It had finally happened.

Of course it had. Naturally. They’d been heading towards the big tipping point for months.

She was only surprised it had taken months.

She waited for Rarity’s face to bloom into softness, the way it always did when Rainbow made some big romantic gesture like this. Rarity’s face stayed impassive. But she smiled. It was a smile that was reserved and slightly tired—barely genuine. The warmth in it was quiet, self-contained.

And that’s when Rainbow’s entire world came crashing down.

She did not need her any longer.

The first story in the What Could Go Wrong? series

Rainbow Dash was the Iron Wing. She was a war hero, the Slayer of Shadows, the Liberator of the Crystal Empire, the Wrath of Celestia. And depending on who you ask, she still is.

But the war is over. There's little need for a pony like her in peacetime. So she keeps telling herself that she needs to adjust, that she needs to find a new role to fill in the world that she saved. But Equestria seems content to let her remain what she has become, even though they have no need of a warrior.

"This isn't how it's supposed to be", is something she keeps telling herself. But every time she says it, the only thing she can reply is, "so what should it be?"

One whole year after the close of the war, and Rainbow Dash still doesn't have the answer.

Sequel to Missing Her
Vinyl's heart was left broken after she learned about the death of her closest friend. So many harsh words were said, and so many unthinkable things were done, and that was the last time Vinyl ever saw Lyra again.

-Vinyl tries to deal with the death of her best friend with the use of drugs, and also tries to fix things that were left without closure with Octavia.
-Octavia puts herself in denial about Lyra, and her heart is shattered from the words that Lyra spoke last to her.
-Bon Bon's heart is in the wrong place, and now that it is too late she realizes the pain she put Lyra through, and she blames herself for her death.
-Colgate remembers all the memories from her childhood with Lyra, and her mind and soul are left in a nostalgic state.
-Rose tries to move on with her life; using forgetfulness as a way to mourn. While Daisy continues to act normally, Lily has locked herself away, never wanting to see the light of day again.
-Berry Punch sees Bon Bon in her time of need, but doesn't know how to comfort her, fearing that Bon Bon is having second thoughts about her choices in the past.

Once again this is a sequel, so for you to understand what is happening I recommend reading my story Missing Her first!

Lyra's feelings for Bon Bon never changed, even after their break up. Bon Bon has moved on, but Lyra's heart still aches longingly for her. However when they find out that Scootaloo's condition is more complicated than they knew about before and Rainbow Dash receives a letter from an old "friend", things start to get hectic.

At the same time, a looming threat still remains on the horizon, one that can offer you your deepest desires, for a price.

Scootaloo is upset, and Rainbow Dash is determined to cheer her up. But the usual methods don't appear to be working. Perhaps the answer lies... in the sky.

A story about the power of hope, and imagination.

For as long as she can remember, Scootaloo has lived in orphanages, not knowing the identities of her parents. She's happy enough in Ponyville, but deep down she still wishes she had a real mom and dad. So when she's given an assignment to write about her family, she starts looking for answers.

What she finds will shock her.
