Today's discussion is about a very old cliche. It is so ubiquitous that I'm many of you have encountered it in multiple places before. Just because it is commonplace, however, doesn't mean that we can't examine it and try to do better.
I've never really looked at my own body of work and tried to suss out a general theme. As far as I know, I don't really have an identity as far as what I write, at best having one for how I write. I don't know that you could sum my work on Fimfiction up in one sentence, the way you could say that Majin Syeekoh writes irreverent comedy with intermittent navel-gazing, or that Carapace and friends write fluffy romances about the contrast between sour and sweet. I have a new story that stands no chance of being on the front page, because I unpublished it for two days when the contest was extended. That saddens me. It's very personal and I want you to read it.
Only one author on Fimfiction will know just how personal. Let's just say I didn't have to make much up.
It has been a long time since I managed to get multiple review sets done in advance, and yet, here I find myself with two Read It Later review sets that I got done before I had posted either of them.
The last set’s epilogue ended with me noting I should read stories off my high priority bookshelf… so naturally, I immediately disregarded that advice and just read some stories on a whim.

I want to make one thing clear: this blog has been dramatized for ease of reading, and some scenes are shown in non-chronological order so that it all flows better. Everything written here is real, though. The dialogue is mostly literal to the best of my ability and memory. This all happened.
