During an evening performance at a private manor, Octavia is shown one of the rarest and finest instruments known to Equestria, a Stellar Variance cello. Just being in the same room as one is a dream come true for Octavia, but then she is given the chance to play it. It is an opportunity Octavia can't pass up, no matter the consequences.

Yet, the next morning Vinyl finds herself at the same private estate, searching for the friend and roommate who never came back.

Hearth's Warming is a time for friends and family to come together, celebrate harmony, and welcome the new year. Nyx is looking forward to just this as she rides the train to Canterlot with Spike and Twilight. She's going to meet her extended family for the first time and wants nothing more than to make a good impression. Yet, the sheen of the holidays can't hide the trouble caused by meddling grandparents, relentless reporters, and a paranoid uncle.

On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

No marriage is without its challenges, especially not that of Spike and Rarity. Despite the fairy tale-like circumstances surrounding their courtship (Beauty and the Beast is a popular reference made at dinner parties), their relationship is far from perfect: indeed, the combination of her overwhelmingly large dress orders and his frequent extended trips across Equestria as Celestia's personal envoy makes it seem as though neither one of them has any time for their significant other. Yet there is one key factor, one constant variable in their lives that will always be there to remind them of how much they love and care for one another, no matter what issues they face.

This story is a sequel to Vinyl's Curtain Call

Originally it wasn't mean to have a sequel, but after much thought and consideration, I finally decided to make one. If you don't understand what's going on, go check out the prequel to this.

Octavia, a cellist more interested in high society and class than friendship, and Vinyl Scratch, a socially handicapped pony with anxiety issues, must have seriously pissed some gods off in their past lives. They exist to have lives of bipolarity, living through a constant series of ups and downs. They keep each other going. That is, until the forces that be take it a little too far. Would either of them ever be able to cope without the other? They say having loved and lost is better than never having loved at all, but is that really true?

Narrated omnisciently, but with a focus on Vinyl Scratch, as she is who the story is technically about. Both characters have equal screen time, I'd say.

Now in her late forties, Sunset Shimmer has built herself a career as a doctor. She has devoted her life to helping others, be it by prescribing pain killers or simply bandaging a scraped knee. A part of her longs to return to Equestria, but she is mostly happy with her new life. However, one day three very familiar girls drop by her office, one of them injured. Old memories flood back as Sunset is shown an unexpected harsh reality related to her high school life.

Applejack is a simple woman. She has no real ambitions in life or any visions of an outstanding future. Until that one fateful day at a diner, Applejack was fine with this. But as uncertainty creeps into her thoughts for the first time, she begins to question her life choices. Fortunately, a conversation with a particular rainbow-haired stranger might be all it takes to settle Applejack's mind.

Memories are one thing, goals are another. When you loose something, it makes you want to give up hope, but you should never let your past guide you away from what you can prove. Sometimes memories can push you harder, and sometimes they only make it worse. After Scootaloo looses somepony, she tries out for the Wonderbolts. Does she make it? Does she fail? All she wants to do is make her big sister proud.
