Upon returning to the Wonderbolts barracks after cleaning up her mess, Rainbow Dash finds herself confronted by a rather nervous looking Soarin. After considering her options, she decides a playful bit of revenge is in order. All the while the stallion is forced to face something that is far from new to him, not that the fact doesn't make him feel like the newbie.

Even though Dash was soon accepted by the Wonderbolts after her disastrous first performance, Soarin is still unsure about how to approach her, and the situation at hoof.

He knows what he did was wrong... but he doesn't know if Dash knows he's completely sorry...

It's been a year since the Crystal War has ended and Dash is bored. and Soarin has been acting strange lately, been visiting remaining members of his family, talking to friends and basically avoiding Rainbow Dash for certain periods of time. Dash is starting to get worried and thinks it's time to do some detective work. However, even Dashes friends have been acting weird, is something wrong with everyone? did Dash do or say something wrong? it's time for a confrontation.

Rainbow Dash is more than excited for being the chosen reserve for the Wonderbolts' performance at the Royal Garden opening, but Rarity brings up an awkward conversation about one of the team's stallion that may change Rainbow's way of seeing him. As she comes face to face with the Wonderbolts once again, she does her best to hide the conflicting thoughts.

Soarin's situation haven't been much different, as he has to deal with the insinuations that Spitfire and Fleetfoot have been making about his friendly relationship with the rainbow maned pegasus.

But everything's fine. They can avoid these strange feelings for as long as they want, right?

Unless a new mystery leads Soarin to confront Rainbow Dash against his will, and the both of them start to notice that they care for each other more than they thought.

Set before, during and after “Rarity Investigates!”, so some moments from this episode will be narrated. I think I don't even need to say that this is a SoarinDash story.

I came up with the title with the help of a friend of mine. She doesn't have a fimfiction account, but I feel like I need to thank her, because I had no idea of what I could use as title before she helped me.

This is my first published story. Constructive criticism is appreciated.

The two fall instantly in love, but Spectrum has other plans. He wants his son to marry Spitfire, a promising Wonderbolt.

How will Spectrum react to Soarin going behind his back and marrying Dash? How will Dash react to her father's death and mother's disappearance?

What will the couple do, when Spectrum threatens to kick them out of the house?

And most importantly, what will Soarin's younger brother, Speedy, do when he comes back from college to find his entire family ripped apart?

After all, if you want happiness, you'll have to sit by a few tears as well.

He never went to visit her. He wanted to forget her... to not break her heart. After all, his life is way better than love... right? You know, loyalty? His crushes friend's element...?
