Electra, the young and newly crowned captain of the Budgie Dream, has spent her entire life being told of the Carrion Skull, the Pirate ghost ship that supposedly has been flying the skies for over 200 years under the guiding wing of the legendary Celaneo. After her mother, the captain of the Dream, dies Electra becomes more and more enticed by the dreams of treasure.

Her crew leaves her, due to her young inexperience, and abandon the trading ship. And, with a bit of a twinkle in her eye, Electra forms a new crew with one propose: Finding the Carrion Skull or die trying.

And so, the motley crew made up of all the flying races began to raid towns for supplies, and become a new force in the wasteland. However, after conflicts with the enclave, they gain a brand new reputation as they continue to try and find the lost ghost ship.

Tempest Shadow sometimes wonders what her place is at Beanis Inc. If she was pressed to give it a job description, it would probably come out as "whatever Twilight and Wallflower need me to do." So when Twilight approaches her with the opportunity to manage her own new department, she jumps at the chance.

All she has to do is solve the minor issue of digital piracy.

After the Songbird Serenade's concert, Capper, Princess Skystar, and Captain Celaeno agreed to spend the night at Canterlot. Twilight had some thinking, yelling at Pinkie Pie was a bad idea, so she decided to continue her apology to her and her other best friends after Rainbow Dash interrupted when they were in the battle between them and the Storm King. Also, Spike talks to Capper, Skystar, and Celaeno about how he trusts them for sticking by his and the girls' side against the Storm King.

While the six major dark spirits escape their prison one other lesser spirit named Reaper escapes unnoticed. After his siblings were sealed away in the "Crystal Book" Tales he began his rise to power by heading to the badlands to build an army. Celestia and Luna take it upon themselves to hunt down and seal Reaper away as Twilight is unable to use her power and the Elements of Harmony to take on this task. Celestia and Luna meet new friends, from Equestria to the Badlands, as well as old allies as they track down Reaper.

But when Buddha's seal spell went wrong, it banished Wukong to the magical land of Equestria instead. After the defeat of storm king, everyone is celebrating, not knowing a new danger is emerging. Now Wukong, with no power at all, must team up with mane six and their new friends to find the new element of harmony to save Equestria... From a new and more powerful threat...
