The Dazzlings have a falling out after losing the Battle of the Bands, resulting in Aria leaving the group to start her own. Alone and unable to sing, she begins to get depressed, until a young boy named Tangent Whisper offers to teach her to sing again. Meanwhile Adagio and Sonata are unaware that Aria is regaining her voice, and are trying to find their own way to become powerful again. A mysterious rock musician notices they're holding auditions for a new third member, and instead uses the opportunity to offer the Dazzlings new pendants, in exchange for their help to obtain an object of interest to the musician. Things take a turn for the weird, and only time will tell if Aria will ever sing again, reconnect with her sisters, and maybe even learn what it means to have friendship.

After their defeat at the hands of the Rainbooms, the Sirens wanted to make a break for it, leave Canterlot, and regroup someplace else.

But with the authorities now onto them, that isn't an option.

Faced with being sent to juvy or worse, an orphanage, the Sirens are given an alternative they don't particularly like:

Being "rehabilitated" by their enemies.

At Principal Celestia's suggestion, the Sirens are separated from one another, and each is sentenced to live with one of the Rainbooms. Adagio is sent to live with Sunset Shimmer. Sonata is sent to live with Pinkie Pie.

Aria is sent to live with Fluttershy. One of these girls is in for a whole lot of trouble.

(A "dueling stories" fic exchange with Mirai-chan, inspired by Andrea Libman and Diana Kaarina playing twin sisters on Strawberry Shortcake's Berry Bitty Adventures.)

Rated teen for language, innuendo, and hygiene topics.

Firewatch is known for taking players on a journey and kicking them in the gut when done. I decided to take Firewatch apart and make sense of its controversial ending because I think Firewatch has one of the most powerful endings in modern games. It's almost too real to handle.

Aria Blaze is history's most prolific composer. Writing music constantly for upwards of a thousand years will earn you that title. Now, after a defeat which robbed the three sirens of a magic they've known their entire lives, she relies more than ever on her passion to carry her through an uncertain time. Whatever form fate thrusts upon her, she will never stop making music, and that's all that matters...or it would be, if she could get one roommate to stop pestering her, and the other to stop a downward spiral of self-destruction.

"Adagio say's that we should never, ever, ever, hurt each other, but Adagio doesn't seem to know anything. She doesn't know about the scars on my chest. She doesn't know what Aria and I get up to in the attic these days.

She might know, but is afraid to tell. I think it happened to Adagio too."

This story is a sequel to Sonata's Stare Affair

Adagio Dazzles demands Aria to get a job and one that pays. She applies for a job that gives her some praise. The job is for a bunny, and she will only work short workdays. Best of all, there is a pay raise on days such as her birthdays. But the interview downtown might lead to the last of her days. Can Aria Blaze survive this sudden craze, or will her fate have her set ablaze?

Like "Sonata's Stare Affair," a tale long ago a time, this story also does rhyme. Reading the prequel you don't need, but to further your interest it might feed.
