Descriptive prose can take many forms:
She was a hot glass of milk drank by a lactose-intolerant pony just before bed. A hot oven whose door you dared not open.

In the past, I’ve advocated learning from cinema, trying to use and translate the same techniques into prose. I use terms like “blocking” and “off-screen” to refer to things in prose.
Today, however, I’d like to discuss one of the major differences between visual media and prose. It also happens to be one of prose fiction's greatest weaknesses: scenes and stories with a large number of characters.

Parodypasta: Ghost Monopoly
A short story by Emma Lee Downs.
Summary: Just a quick parody I made of the game creepypastas on the internet which always made me laugh anyway. I hope you enjoy it.

Parodypasta: The Scariest Story of All time
A short story by Emma Lee Downs.
Summary: I've been listening to a lot of creepypastas lately and thought I would write a parody since there aren't a lot of those out there. I hope you enjoy it.

Well I know what Chryssie's wedding dress will look like now. Whoever knew she could be that adorable?
Alright! So far the story reception has been amazing, and I would like to thank you all once again for your favorites, thumbs up, and watching. I do appreciate it very much.
That being said, you'd better keep watching! Because a lot of your favorite stories on my profile are about to get a lot bigger. More chapters are being planned for "Along with the Snow" and it will not be a small addition by any means.
Parodypasta: The League of Creepypasta Supervillains
A short story by Emma Lee Downs.
Summary: In every major city in the world there is an old abandoned warehouse that is home to the local League of Creepypasta Supervillains. Join the story's antiheroes as they attend the annual League evaluation and comedy ensues.
Oops, I am a day or two late, but here I am now! Better late than never, I suppose. I'm here to announce the closing of the first friggin' Lunbra contest! There a four entries that need to be judged, and a folder that is now locked. (If you have a late/inspired by the contest entry, just toss it in the main folder of the group)
Original Story: To Catch A Falling Star
By Emma Lee Downs (LyraAlluse)
Once long ago on the world Tamerine there lived a young girl. The girl dreamed of going on grand adventures to find a star to hold in the palm of her hand. She would often speak of this to the other children of her village but they would only laugh at her words.

Read My Fantasy Stories Please
I would really love some feedback on some fantasy stories that I've written in my journals so if you happen to have some time, please give them a read.
They are all relatively short, nothing complicated. So reading them should be a breeze.
Here are the ones I have posted so far.

You take a deep breath. You can feel the weight of the cave walls closing in on you, almost fighting to stop your breath. Darkness lies ahead, pierced by the light of your lantern and the flash of the blade you were given by the wood cutter. Yet, you have this task, and before you find someone else it might already be too late. You press on against the shadows.
On Thursday night, at about 6pm, my internet died. Around 10pm, it came back to life.
Fortunately, I downloaded a number of pony stories from FIMFiction, so not all was lost. Still, being without the Internet is a terrible fate, and leaves me feeling diminished, as if I have been cut off from a part of myself.
My friend has an apartment
A trade
A conventional relationship
With a good girl to settle down with
She's lovely, really
And when we talk he gives me that smile
That smile
That laugh
That says he's grown up
And he's waiting for me to catch up
And it hurts because I have nothing he has.
But then I think
He's the same as he was in highschool
He'd finished growing then
So he thought
His highschool sweetheart
His highschool job
His highschool ambitions
