During a class trip to Manehattan, a teenage Cheerilee has the most embarrassing experience of her life. Fortunately, fellow student and friend Vinyl Scratch is there to help her through the pain—and in the process, teach her something important about who she is.

Written for Trotcon 2019's Speedfics-R-Us panel, with minor revisions after. The prompt: write a story involving Cheerilee, Vinyl Scratch (a.k.a. DJ P0N-3), and Manehattan.

Princess Luna has returned to Equestria from her millennium of exile, but much has been lost to her: centuries of time, the respect and admiration of a nation, and perhaps worst of all, the beautiful stars in her mane.

Fortunately, she hasn't lost the love of her sister.

Entrant to the first Quills and Sofas Speedwriting competition for the prompt "The Stars are Gone".

Princess Celestia violates Star Swirl's privacy. After asking for his forgiveness, Star Swirl the Bearded reveals to her the true nature of the secret she's uncovered.

Then the wizened mage makes an unusual request: pay his mercy forward to her prodigal students in the distant future.

For those less familiar with the show, the cover image shows Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst, younger mages who are referred to in part of the story.

Most of the time, Pinkie Pie is the happiest, most cheerful of ponies, but she often has a hard time coping with loss.

Today we see just how hard, as Pinkie says goodbye to a special friend.

During the first war with Tirek, Princess Celestia sends her sister Princess Luna a very short letter. Although the letter could easily fit onto a single page, Celestia uses two.

Twilight Sparkle feels like she's been waiting forever.

Alas, some things never change.

Featherweight is arrested for foalnographic pictures, but the case isn't as simple as it looks: they're pictures he took of himself when he was a colt.

Now Twilight Sparkle must decide whether to intervene in the interest of justice.

It's the morning after Cranky and Matilda's wedding. Naturally, Cranky is thrilled with his new bride, but there's something missing he can't quite put his hoof on.
