It's been a while since Twilight stepped foot into Canterlot High, six months in fact. And now that she's back, she's got something that will change Sunset forever.

Life is pretty unpredictable for me, but that alone is the predictable part of it. Pretty early on, I learned that I should expect the unexpected, and enjoy the brief moments of peace when they were there. Such an outlook helped me early on to keep from going crazy with all of the stuff that's happened to us all.

As the years passed though, I found my own source of peace: my closest friends.

My best friends were always there for me, and I for them. We held each other up when we fell below the surface of the sea of life, and offered friendly smiles and listening ears to each other when we needed it most. Even with all the insanity we weathered over the years, we became closer in spite of it...or, perhaps because of it. In a world of hoarding dragons, I may be the only one that cherished a small group of ponies over gold or jewels.

Hey, everyone. OtterMatt here. Just for the record, I’m not coming back to FimFic. Not ever. I’m sorry to say it, but my life has moved on, as it were, and writing just isn’t a part of it anymore. That being said, I love these stories of mine very much. There’s a lot of myself that I put into them, and at least a couple people have told me that these stories meant a lot to them as well. Nyx Can't seem to sleep, although that's probably due to her Aunt Pinkie Pie promising to shoot her out her party cannon in celebration of her Seventeenth birthday. But Nyx wants something else for her birthday, answers to the question of how exactly her mother came to have a dragon hybrid as a brother, how she made friends with a slightly psycotic party animal who has no respect for the laws of physics, a slightly stuck up but extremely generous and beautiful fashion deigner, a brash but loyal and all around daredevil of a Peagasus, A stuborn as a mule but honest to the core apple farmer, and a socially terrified pegasus who's afraid of heights, can befriend any animal, and has a death stare that would shame Celestia. And of course The all important question of how she became an Alicorn. Luckily for her these things all tie together.

A story to answer some of the unanswered questions about Scootaloo's past including, but not limited to:

-Who are her parents?
-Why can't she fly?
-Why is she so obsessed with Rainbow Dash?

I saw the picture that I used for the story's picture and immediately fell in love with this idea and ran with it to create my head canon and eventually this story.

I'm more then open to constructive criticism, especially regarding how to end stories since I can never end them well it seems

Scootaloo has never been the best of fliers, especially when compared to her parents. But then again, neither was her brother, Flash. For most of her life, they've both been unable to meet the expectations their parents- and everypony else- have set for them, but they've always been able to take comfort in knowing they would face their problems together.

Now, however, things have changed. Flash is not only a member of Canterlot's Elite Guard, but he is also engaged to a Princess. He has become everything Scootaloo has only dreamed of, and yet she still can't even fly.

Will their relationship be able to survive? Or will Scootaloo abandon him forever?

Fleetfoot isn't the most recognized Wonderbolt. She isn't the most admired of the bunch. She doesn't even receive the credit for a successful show most of the time. However, none of that matters to her. What matters to her is her team.

And she wouldn't give them up for the world.

Yes, it's my last Scootaloo heavy fic. This is my version of her backstory. This is for those military bronies and pegasisters who are a long way from home protecting their families. Now with a new final, final chapter.
