Hello readers! As society breaks down outside your door, I’ve got good news! The kind that’s good enough for you to put down that bat you’ve been hammering nails int, and maybe even make you reconsider putting on those post-apocalyptic leathers for another day or so.
On the next Nightmare Night chapter, as motivation to write has been lacking of late due to a variety of reasons, both professional and personal. Nevertheless, it's coming along bit by bit. To this point, I've finished about 2500 words and close to two sections of it, but the primary two sections regarding the battle between Night Owl and Shadowdash remains to be written.
So just who IS the top Wonderbolt recruit? Well that's a bit trickier to answer then you'd think.
I've been pretty quiet recently. I know I promised that I would make a sequel to Void Trials and I'm still doing that.
But life had intervened, I recently have an apprenticeship (last year I had 24 hours to myself every day), which I had to get used to and the first weeks have been really squashing my ability to write afterwards.
On the positive, I AM getting used to it now, but I further delayed writing Void Trials as a side project pulled me away for a while.
Hello, Obsi here. I hope you all enjoy Void Trials. You better do, because today I will indulge in one of my greatest pleasures: Talking about my story instead of actually working on it!
Specifically, I will highlight a number of ideas, characters and backgrounds that I either discarded, changed or will certainly not find the space to include.
Hey readers! Who’s ready for some good news?
I know, it seems like that’s been in short supply this last month, but I’ve worked my hardest to try and bring you all some good stuff even when there was bad that had to come as well. But today it’s all good news. You ready?
EDIT: Since I'm going to be on vacation, you'll need to check my official site for the scheduled updates. Fimfic doesn't allow scheduling, and I really don't want to have to set myself reminders to drop stuff here while I'm gone.
Hey readers! It’s time for an update! So let’s start with the biggest thing on everyone’s mines: Covid-19, AKA the Coronavirus.
Below are two fanfic reviews based purely on the initial impressions provided by the first chapter (or first 3k words.) For an outline of what my reviewing guidelines are, go here. Please do not request reviews!
Before I get into the reviews proper, I just want to note: The way I’m doing these is not random--I’m clicking on the last page of my to-read list, and reviewing the stories on the bottom of each page...
It seems I have friends in high places, because StraightToThePointStudio (also on Fimfiction) was requested to do a reading of the first chapter of DayBreak, "Hurricane!"
I was experimenting a lot with FL Studio back in 2009. In May of that year, I came up with a happy-ish tune that fit into my mold of the [Trials] series - that being a series of music that took more effort than other ones, and thus were usually better. Well, I came across that old tune again, put it through a new genre, and came up with a really satisfying beat.
Well, it’s time I finally got down to reviewing this series. It’s got spaceships, battles, and - most importantly - robots! Let’s take a look at this tale set a few centuries into Equestria’s future: “Void Trials” and “Void Trials 2: Horizon” by Obsi!
PLEASE TELL ME IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAS ALREADY READ THE HIDDEN ORACLE
spoilers ahead
Today, a little scribble. The prologue of Tempest Shadow's multi-chapter fic is well under-way and will be finished soon. It only needs some editing anymore. But today, just a little scribble:
I’ve been remiss in doing reviews (and reading ponyfics, for that matter), and I figured I’d change that today. I actually have two sets of these ready – both this, and a Read It Later set that I’ll be posting tomorrow. Hopefully, all of this reading will encourage me to get some more writing done of my own.

I always feel as though I waste far too much of my time on frivolous things – primarily, watching the news. I think, this weekend, I will try to avoid the news – try to avoid stupid, frivolous, wasteful things, and actually try and do things that make me feel good in the long term, instead of fritter away my time.
We’ll see if I can succeed.
