It's time for the Cultivation Convention in Trotlanta. Applejack's usual partner has dropped out, and her other friends aren't interested. As it turns out, though, she won't have her hotel room to herself.

Telling scary stories around the campfire is a long camping tradition, but when Applejack gets tired of hearing Rainbow Dash tell the same story with different words, she decides to share one of her own that her mother told to her, a long time ago. It couldn’t possibly be true, of course, no matter what Pear Butter had said all those years before.
It’s not as if anyone has ever seen any proof, after all.
After the Gala, Applejack has a little too much to drink, and Rarity agrees to escort her home; but then, much to Rarity's embarrassment, Applejack decides that right then and there is the perfect time to confront the unicorn about their true feelings for one another.
Rainbow appears at Applejack's in the middle of the night with an odd request.
