbers will be all she needed. Discord remained unfazed even after the clones struck him. Luna stabbed at the dragon, but received no muscle convulsion nor a reaction from the beast. Flapping her wings as hard as she could the maiden launched herself height into the air, above Discords head. Locking her bones, Luna dive bombed wings first into Discords body. This time she received a reaction: a chuckle. Discord turned his head to face the maiden, his shit-eating grin never leaving his face. Luna stood up to meet his gaze. “How dare thee accuse us of such vulgarity!” Luna's face showed nothing but horror and distaste. Discord just laugh. “Now, now I jest. But seriously, what's gotten into Tia lately? I've never seen you two fight each other with such aggression.” Luna became quiet. “I mean don't get me wrong its a huge turn on, I'm curious is all.” Discord was meet with an fan axe in his eye. Luna did not stop their and tried to dig her weapon into the dragons head, trying to make it as painful as possible. But all she received was his hysterical laughter. “Hahahahahahahahaha-tha-hahaha-that tickles! Hahahahahahahahah.” “Are sister has gone mad.” “She believes that by killing us the moon will disappear and the spell thee created will be nullified. Allowing her to fall to Earth, and eventually Equestrea.” She forced the weapon even further into the dragons head, refusing to giving to her aching muscles. “All because she is desperate to get home. To save the people thou has tainted! We've fought every day for the past three thousand years! And every day we have to mortally wound my own sister to keep are self alive! Do you know what that's like! Having to hack into your own kin so that thee can live!!!” With one last push the fan axe was pushed completely through the dragons head. But he still showed no signs of pain; wrather, Luna had only just realized Discord stopped laughing. He just stared at Luna, his face void of emotion. Then, a shit eating grin appeared along with a snort. Then a smile and some chuckles. Then he laughed, unable to hold buck his mirth. “Oh this is gold, just gold. The mighty Tia, fallen to a mortals deficiency. Hahahahaha. Oh I cant fell my sides. This is by far the best thing I've ever heard in eons. I mean-.” Discord didn't see it coming, granted he wasn't paying attention. His head fell to the floor, his neck swung left and right, like a gory sprinkler. Sound effects included. Discord looked around from his spot on the floor. He saw that the clones were gone, the spell cancelled so Luna could concentrate on her physical power. He looked up towards the azure maiden. He could see Luna glaring at him from atop his own body, not caring for the blood that rained down on her, drenched her armour or hair. Murderous intent was all he could see in her sapphire blue eyes. He grinned. “Ohhhhhh look at me! I'm a gross severed head.” He spoke in a high pitch female voice. “Oh please do you know who I am! I'm the God of chaos!” Luna dropped from her high point and landed with minimal force. For her that is. She stood up to her full height and marched towards Discords ever talking head, a new fan axe blade appearing in her hand. “Just what till my body finds me! He will-.” Luna pressed her fan axe right into Discords remaining eye, but he berley gave it any through. “really Luna, the eye. Again?” He questioned, his voice back to normal. “Thee would be wise to keep they mouth shut. Here on the moon we are far more powerful then on Earth.” “Oh really? And yet your still stuck hear.” Luna growled. “Fuck thee.” If Discord still had his eyes, they would have lightened up in fake joy. “Really, well I know this lovely little hotel back home. We can go their if you're really-.” Luna's growl turned into a scream of anger and annoyance. She pulled her fan axe out of Discords eye socket just to ram it in-between his eyes. On contact his head exploded into light, blinding the azure maiden. Once the light dimmed and the black circles disappeared from her eyes, Luna turned towards Discords decapitated body. Discords head glowed with an other worldly light. Then the light cracked like glass. Slowly more cracks appeared. Then the light shattered. Discords head rested in its rightful place. He snapped his head left, a painful crack resounded. He turned his head right, another crack ran out. He faced Luna once again, flashed her a toothy grin and a law chuckle. To which the azure maiden gritted her teeth in annoyance. “Well this was fun my dear, but I must cut this short. I've got one more goddess to anger and I've only got a few minutes to do so. Ta, ta Lulu!” Discords wings expanded to their full sizes. With powerful flaps Discord was air borne. With one mighty flap Discord flew away. Luna had no time to register the chaos gods departure. It was like he teleported away then flew away. But she didn't need to know were he went, she know were he was going. And she had no way to stop him. Even if she could catch up to him, she doesn't have the power nor the means to kill the chaos god. Despite the damage she did cause she know, while it did hurt him, it was all an illusion. Even the blood from the body was an illusion. Even now the blood was beginning to disappear, back to the nothings from which it came from. Her body shook, the metal retiling as if did so. “We... ” Her mind became clouded, her judgment failing her. As well as her sanity. “We.” Her hands tightened into fists, the force of her grip on the fan axe was so great the material almost gave in, but it held strong, but cracks still appeared over its smooth surface. “... ” “I.” Five thousand years she was on the moon, five thousand years she fought the demons in her mind. Then she had to fight her own sister for survival, while fighting these internal monsters. Today, five thousand years later, to the day. She finally lost. “Discord. ” Her voice had changed, it was the same, but so different. All the years of knowledge, all the experience that was held in it. Gone. “I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!” Discord glided through the shadow wall, relishing in the cold breeze that pelted his body. Just as he was about to land he flapped his wings to gain altitude. “I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!!!” He heard the roar of the azure maiden. And he smirked. A low chuckle grew in the pit of his throat. Then it instantly became full on hysterical laughter. He continued his flight, laughing all the way. Truly the moon is an enduring force, and may out live us all. Maybe, even the gods themselves. > I'm done > -------------------------------------------------------------------------- https://www.fimfiction.net/user/316443/PersonaGodzilla This guy's continuing my story's.
