Spike and Twilight share a very unique situation and relationship, but its nature is a subject they've both found very difficult to broach. When they are unexpectedly summoned to the Seapony kingdom, events provide them a reminder of just how how special is the bond between them.

Twilight has always dreamed of meeting her hero, Starswirl the Bearded. She finally gets her wish fulfilled on a mysterious deserted world. Together they investigate how they got there, where the world's inhabitants went, and why amongst all ponies, they two were brought to this desolate place. To Twilight's consternation, the more they learn, the sadder Starswirl becomes, until finally she is faced with a devastating choice that would have her betray her mentor, her friends, and even her innermost convictions.

Twilight Sparkle discovers the human science of advertising. Being Twilight, she can't help but propose a new ad campaign to Princesses Celestia and Luna promoting the Conversion Bureaus. And being Twilight, neither can she resist pulling the mane six into this little project, and then taking things a bit too far.
As usual, Princess Celestia takes all of this in stride, knowing she can cope with anything Twilight dreams up. Or can she?

"Uneasy lies the head that wears a crown."  The return of Luna to Equestria is a great joy to Celestia, but she wonders if Luna is ready to resume her place, and how well she will be accepted by Equestrian society.  Also, all is not well in Equestria itself, as ponies including Twilight Sparkle are having strange dreams and magic is beginning to go haywire.  Can the Princesses' newfound happiness survive the stress of the coming clash of universes they both feel is imminent?

Seeing that Princess Luna is feeling unhappy, Celestia suggests she takes a vacation among 'normal ponies of Equestria'. Luna seeks out Twilight Sparkle to be her vacation companion, at which point Pinky Pie drops in and somehow gets the entire Mane Six involved. What they all have yet to realize is how badly the Princess needs their help.

CelestAI promises eternal happiness in her virtual Equestria. To those who have lived in horror, the AI's candy-coloured dreams of harmony offer an end of suffering and a chance for a new life.

There's just one problem: can those who've been to hell ever come back? And can the damage ever be undone?
