Twilight Sparkle has ruled Equestria for over a thousand years. From her throne atop the floating city of Concord, she enforces ruthless harmony over the handful of surviving settlements. But Twilight is afraid: Equestria's survival always hangs by a thread, as enemies more ancient than the Alicorns threaten to return and devour what she has built.

Twilight selects her star pupil, a young unicorn named Star Orchid, to travel down from the perfect city of Concord into the dangerous ruins beneath, so that she might locate these forces, and help Twilight to destroy them. Only when every threat to Equestria is finally dismantled will she be able to rest. Until then, there is much left to purify.

This story takes place in the same universe as Why We Dig. I'm not going to call it a sequel, since none of its characters will be aware of anything in that story, so you won't have to be either.

Long ago, before the fall of Princess Luna, before the rule of Discord, there existed another race of pony; The lamia, or snake ponies, feared by all of pony kind as mighty hunters and predators. When the Two Sisters rose to power, no longer able to stand by and watch as the lamia preyed on their subjects, they decided to put an end to the lamia’s reign of terror. Leading their army straight into the capital of the lamia they slew their leader, along with any lamia they encountered along the way.

Using a shapeshifting ability gifted to them by an ancient relic, the scattered remnants of the lamia managed to stay hidden for over a millennium. In the rare case that one of their kin was discovered, they were hunted down and persecuted without so much as a trial. Adapting to the lifestyle of the ponies, the lamia live in constant fear of one day having their true identity discovered.

Tired of living in constant fear, of hiding from her neighbors, and not caring about the consequences of being caught, one lamia decides to leave home and move to a friendly little town in the center of Equestria. Little does she know that something as small as moving to another town could set off a chain of events that will change relations between the lamia and the ponies forever...

The prologue contains some dark themes, as well as a bit of gore, however, that is the only chapter that contains them.

Days after the Canterlot invasion, three Changelings are captured and taken to a classified location for interogation. The only problem is that two of them are very skeptical of the third changeling. Nopony knows why. Not until it's too late.

This tale follows one of the changelings who by luck is out of his cell by the time everything takes a horrifying turn. As time and information is gathered, it soon grows more and more apparent that he must escape whatever the cost.

The changeling hive of Twilight and Rainbow have settled in the Everfree Forest and they have had many adventures. But what happens at home? What's it like to live in Phoenix Roost? What's it like to be a Thestral from the long dead Moonlit Empire living in the modern day? A Tea'la from the nightmarish Chaos Lands? A pony among a sea of purple and blue shape shifters? Or even a Sphinx from distant lands with strange customs? Let's find out.

Side story to the Hive series by Law Abiding Pony. If you're not familiar with it how'd you find this? Go check it out, it's pretty good if I do say so myself. Course I do edit for it... Also very little would make sense if you jump in with just this story.

The hive is in celebration. The invasion goes well, and soon all Equestria will surely fall. The victorious changeling soldiers will be covered in wealth and glory, and poor young Thorax fears the war will end before he can enlist.

It does not.

A hundred years have passed since Celestia and Luna ruled Equestria. In a quiet moment, Empress Cadence reflects upon the changes that have happened since and the changes that are about to happen.

And she is by no means the only one to do so. Her future husband will also have to face his past before they can both face what lies ahead.

Twilight has been chosen as this year's addition to queen Nightmare Moon's mysterious cadre of personal students. She gets to live in a castle, receive lessons from their sovereign, yet her parents remain sad for some reason.

Twilight doesn't understand why they aren't happy for her.
