In a world torn by conspiracy, hate and a grand conflict with an old, mysterious enemy that once was thought to have fallen, Rarity and Pinkie, in their own separate paths, will come to find that the world they live in was not as it all seemed.
Twenty years into the future, the Elements of Harmony have grown apart in their bid to attain their dreams. But when Princess Celestia has one more task for them, the Mane Six band together for one last adventure.
An aging Rarity makes a deal with Nightmare Moon to once again let her transform her into Nightmarity. Menawhile, Spike has to contend with a mare with two brains.
A few generations hence, Spike is visited by his great-grandson, Uvarovite, and his fiancee, Dusty, and tells the story of how he won his wings and the heart of Uvarovite's great-grandmother, Rarity.
When an older Spike comes back home from his unknown destination, Ponyville is desolate, and he wants to change that, without changing how Rarity sees him.
Rarity is stressed. Defeated! Orders and deadlines and overwork just the norm. Because of this, Spike goes without his apron, flexing his shredded body all in the hope to make her feel better. Because that's how things work, right?
Spike the dragon, now an anatomical forensics expert, comes back to visit Ponyville, and discovers Rarity is in need of help with a troublesome client. The gentle dragon-shaped pony is only too pleased to assist.
