Well this one's 70k and still far from complete...
Accurate portrayal of the author after spotting a typo in a published chapter that was somehow missed.
...and I don't know why. But the one last night was the strangest. Perhaps it's the stress (things have been very uncertain as of late, which is why I haven't been writing as much as I would like). Perhaps it's what I've been eating. Could exercise cause weird dreams?
Well, I just had the weirdest dream ever last night, and it didn't involve Goro from Mortal Kombat eating my pet hamster.
Well, what would you do?
This one took a lot out of me, I kept going back and changing bits, altering segments and checking for continuity among other things.
I could agonise about it for much longer, but I decided that the only way forward is to post it. Let me know if I missed anything and, as always, constructive criticism is welcome.

One day Aplejek, one of teh most famus dirt ponies in all of teh wurld, wuz workin on teh farm becuz despite savin teh wurld 20 millonz of timz she was still a poor aple pesent wit no moniez. The following are random bits of headcanon I have about various characters in "Equestria Girls."
There are few feelings quite so nice as that of success. And success is what I have, pulling off just over 62,000 words in January. It reminds me of why I like deadlines and pressure. When I see a due date coming and take a look at what's really needed to meet my goals, I tend to go into worker bee mode, and that's exactly what happened in the last three weeks. A busy day today for people I follow – four new stories in my feed, from three different authors, including the long-absent Darf, who is oft spoken of in hushed tones, for fear that he might return if you said his name in front of a mirror three times.

This episode features a return to the dragon lands; though its popped up occasionally in episodes like Shadow Play, this is the first time its truly been a vital backdrop since Gauntlet of Fire, 3 seasons prior. Neither that episode nor Dragon Quest are well-regarded by fans, but I actually quite like them both (in particular, I've never really understood the hate Dragon Quest sometimes receives; it's no Spike at Your Service, let alone a Princess Spike). If my month so far is an example of the year to come, then 2018 is going to be great.
Admittedly, it started off rather poorly. I wrote less than 2,300 words for the entirety of the first week of January. It looked like my little pledge to myself to hit 1,500 words/day for the month was a pipe dream.
I’m not a huge fan of sweet or sappy stories.
Somehow, today, I stumbled into five of them.
I really need to watch my step, or else I’ll end up looking like the crusaders after one of their misadventures.

Okay, so when I said I'd update this whenever I felt like it, I didn't actually intend to wait quite this long before writing the next chapter.

This episode almost made me spill my drink on the screen. The reveal that Garble is Smolder's brother came quick, efficiently and merciless. Even after missing the first few minutes of the episode, and therefore all that talk about how Smolder's brother is a softie like Spike, this plot twist still blew my mind.
