The Great and Powerful Trixie receives a visit from her future self. Well, of course she does, being the most talented magician in all of Equestria... However, her future self dies before her eyes, telling Trixie that she has only four days left to live...

The story of why Trixie Lulamoon travels the land of Equestria. This story is written for the flashfic event set up by Noble Cause, with the following prompt:

"Fireworks and the open road. Sun, rain, sleet and hail. Through it all, Trixie travels. It's up to you to figure out why she travels, and the reason she performs. A friend she left behind? Wanting to show up Twilight? Something else? It's down to you."

Sweetie Belle, alone and dejected, comes across The Great and Powerful Trixie, who was ostracized for her prior misdeeds involving the Ursa Minor. Trixie becomes Sweetie Belle's tutor, giving Sweetie (and perhaps herself as well) both the guidance and companionship she needs.

This is a S1 fic. Events take place before 'The Return of Harmony, pt 1'.
Writing for this fic began before Season 2, so events do not match canon storylines.
