Celestia and Luna have been the subject of mystery and controversy for as long as there has been history. Now, with the realization that they are much more than what they seem, and the re-emergence of an ancient enemy. all who call Equestria home will have their, might, love, will, and strength tested by enemies of a shrouded past.

I should be brave. I know I should be brave. I've seen it more times than most ponies will ever know. But seeing it on my own for the first time only showed me how unprepared I was. It's so different this way. So frightening. And there's nopony to tell me what to do, how to feel. I don't trust my mind to guide me, betray me. It wanders to horrible places.

I peered into oblivion yesterday.

And I blinked.

I have the rest of my life to fix this. It starts today.

A stream-of-consciousness narrative. This narrative mode is very different from conventional 1st and 3rd person narrative modes and may appear oddly written or be difficult to read. I have posted an explanation of this story and the personal struggles that led to its creation here.

Sunset Shimmer was a model student when it came to academic achievements. She aced every test, topped every chart, and became the personal student of the Sun Goddess.

Even after becoming friends with the most inspiring people around and changing her life for the better, Sunset can’t help but criticize her time in Equestria.

Starlight succeeded in her plan for revenge against Twilight Sparkle. She prevented the pivotal sonic rainboom from ever happening, effectively destroying the timeline that lead Twilight on the path to befriending the rest of the Six. Which also kills the three of them. Because Starlight is an idiot blinded by a quest for vengeance. But before Twilight fades away, she tells a slightly younger Princess Celestia and Sunset Shimmer several things they will need to know to have any hopes of keeping Equestria safe from the many countless terrors that await it in the near future.

The story of Celestia and Sunset picking up the pieces of a mirror yet to shatter. Destinies will change. Fates will intertwine. Hearts will break. And forbidden knowledge will eventually come back to bite the Princess in the... Plot adaptation prequel of the original series.

Twilight Sparkle is trying to fit in at school, but she's mostly shy due to something her parents would never tell her. All she knows is that her parents and big brother Shining Armor want her to live a calm life. Boy was Twilight in for a surprise.
