> Chapter 1: The Dracony Battle

I got this idea from When They Were Young: the Box Queen and the Dracony. It is a cute story with a fun idea, you should read it.



It was a warm morning in Everfree. The gentle wind was coming for the east blowing the smell of cider from Sweet Apple Acres. Caption Nyx stood as she looked over her soldiers thinking “today is a good day for war.” Her soldiers were young ponies from all over Equestria. They stood in lines before her. And Her Lieutenants which were The CMC, Spike and bright Eyes stood behind her. Firefly stood ready for her commands.



Nyx walked down the lines of young soldiers “today we are here to fight a powerful foe. They are called the Draconies. They been around since Celestia’s and Luna’s Filly hood. They fought and defeated them but like all great evil you can never completely destroy it.  They are back and it is our duty to take them down.” Walking back to where she was before “there are six of them. We will divide into six teams and each team took one on. The teams will be lead by one of my Lieutenants and myself. She waved her hoof at her friends behind her.



Scootaloo said “Nyx is sure into this.”



“You have no idea.” Spike said “she was in her room for the last three days writing that speech.”



The guards stepped in and help divide them into groups. As they were about done the Draconies ran past; which were the royal princes and princesses of Equestria in rubber dragon mask over there head as well, as booties that were shaped like a of dragon claws with matching scaly saddle bags. The Draconies ran into a different part of town. The usually calm Celestia skipped and giggled like a school filly.



Nyx yelled “We must hurry. We have to save the ponies from the dreadful Draconies”



This all started two months before. Luna was talking about the games Celestia and her use to play. And she talked about the Dracony games. And it gave Nyx some ideas which she talked to her friends about. They work out the details. They talked the princesses about playing the Draconies. Twilight wasn’t quite sure about it but after she saw the look on Celestia’s face she agree. Celestia did raise the sun and moon for 1000 years. Twilight could play a silly game for a day to make Celestia happy.



The game is simple it is a big water fight in Everfree. The young ponies against the royal ponies.  Of course the Royal ponies have an advantage they could use magic. The CMC made water balloon catapults to put more power in their control. And they call out to every town in Equestria to build an army to fight the evil Dracony force.  And an army they got. Each group had over fifty ponies in them. 



The pony army ran into Everfree and swarmed the streets. Sweetie Belle’s team was the first to find their target. Shining Armor was now in battle. And after an epic battle Shining Armor was defeated. Sweetie belle took the drenched Shining Armor to a cage in the castle courtyard.



While Shining Armor’s battle was going on all the other teams find their targets.  Spike got Twilight, Bright Eyes got Shooting Star, Scootaloo got Cadence, Apple bloom got Luna, and Nyx got Celestia. And they all know the Alicorns wouldn’t go down as easily as Shining Armor; they can fly. Their plain is simple take out the easy ones first. So Sweetie belle’s team join Spike’s to battle Twilight.  After some time Twilight gave up. She had some work to finish anyways. She was taken to her cage.



Shining Armor said as her sister walk up “what you couldn’t handle the battle.”



“Didn’t I last longer than you, Captain of the Guard?” Twilight said with a grin. They heard some guards laughing.



Twilight toweled off herself as Firefly and the other guards stood watch over the evil Draconies.


The Forces the hunt down Twilight is had now joined in Scootaloo forces to take down Cadence.



A little bit later they stopped for lunch. Celestia, Luna, and Shooting Star were dry, but Cadence was wet. Celestia laughed.



Cadance smile as walk over and stepped into a cage. Then she said “let’s see you three stay dry now.”



Shooting star looked at the other two “I know Draconies work alone, but this time let’s work together.”



Luna smile “what do you have in mind.”



All three lean their heads in and talk.



After lunch the three remaining Draconies went to the same location and flew fast patterns to make the catapults useless. Then they use water from sea to dive bomb the ponies.



As night came over Everfree the parents of the now tired army of Nyx. Watch their war wear out  offsprings walked back with the shame of being beaten and defeated by the powerful Draconies.  They turn to face the Dracony herd and sworn that next time they will win. Or die trying. Then they dragged themselves over to their waiting parents.



The Draconies went back to the castle to take off their Dracony outfits. As they reach the Castle they found Twilight’s little Captain asleep on her back. After Twilight put Nyx to bed she joined the other Dracony in the library. The three victories Dracony were laughing and talking about their win.



Twilight said “why didn’t you let them win?”



Celestia Smile and said “because it isn’t the Dracony way. We never won our father or our mother at any Dracony game.” Celestia turn to Luna “Luna, how about we host it next year?”



Luna thought for a bit “Yes, that would be great and I know the perfect place to have it. Trotting Meadow; it has that lake in the middle of it.”



Twilight asked “what is Trotting Meadow?”



“It is Luna’s summer camp. She started it soon after she got turn back to herself.” Celestia said.



Twilight asked “then why haven’t I heard of it? If Luna is running a summer camp then it should be front page news.”



Luna looked sad “the camp hasn’t worked out like I planned; no one came the first two years. Parents didn’t want to send their colt or filly to a camp ran by nightmare moon.”   



“That is silly, I would send Nyx to your camp if you still run it.” Twilight said.



“Thank you Twilight I appreciate those words of kindness.” Luna said with a smile “I wouldn’t be able to run it this year; too much going on.”



“Luna, would you let Pinkie and Rainbow Dash run it if they want to?” Twilight asked.



Luna look surprised “I never thought of asking anyone to run it in my place. Yes, that would be great. Now I don’t have to tell any pony that is it close this year.”



“Then I would ask then first thing tomorrow and get back to you.” 



Celestia got up. “Luna we should get back to Canterlot night court all be a hand full tonight. How about I take the first half and you take the second half.”



“That would be great sister.” Luna got up and left with Celestia.



Shooting Star stood up. “I will be going to bed. Good night.” And he left.



Cadence said “bed sounds great. Good night. Shining are you coming.”



“Yes dear, right behind you. Good night Twilight”



Twilight looked around and turned off the lights and went to bed also.


> Chapter 2

The next morning Nyx woke in her bed; she thought over the events of the previous day. She decided that she needs to make a plan to take down the Draconies next year. Of course if there was going to be a next year that is. She walked down to the dining hall to get some breakfast. As she did so she went over what went wrong. She decided it was because they hid behind buildings and did sneak attacks. They are over a thousand years old, and they had lots of time to work on their skills. She wondered how did she defeated them two years ago as Nightmare moon. She thought “Well, that has to wait until after Breakfast.” Then she walked into the Dining hall.

It was a normal day in the Dining hall. Some guards were eating together in the corner. The kitchen staff was running back and forth between the kitchen and the breakfast bar. Shooting Star when he can make the time he ate with the employees. He said “we are not better than the staff. And eating with them is a sign of that.” And Twilight agreed with that and enjoyed eating with them because she still doesn’t see herself as a princess.



Nyx got a plate of food and went to sit with her mom who was talking with Pinkie and Rainbow Dash.



“I would have to talk with my boss at the weather team but I don’t see why I can’t.” Rainbow said



Pinkie ran away and seconds later she was back “the cakes wish me luck. On this summer camp thing.”



Pinkie saw Nyx “hey, Nyxie do you want to work at a summer camp with us. If your mother is alright with it.”



“Pinkie, I don’t see a problem with her working there.” Twilight said.



“I am going to a summer camp?” Nyx asked.



Twilight smiled “yes, it is Luna’s camp, but this year she can’t run it so I asked Rainbow Dash and Pinkie to do it in her place. Quick lancer and Nurse’s Corner will be going too.”



Nyx got excited. “So I am going to help run Luna’s summer camp. When do we leave?”



“This afternoon, I would like to get a good look at this place before any pony shows up.” Rainbow Dash said.



Nyx smiled “I have to tell all the CMC about this.”



Twilight said “not until you finish eating.”



Nyx ate as fast as she can without choking, and ran out of the Castle.



Nyx ran over to Carousel Boutique. As she opened the door she was announced by the bell over the door. The store was all empty except Rarity who was putting a dress on a manikin.



“Rarity, is Sweetie Belle here?” Nyx was a bit out of breath.



Rarity looked at how Nyx was shaking in excitement “she is upstairs, why don’t you wait here as I get her.”



Rarity walked up the stairs and walked in to the room Sweetie belle was staying in. Sweetie belle was brushing her mane.



“Sweetie Belle, Nyx is downstairs waiting for you.”



“Oh ready, she is” Sweetie Belle put down the brush and ran down stairs.



A moment later Sweetie Belle was at the bottom of the stairs. “Nyx, what is up?”



“Sweetie Belle, this is so cool, I am going to work at a summer camp with Pinkie and Rainbow Dash.”



Rarity was at the bottom of the Stair by now. She sighed “Is that what this is all about?”



Nyx smiled “yes, I get to work at Luna’s summer Camp.”



“Luna owns a Summer Camp? What’s its name?” Sweetie Belle asked.



“Trotting Meadows I think.” Nyx Said.



Rarity opened a magazine and showed a page to Nyx “this Trotting Meadows? The highest rated Summer Camp in all of Equestria.”



“I think so. Sweetie Belle, why don’t you, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo work there with us? I don’t think Pinkie or Rainbow Dash would mind.” Nyx said.


Nyx, you get Apple Bloom and I get Scootaloo.



And they ran out of the Boutique



Nyx found Apple Bloom with her sister. “Apple bloom, I am going to work at Trotting Meadows this summer do you want to do it with me?”



Nyx what is Trotting Meadows?


It is Luna’s summer camp; Luna couldn’t run it this year so Rainbow Dash and Pinkie are running it in her place.



Applejack, could I do that too?


AJ said “I don’t know if you should go to a fancy shmancy Summer Camp.”



Big Mac walks up “if she wants to go let her, we let you go to Manehatten when you were her age.” 



AJ pretested “but that was different.”



“No nothing is different other than this is something that you don’t want her to do.” Big Mac said.



AJ try to find something to say then Granny Smith said “let her go.”



“Fine but if she comes back all stuck-up, I’ll blame you.” AJ stormed off.



Then the fillies ran to Sugar cube Corner to talk with Pinkie about them working there too.



When they got there Rainbow Dash was also there.



Nyx walked up “Rainbow dash, pinkie, can Apple Bloom, Scootaloo and Sweetie belle work at the camp also.”



“I don’t see why not if their parents are fine with it.” Rainbow Dash said.



Sweetie Belle walked in “sorry but Scootaloo can’t do it. Her family is going on a trip around Equestria.”



“Ok fillies, go home and get packed we leave this afternoon.” Rainbow Said as she left the Sweets Shop.



Nurse’s Corners spoke up from where she was sitting “Nyx, you are already packed so why don’t you help the other two get ready.”



With that they ran off.



Back in the Castle Rarity was talking with Twilight.



“Twilight, why didn’t you talk to me about running the camp?”



“Rarity, you have a business to run. I didn’t think you would drop everything to go to run a summer Camp.  And anyways summer Camps are more up Rainbow’s and Pinkie’s lane.”



“Do you know that Nyx invited the CMC to work there too?”



“I would add that to the note I am sending Luna.” Twilight add a P.S. to the note and said “spike could you send this?”



Spike a little upset about not going. he just nodded and send it to Luna. “Done, I will be in my room not going to a fun Summer Camp.”



“Poor Spiky wiky, I will have to make something special for him.”



“Please do Rarity; there is nothing worse than a sulking dragon.”



Then Rarity said “I better help Sweetie Belle pack, talk to you later Twilight“. 



“Bye Rarity”



then Rarity left.



At Sweet Apple Acres Apple Bloom was packing her gear when AJ walked in with some more stuff “I thought you might need these.”  She walked out.



Apple Bloom looked at what AJ brought. A sleeping bag and other camping gear. Some of the gear looked new.  Apple bloom ran after AJ “you know I love you sis.”



AJ ran out of the house.



Granny Smith said “proud fool”



“Granny, I better finish packing.” Apple Bloom said as she walked back to her room.



AJ walked into Everfree Castle as Twilight kissed Nyx good bye. “Nyx, remember to write me, as many times as you can.” Twilight started to cry “remember I love you and I will miss you so much.”



Nyx huged her mom. “I love you too, but I have to go.”



Twilight wiped her eyes “of course you do.”



“Bye mom” Nyx ran out of the door.



“Bye Nyx” Twilight said already felt little lonely.



Twilight turned to see AJ “so you already said goodbye to Apple Bloom.”



“Sort of, Well Apple bloom will see her younger cousin Orange Marmalade at this camp.”



“That is good so she would have someone she knows”



“You can say that.”



As Nyx got to the ring of Transportation all the adult Ponies were hitched to their carts. And each cart was not even half way full.



“Princess Nyx, it is good of you to join us.” Quick lancer teased.



“It took awhile for my mom to say good bye.” Nyx said “it looks like Rarity isn’t done saying goodbye to Sweetie Belle.”



“Sweetie belle, remember your manners and where you come from. Brush your teeth every morning and night, eat healthy don’t eat only sweets, remember to write every day. I would be very mad if I don’t hear how you are doing.” Rarity said



“Rarity, we need to go, so finish your good bye, it isn’t like you will never see her again.” Rainbow said.



Rarity gave Rainbow a dirty look. And then kiss Sweetie Belle on the cheek and said “bye Sweetie Belle.”



Then everypony got into the ring. Unknown to them an Orange Pegasus was hiding behind some boxes. She didn’t want them to know she was there and that she had cried. She didn’t want to be left behind. Then there was a flash and they were gone.



Rarity was walking back when she found Scootaloo. “Hi Scootaloo dear, you just missed Sweetie Belle and the Rest.  I was going to go to Fluttershy’s place care to join me?” which was a lie she was going to go back to her shop and design some clothes, but Scootaloo look like she need to be around other ponies.



Scootaloo nodded wiped her eyes and walk over to Fluttershy’s. When they got there Angel Bunny was sitting on a pillow eating some fresh Vegetables. When he saw them coming he jumped up to get Fluttershy.



“Fluttershy, Are you here?” Rarity called out.



Fluttershy walked out and greeted her guests “Rarity and Scootaloo.” Turning to face Angel Bunny “Angel, I thought you agree to get me if someone came.”


Angel kicked her and jump off.


“It’s not like I mind you being here. But what brings you here Rarity?”



“Fluttershy sweetie, this is just a social call. Sweetie Belle and the rest have left for Summer Camp. And Scootaloo and I felt a bit lonely.”   Rarity said.



Fluttershy was surprised “Sweetie Belle went to summer camp?”



Scootaloo said “not just Sweetie belle but Nyx, Apple Bloom, Rainbow, and Pinkie.” Scootaloo eyes glazed over “And I couldn’t go with them.”



The sweet and gentle Pegasus walked over and hugged Scootaloo tightly. Scootaloo put up a fight for just a little bit but soon gave up and full out cried. 



“Why did my stupid parent have to pick this year to do that stupid trip? And why did my stupid friends have to go to the stupid summer camp without me?” Scootaloo looked up at Fluttershy and asked “why do they have to leave me alone?”



Fluttershy looked at her. “You are not alone. There isn’t one pony in Everfree that doesn’t care for you.”



“There is Diamond Tiara. She doesn’t like me.”



The Yellow pony wiped the last tear from Scootaloo eyes. “I am sure that even Diamond Tiara cares about you.”



Scootaloo felt much better now. “Fluttershy, Don’t tell anyone that I cried.”



“I won’t say a word.”



At that Scootaloo ran off.



“Fluttershy thanks for that, I wouldn’t have been able to help her, but I know you would.” Rarity said



“Rarity, don’t underestimate yourself. She came with you here because she knows you care for her.” The Animal Pony put her wing over Rarity “do you want to talk over some tea.”



Rarity smiled “that would be great dear Fluttershy.”



Then Fluttershy went to get tea.
> Chapter 3: luna's Tour

The sun was high in the sky In Canterlot and the sweet sound a young ponies play was everywhere. The Everfree ponies arrived at Canterlot Castle court yard and have left their carts in the watchful eyes of the Royal guards. And they were lead to Luna’s study. The Royal Guard at the door knocked on the Study doors. Then they heard “come in” from the other side of the door. The guard opened the door to find Luna on a cushion with her reading glasses on looking through some folders.



“Hello my friends have a seat.” Luna levitated Cushions over for the other ponies. After they all sat down “I have some papers for you to look over.” Luna levitated folders to the adult ponies. “Would you read these over as I talk to my young friends over there?” Luna pointed at Nyx, Sweetie Bell and Apple Bloom.



They all nodded and went to work.



“Ok fillies, I would like you to take care of our youngest ponies.  This is their first year at camp and they will be scared.”  Luna said “they will miss their families. Will I be able to trust you to handle this?” The way Luna talked to them isn’t the way she usually talked to them.  She usually talked to them as children, but right then she talked to them in the tone she talked to her guards.



Nyx remembered her time as nightmare moon, and she knew all too well what this means. “Luna, you can count on us.”



Luna smiled the smile of a pony that heard exactly what she wanted to hear. Then she looked at the adult ponies. “Do you have any questions?”



Rainbow said “one of the rules say you shouldn’t bring junk food. But it isn’t summer camp without junk food.”



Luna smiled “that Rule is there to be bent. Parents don’t want to see their young ones eating only junk food at camp. ” Luna gave a evil smile “And I didn’t say you can’t I said you shouldn’t. We allow them to have it, but if they misuse the right we will take it away.”



Rainbow smile “that is good to know.”



Luna looked over at Pinkie which was writing something down in her folder. “Pinkie, you are quiet do you have any questions.”



“Only could I see the full files of every pony that is coming to the camp.” Pinkie said



“Of course, they are in the boxes over there” Luna pointed at some boxes in the corner “but you can look at them at the camp.”



“Okey dokey loki.”


“Nurse’s Corner, I hope you don’t mind being the camp nurse.” Luna said



Nurse’s Corner smiled “no not at all, I am a licensed Nurse after all.”



“Wait if you are a nurse why are you my maid?” Nyx asked



“Because I am a maid and a Nurse. I wanted to know how to heal the wounds of Royal Family while I served them as a maid.”



Luna stood up and said “we should get to the camp. I want to show you around before I have to raise the moon.”



“Alright Princess” Rainbow said.



Then Luna walked over to the Boxes and levitated some of them “could you get the rest of the boxes and follow me.”



The Ponies grabbed a box each and follow Luna to the court yard where their carts waited for them. The ponies put the boxes in the carts and hitched up themselves. Then Luna braced herself and lit her horn. A magic vortex appeared and slowly formed into a portal. Luna waved the ponies through and closed it behind them.



The Camp was in a very scenic wooded part of Equestria.  They stood by a small dock that had some paddle boats tied to it. The lake was crystal clear and looked refreshing.  As they look a little farther down the lake shore they could see a large tree that has a rope swing that looked perfect to swing into the Lake. Nyx saw a fish jumped out of the water which made her smile. Luna started to walked up a stone path into the main part of the camp. As then walked up the path they saw each cabin looked like small castles with four little the towers; one on each corner. When they got to the office they dropped off their carts.  Then Luna started her tour of the camp.



“Here is the art and craft building.” It was a very neat and large room with tables and shelves full of bins. Each bin is labeled. Luna walked on. “Mess hall is there.” It doesn’t look like a mess hall. It looked more like Nyx’s dining Hall back home. The room had large wooden tables with finely made chairs. On one side of the room there was an empty salad bar. And a door that went into a restaurant style kitchen. “Over there is the Hove ball field,” Luna said “And over there is where the canoes are.” She walked on “there are our hiking trails, and there is the basketball court is there. And last here is the volleyball court.” 



Luna turned “now that the tour is done who is up for a swim?”



The ponies were surprised when pinkie said “you guys go ahead, I will go over the files for the Campers.”



“This isn’t like you Pinkie. What is up?” Rainbow asked



Pinkie smiled “I just want to make sure I know who the campers are, so I can make sure they have a super duper fun time.”  And pinkie bounced off.



They started to walk down the path to the lake when they ran into a gray pony with beret on her head and a saddlebag full of food.



“Good day Crème Brulee.”  Luna said “everypony this is the camp's chef Crème Brulee.”



Nyx walked up to her “I have one Question for you. Are you going to make our meals into an art project?”



Crème Brulee smiled “don’t worry little princess, I think food should look good but I want the taste of my food to be what you remember not the looks.”  



“I think we will get along.” Nyx said.



“That is good to hear, but if you excuse me I have dinner to prepare.” And she walked off.



They made their way to the lake and spent the next four hours at the lake. Then Luna went back to Canterlot and the camp ponies went back to the office.



At the office Pinkie got the office in order. All the files are in the filing cadnet. And with the help of another pony she have divided the campers in to cabins and put a pony in charge of each cabin. When Rainbow’s group walked in they find a folder with each of their names on it.



Pinkie saw them come in “hi guys, ok I made up folder for all of us. I gave all the sporty fillies to Rainbow.  Quick lancer you have all the colts. Sunset Punch and I divided the rest among us. Nyx and Sweetie Belle will all take care of the young fillies, and Apple bloom you have the young colts.”



Sunset punch asked “why is there a double smiley face on the file for a Babes Seed?”



“Babes will be coming here?” Apple bloom asked.



“Looks that way” Rainbow said “ok let’s put our gear in our rooms and get settled.”



The camp counselor’s rooms were in the second floor of the office. Nyx, Apple Bloom and Sweetie Belle shared a room. It was large with a balcony that overlooked the camp.



Nyx was on the balcony when the dinner Bell rang. Apple Bloom yelled “race ya to the Mess hall.”



Nyx smiled and open her wings and glide to the Mess Hall. When the other two Fillies got there they said she cheated. She just smiled and got her food which was a rich Irish vegetable stew and bread. It isn’t what you would get at the Castle but it was good hearty food and it was filling.



“Sweetie Belle, I always heard Camp food was bad, but this is pretty good.”



“Yeah, I wonder what type of ponies will be in our cabins.”



Rainbow Dash looked up from her food “I’m sure they wouldn’t be any different than Ponies from Everfree.”



Sunset Punch asked “so you are from Everfree, what have you heard about the royal family there?”



Apple Bloom asked “what do ya mean?”



“I heard that the Royal family there is uncouth and have bad matters.”



Rainbow Dash said “watch yourself you’re talking about my friends there.”



Nyx calm rainbow down “Rainbow she knows nothing, I will tell you about the royal family.”



“How would a little filly know anything about the Royal family?”



Sweetie Belle smiled “because she is Princess Nyx, her mother is Princess Twilight Sparkle.”



Sunset punch get excited. “I have a princess working under me.”



Apple bloom said “no she is working under Rainbow Dash and Pinkie. Luna put them in control of the camp. You are like us under them.”



“But I had been here longer than any of you. This is my third years.”



Crème Brulee walked up “I been here since the first year, and I think it is a good idea for them to lead us. They are the bearers of the Elements of harmony. ”



“You know who they are?” Sweetie Belle asked.



“Yes, and also I know your two sisters are also a Bearers and your mom.”



Sunset Punch said “that doesn’t tell me they have what it takes to run a camp.”



“Ok, Rainbow Dash what do you do for a job?”



“I am the lead pony of the Everfree weather team and I am a wonderbolt.”



“Pinkie, how about you?”



“I work at a bakery and I am a party planner.”



“Even those Fillies have done more to prove themselves. They spearheaded the big event yesterday. There isn’t a single pony here that is less qualified than you to run this camp.”



Nyx asked “you know about us?”



“Of course I know about you. Do you know how many fillies can walk into the throne room of Canterlot castle uninvited? Only you three, and all the happen to you was a lunch invitation by Celestia and Luna.” Crème Brulee smiled.



“I still think I am more qualified than some fillies.” Sunset punch sulked.



Crème Brulee was about to open her mouth when Nurses Corner stopped her “Crème Brulee, it isn’t worth it, let her have this one delusion. It won’t hurt anyone.”



Everypony finished eating and went to bed. They have a busy day tomorrow.
> Chapter 4

The next day started with rainbow giving assignments as they ate breakfast. “The camp doesn’t have many campers but that how Luna likes it. Luna hoof picked the campers. The business today is getting the camp ready for tomorrow.  And last night after you fillies went to bed, we talk over the list of campers and we decided that we needed another stallion here to handle the colts.” A Brown Unicorn stallion with orange eyes walked in. “this is Parry, he is going to be handling the mid age group of Colts, so Apple bloom now you only have five colts under your watch.” Rainbow hand our pieces of paper to each pony. “Here are your list of assignments for the day.”



Nyx looked over her list.  she and thee other two Fillies got assigned to set up the sport equipment and put the canoes by the lake. Then help groom the trails with the adults.  There was nothing too hard on the list.  They could get it all done by noon.



Nyx and her two friends got to the trails around noon; they had problems as they set up the sporting Equipment. First they had to take everything out of the Equipment shed organize it because last year they didn’t care about the ponies that would set up the next year. Then they couldn’t find the ladder to put the nets on the Basketball hoops.  And Nyx being twilight’s daughter have to leave everything in order and Rainbow wouldn’t have it any other way. Unknown to most ponies Rainbow’s pet peeve was when her Equipment was out of place. So the fact the fillies spent the time to organize was big brownie points for them.



Well they had lunch in an open field on a hill overlooking the camp. As they ate Sunset Punch explained about the camp and the activities. When they were finish Sunset punch did another tour this tour was an in-depth Tour telling them the rules and where to find things they need for their jobs.



Then they went back to the office to get their Luna approved camper assignments. Nyx was upset she only got three campers then everypony else got five to six campers. Sweetie belle even got seven. Didn’t Luna trust her?  But there are things that have to get done. So Nyx threw herself into finishing her work, she can talk to Luna about it later.



That night Nyx decided to write a letter to her mom.



Dear Mom,

Things are going well here. Tomorrow is the big day. I am so scared that I wouldn’t be able to do it. And I think Luna doesn’t have faith in me either. She only gave me three Campers when she gave Sweetie Belle seven. Can you believe seven? She could have told me to my face she thinks that I am incompetent. And what hurts the most is I look up to Luna as a kind big sister. I wish you could give me a hug right now and tell me it will be alright.

Nyx folded up the letter then she saw tear drops falling on to the desk. She wiped her eyes, and sent the letter with her magic. She felt a hoof tapped her shoulder and she saw Sweetie belle with a letter in her magic.  Sweetie Belle put the letter on Nyx’s desk and asked “could you send mine also?” then Nyx saw that Sweetie had cried.



“Sweetie Belle what’s wrong?



“I just miss home, my parents, and Rarity.”



Apple Bloom then said “I miss my family too. I never imagine how much I would miss Big Mac. He didn’t say much but he was always there when you need him. And I think Applejack is mad at me for doing this. She was so mad she didn’t even said goodbye to me. ” A tear rolled down her cheek. “look I am such a big crybaby.”



Sweetie Belle ran over to her. “We all are big cry babies right Nyx.”



Nyx smile and went over to her friends “yes, we are.” And she hugged them.



After some time of telling stories about their families Nyx said. “Apple Bloom, write a letter to your family I will send it to my mom and she would give it to your Family.”



Then a puff of green Magic flouted in and formed into a letter that dropped on Nyx’s desk.



Nyx ran over and open the letter with a big smile. She read the letter.



My Sweet Daughter,

I am so glad you are doing fine. And not curled up in the corner crying. -Nyx Sighed “oh mom I am not that bad any more”. -  As for Luna not having faith in you. I talked it over with Shooting Star and we both agree she trust you a lot. I talked to Luna sometime back and she told me that you are the reason she doesn’t regret becoming Nightmare Moon. She said “if I didn’t because nightmare moon I wouldn’t get to laugh with that silly filly.” She loves you and only said good things about you.

Shooting star thinks there is a reason for you to have only three Campers. She must think that they need their Nyx time. And I agree. You are a special Filly and you should never doubt it.

Oh Spike was so excited when your letter came that he ran into a late night meeting to give me the Letter. Everypony laughed when I told them it was a letter from my daughter at camp. And they insisted that I read it. And they want you to write back as soon as possible about the camp. Some of the ponies here have fillies or colts going there tomorrow and they are nervous about it. So write something nice.

Nyx sat there for a second. Then said “Sweetie Belle, I need you to help me write a Letter to a room of Parents worried about their offspring having fun here. And Apple Bloom write your letter to your family.”



Sweetie Belle came up with ideas of fun things their offspring could do and Nyx wrote them down.



Back in the Boardroom Twilight and the other ponies were trying to work but they their mind was on the Letter that might come. Then Spike belched and a letter forms then another belch and another. After it ended there were three letters that formed.



Twilight looked at them she put down two of them. “Those two are for my friends. Let’s see what Nyx have to write.” She opened the letter.



Dear ponies.

There are so many things your Offspring could do at our camp. But it is up to them if they have fun or not.  My friend and I made a list off the top of our heads of what fun things there are to do here. I hope you enjoy the list.

Nyx

Twilight looked at the list. “Oh my, it is three pages long and each page has three columns. I don’t think I need to read them. Do I?”

“Nyx seems to be doing well. I just hope she isn’t too busy working to play with other Fillies her age.” Galaxy said.



Lighten Hooves said “she is doing this with Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom. I am sure those three will play together.”



“What about Scootaloo? Why isn’t she there?” Rose asked.



“Her Parents are going on a Tour of Equestria with her.” Twilight said.



Lighten Hooves frown “that is harsh, but what can you do.”



“We are in the middle of a meeting here; if we are not going to talk about something more important than a summer camp I am leaving.” Lord uptight said.



“Then leave, I can’t see anything being more important right now than our offspring.” Lighten Hooves said.



Uptight said “so your offspring is more important than all Equestria?” he said as he thought he finally got one over on them.



“It isn’t a matter on which is more important. We see them at the same level of importance. We believe a good parent is a good ruler.” Galaxy said. “And anyways we already talked over what we needed to.”



“So getting back to the Camp, Gem glow, are you sending Bright eyes to the Camp?” Lighten hooves asked.



Gem glow smiled “yes, he is looking forward to it.”



Right then lord Uptight stood up “I quit” stormed out of the room.



Lighten hooves smiled and sung   “na na naa na, na na naa na, hey hey hey goodBye.”



Twilight asked “are you happy, that would be the fifth ambassadors from Canterlot.”



All together they  said  “yes”



Shooting Star said “it is getting late so let’s call it a night. Some of you have a long train ride tomorrow.”



They nodded and left.
> Chapter 5: the Big Day

Pipsqueak ran down the stairs with his saddlebags stuffed full and a bag handle in his mouth. Pip’s dad looked at his son and asked “is that all pip my boy.”



Pip dropped the bag from his mouth and smile “it sure is old bean.”



It was still early in Everfree and Pip was excited to go to camp. In fact he has been excited since he found out about Luna’s camp. And after he heard Apple Bloom, Nyx and Sweetie Belle would be there. He knew it was going to be a great summer; for all things CMC was no-fun wasn’t one of them. Their excitement was contagious and they seemed to see the world in a different way than other ponies.



Pip ran into the Kitchen where his mum was cooking Breakfast, and jumped up to his seat at the table. Then his mum placed his breakfast in front of him, which was hay sausage, hash brown, eggs, some porridge, Oat Cake, and toast with honey. As his mum always says “a good breakfast is the best way to start a good day”. As he ate he watch his parents; his Father read the newspaper  mumbled about something in the paper, his mum responded half heartedly just to make his feel like she was listening which she wasn’t. This is a fine oiled machine of how his family did breakfast. And he wondered as he watched, and why was he paying attention to it now. It had been this way all his life. 



At another Everfree home the scene was quite different. Diamond Tiara was telling her maid “be careful with the bags I don’t want you to break anything”. She walked into their Dining room to have Breakfast with her parents. As she walked into the room filthy rich put down his newspaper.  “Are you all set Diamond Tiara?”



“Yes Daddy, I can hardly wait. Me and Silver spoon don’t have to deal with any of those  CMC freaks at camp.”



“I am happy you will enjoy yourself.”



Filthy Rich raise the newspaper and drank some coffee. 



In Canterlot in Fancy Pants’ manor Fancy Pants was having Breakfast when a little white Filly with blue mane and tail walked in. “uncle Fancy Pants, I don’t know about this. Why do I have to go to camp?”



Fancy pants smiled and walked over to the filly put his hoof under her chin and raised it so they see eye to eye “my Dear Silken Gloves, you will have a great time at camp. And Luna said she made sure to assign you to her best counselor.”



“If Luna approve of the Counselor then I will, but what about the other campers.”



“They will love you just as I do. Why don’t we have something to eat?” then Fancy pants lend his niece to the table.



In Manehatten in the Orange family apartment Orange Marmalade just finished getting ready. She walked in the dining room to see Babes eating with her family. “I don’t know why babes have to came to camp with me I can do it on my own.”



“Marmalade dear, your cousin Babes is older and her being there would make us feel better about you going.” 



“Marmalade, we’ll gonna have a great time at camp.”



Marmalade turned and walked out of the room.



“Marmalade dear, come back here and eat something.”



“Don’t ya worry about it Aunt Orange, I can get something for her on the train to the camp.”   



“I am sorry we couldn’t go to the camp with you. I have a garden party to go to and Mosely have work.”



“No worries, I got it.”



In the Fairy pony village Rose talked with her daughter lily.



“Lilly the camp sounds like fun and Nyx and her friends will be there. You always wanted to be friends with them and here is your chance.”



“What if I can’t talk with them? I try so many times and didn’t even have the nerve to fly up to them.”



“This time you don’t have to fly up to them. One of them will be your counselor.”



Lily thought for a second “you promise they would be nice to me.”



Rose sighed “How many times do we have to go through this? Fluttershy, Twilight, shooting Star and myself all told you they are good fillies and would treat you well.”



“Ok, I will go.”



Sometime later on the beaches just outside Everfree Big Mac was pulling a wagon full of water and some young Merponies.  Big Mac agreed to pull the wagon. It is true the Lighten hooves could pull it in his place. But then he wouldn’t have got to see Apple Bloom. He has missed his little sister more than he would say.



He pulled the noisy happy Merponies through Everfree to the ring of transportation. When he got there he saw a large group of ponies with parents and their colts and fillies.  Then Big Mac felt some things land on his back he turn his head and look ,It  was Rose and lily. He smile at them and walked into the ring with all the other ponies. Then they got transported to Canterlot.



Then in Canterlot they made their way to the Train Station. Rose and lily stayed on the big red stallion’s back. And Big Mac didn’t mind they were light and the Fairy ponies help around the Sweet Apple Acres.



On the way to the Station Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon walked just in front of Big Mac. “Silver Spoon, I can’t believe how many ponies are coming to this camp from Everfree”



“Yeah, but they are only pip and some rich ponies not that freak Nightmare moon or her friends.”



“Yeah, we get a month away from those freaks.”



Big Mac just smiled.  When they got to the station Big Mac push the wagon into a baggage car and got something to drink in the dining car. While he was there he ran into Babes.  he sat and talk to her as the train started to move.



Back in Everfree AJ was talking with Twilight.


“What was Big Mac thinkin he was doin, I bet he thinkin he is clever. Goin to see Apple bloom behind my back.”



“Talking about Apple Bloom, I heard someone was too proud to say goodbye to her sister?”



AJ looked away “I don’t know what ya talkin about.”



“Apple Jack, I can’t believe you would do that.” Then Twilight levitated a letter out of her desk. “I don’t know if I should give you this.”



“What is that?” AJ said looking at the letter.



“It is a letter from Apple Bloom to her Family. I also have one from Sweetie belle to Rarity.”



AJ took the letter and put it down and stare at it. “I should wait for Big Mac to get back to read it.” She smiled “I will have to talk this over with Granny Smith.” She said knowing full well Granny Smith’s answer. “Bye Twilight.” She grabbed the letter and ran out on the Castle toward home.



Twilight got the other Letter out and start to walk over to Rarity’s place.



Rarity was having tea with Fluttershy in the Kitchen then Twilight walked in. Rarity walked into the front room when she heard the bell over the door ring.



“Twilight Dear, what are you doing here I would think you would be neck deep in meeting by now.”



“I would have but most of the noble Ponies are taking their offspring to camp today.”



Fluttershy walked out “that is nice.”



“So twilight what bring you here today?” Rarity asked.



Twilight smiled and brought out the Letter “this, a letter from Sweetie Belle” then she gave it to Rarity.



Rarity looked at it and put it on a table nearby.  “It would be rude of me to read that now. And anyways I don’t get to talk with you much anymore.” She looked at the Letter again.



Twilight sigh “Rarity, read the letter. We both wouldn’t mind if you read it.”



Fluttershy nodded.



“Ok if you insist.” She opened the Letter and put on her glasses. After read some “oh sweetie belle” a little later “ahh” after she finished the letter and she smiled “Sweetie belle is a bit homesick but doing alright. How is Nyx doing?”



“She is also home sick but she is also nervous. She doesn’t know if she could do the job.”



“That sound like Nyx. She worries about everything. Like someone else we know.”



“Oh dear, Rarity do you think she will be alright?” Fluttershy said.



“She will be fine. She has rainbow and pinkie there if she needs them.” Rarity insures Fluttershy. But deep down she was worried.



Twilight added “Apple bloom and Sweetie Belle will be there also.”



Fluttershy asked “doesn’t all of them have their own campers to worry about.”



She was right and that brought all the worry that was deep down in both Twilight and Rarity they started to the surface.



Twilight said “Nurse's Corner, yes Nurse's Corner is a great maid and Nurse. She will help her.”



Rarity Smiled “yes she will.”



Fluttershy was about to say something when Rarity said “Fluttershy dear, didn’t you say you were going to teach little birds to fly today?”



“Oh yes, thank you Rarity for reminding me. Bye” Fluttershy flew off



Twilight said “Yes thank you Rarity.”



“Anytime dear.” Rarity said with a smile. “I don’t know about you but I need some tea to calm my nerves.”



“That sounds great Rarity.”



Then they walked into the kitchen.



A little later at the camp, the counselor ponies were walking to the train station for the camp. Their job at the station was to greet the camper and their parents, and make sure they know their cabin assignments.



When they got there Nyx put on her glasses to hide her eye. The last thing she wanted is to scare the young ponies.  Then Nyx and Sweetie belle levitated their clipboards from their saddlebag. And Apple Bloom put on her headgear to hold the clipboard.



A minute or so later they heard the train coming. And they took their places. You can’t imagine the surprise then Apple Bloom saw Big Mac walk out of the Train pulling a wagon full of water.



“Big Mac, what are you doin here?”



“The Merponies asked me to bring them here.”



Apple Bloom was delighted to see her brother but she couldn’t show it. She had to be professional. 



But that didn’t stop Pinkie. “Big Mac you brought the Merponies. Thank you. Just go down this road until you come to a lake. Then they will jump in the water. Right guys.” They heard responses from all the Merponies.



“See” Pinkie said just before she bounced off.



Nyx was busy with pointing ponies in the right direction. When she heard “good day princess” she turned to see Fancy pants.



“Good day to you Fancy pants, what could I do for you?”



“You see my niece here is going to be a camper here this year. I would like to know who is her counselor is.” He pointed at a young white unicorn Filly.



Nyx levitated her clipboard over in front of her face. “Tell me her name and I will tell you who her counselor is.”



“Her name Silken Glove.”



Nyx didn’t need to look at her board to know who it was. “Well, you’re in luck I am her counselor.” She said as she smiled.



“When I will leave her to you Princess.”



Silken glove walk up and bow “it is a pleasure to meet you Princess”



“Just call me Nyx.” she looked at Fancy Pants “when will you stop calling me Princess?”



“Well, look at the time; I might not be able to get a good seat in the train. Silken glove be nice to Princess Nyx.”



“Goodbye Uncle Fancy Pants.” They nuzzle and he left.



Nyx put Silken Glove’s bags on her cart. And tell her they we’ll go to the cabin after the other two campers show up.



“Hey Nyx, how are ya,”



Nyx turn to see Babes. “Hello Babes. Do you want to know what Cabin you’re in?”



“Apple Bloom already told me. But here is my young cousin Orange Marmalade.”



Nyx smile “hi Orange Marmalade, it is good to meet you.”



“Who do you think you are?”



“I don’t know who you are but she is Princess Nyx Daughter of Princess Twilight. So I would show her some respect.” A light gray Pegasus with a blond braided mane and tail said



“Good day Skydancer, you are here this year too.”



“Yes I am. This year is going to be awesome; I am going to be in Rainbow’s cabin. I will impress her with my moves and I am so going to be a wonderbolt.”



A group of Pegasus walked up. The leader of the group a dark gray pony with a white mane and tail said “I don’t know who this Rainbow is. Impressing her wouldn’t help you got into the Wonder bolts. But impressing me would, I am Cloud Climber the little sister of Spitfire.”



There is one thing the irritates Nyx more than anything, and that is when ponies talk when they don’t know what they talking about. “Well, Rainbow dash was one the blow Spitfire away in a race. I am sure you read it in the Newspapers.”



Spitfire landed. “That is right Cloud Climber. You forget your safety Blanket. ”She pulled out an old worn Blanket and gave it to Cloud Climber. Cloud climber put it in her bags as quickly as she could.



Then Marmalade started to tease Cloud Climber. “You have a Safely Blanket, what are you five years old.”



Nyx look at Marmalade and said “stop that, I see nothing wrong with a safely Blanket or a night light or anything else that make you feel safe. Leaving home and everything you know is Scary. If a blanket makes her feel safe then all power to her.



Spitfire smile “talking from experience, what was it for you? A teddy bear?”



“No, when I was nightmare moon, it was a life size training dummy of my Mommy. But nothing now”



Spitfire Laughed “that is an image Nightmare Moon lying on her bed hugging a stuffed toy to feel safe.”



Nyx blushed “It wasn’t a Stuffed toy, it was a training dummy.”



“Ok Princess, I have to get back to the train before it leaves.” Then she flew back to the Train.



Babes smiled while acting all proper “princess Nyx of the night court.” then she laughed “I still can’t believe it.”



“Babes, laugh it up. You are going to be in Pinkie’s cabin. Good luck.”



“Apple Bloom said the same thing. Should I be worried?”



“You’ll see.”



Then Nyx heard a voice she didn’t think she would hear until she was back in Everfree.



“Yes, you are right it is that freak nightmare moon.” Silver Spoon said.



“Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon you’re in Pinkie’s cabin” Nyx deadpanned



Then Nyx put Orange Marmalade’s bags in her cart.



“Only one Pony left, her name is Starsong.”



“Are you Nyx? That Pink bouncing Pony said I should find her.” asked a young Pegasus.



“Yes I am Nyx. Are you Starsong?”



“Yes” said the young Pegasus



Nyx put the Starsong’s Bags on the cart and she hitched herself up and was about to pull it into camp Then Pinkie bounced over to Nyx.



“You’ll have one more pony in your care. This is Lily; she wasn’t put on the List. So I will give her to you.” Then she Bounce off.



“Hello Lily, put your bags in the cart and you follow us to the cabin.”



Nyx and Sweetie Belle’s camper share a cabin. It has two floors and Nyx’s campers had the second floor. When they got there Nyx help her Campers with their bags and told them they have free time until Dinner.



Nyx walked back to the Office and sat until her friend came back then they walked the camp. Making sure every pony was doing what they should.



That night all the ponies gathered around the fire pit. Rainbow Dash flew down and said “I want to welcome you to Camp Trotting Meadows. And what is camp without scary stories.”



Some pony yelled “tell us a scary story about Nightmare moon.”



Rainbow look over at Nyx and said “you know what I faced Nightmare moon twice in her adult form, she isn’t that scary.” Rainbow pointed at Nyx. “Nightmare Moon is as scary as that Filly.”



Nyx stood with her wings spread and said “boo”



“We will tell a story about Nightmare Moon but not tonight.”



Then Rainbow Dash did her best telling of the Headless Horse. She got screens and gasps. She was on fire that night.



After all the Campers were in their cabins and asleep. the staff was in the mess hall talking over the day. Then Starsong walked in “Nyx, a lot of the Fillies had bad dreams and are crying.”



Nyx looked at her two Friends and they ran off to the young Filly Cabin. Sunset Punch asked “aren’t we going to help them.”



Pinkie drank some Cocoa and said “no need to.”



Then she looked at Rainbow dash.



Rainbow Dash said “they can handle it. You don’t know what those three can do.”



The three young Counselors got all the fillies calm down. Then Nyx told then “no Headless Horse is going to hurt you while I am here.” Then she showed them her cutie mark. “This cutie mark tells you that my special talent is protecting other ponies. While I am here you can sleep peaceful.”



Her speech made many of the ponies feel safer. But Marmalade said “but you are only a filly like us.”



Apple bloom said “no she isn’t. Do you want to hear a Story about Nyx?” 



Apple Bloom had them sit around her and she started telling the story how Nyx saved Ponyville and earned her Cutie Mark.



Unknown to the ponies in the cabin Sunset Punch and the rest of the staff was listening in on the story.



Luna couldn’t help herself and she came to the camp to see how things were going you can’t imagine her surprise to see her staff standing outside a half open door to a cabin. She walked over to the door to hear the last of the story. How Nyx came back with deep cuts and told Luna and Celestia “I can be bruised, battered and beaten but, as long as there is still breath in my lungs, I will continue to protect ponies. I will protect them because what can kill them, I can survive. Because what hurts them is but a scratch for me… because it’s the one thing I’ve been able to do right.”



Luna Said to Pinkie and Rainbow. “That brings back memories.”



Inside Apple Bloom said “that is why you have nothing to worry about while Nyx is here.”



Marmalade said “there is no way Nyx is nightmare moon and anyways Nightmare Moon is a monster. She wouldn’t save anyone.”



At that Luna walked in “do you think I am a monster?”



Marmalade didn’t know what to say.



“I was the first Nightmare moon, so does that make me a monster?”



Marmalade couldn’t look Luna in the eyes.



“Nyx was once Nightmare Moon just like me, but she was a better Nightmare moon than I was.”



Nyx looked at Luna “what are you doing here?”



Luna looked sheepish “I wanted to check up on things. This is the first year I haven’t been here and I miss it.” Then she look at the clock “it looks like I have to go back.” She looks at Nyx “Nyx how about you take over night court and I stay here.”



“Luna, we both know that wouldn’t work. And I wouldn’t do it even if it would work.” Nyx smile “alright time for bed. Tell Luna good night.”



All the fillies said “goodnight Luna.”



And the young counselors and Luna left the cabin.



When they got out of the cabin Nyx yawned “Luna, it is getting late and I have work tomorrow to do. So I will call it a night.” Then Nyx flicked her tail as she turned and walked back to her room with her head up.



Luna stood there laughing to herself. “I better get back to night court.” Luna opened a portal and walk through.



She was in the throne room. She looked around and decided she was going to get a snack before she resumed Night court. She left the Throne room and walked down the hall. She saw Celestia coming out of her room.



“Celestia, out for a bedtime snack?”



“You can say that.”



“Then I will join you and you’ll tell what just happen.”



Luna told how she went to the camp and all that happen.



“Then she turned and flicked her tail and walk off like a proud little Princess.” 



Celestia laugh at the story “it serves you right, you tried to get her to do your job.”



“Maybe I did or maybe I didn’t deserve it.  The thing is soon she will be a ruler. And I am afraid that because of the whole nightmare moon thing the ponies will fear her.”



“I heard you only give Nyx three Campers. Why was that?”



“It is a test I wanted to give her.”



Celestia raised an eyebrow “is that so.”



“Yes” then Luna Smiled. “Shooting Star told me about a cake called Heavenly Cloud cake.”



Celestia looked scared, “what did he told you about it?”


“He said it was so good that you forbid it from ever being made again.”



Celestia break down into tears “I couldn’t stop eating it, four, five cake and I didn’t stop. I had to forbid it. If I didn’t I wouldn’t fit through doorways.”



Luna was rolling on the ground laughing. The mental image of her sister being stuck in a double wide doorway was too much.



“Luna, stop laughing at my pain.” Celestia walked back to her room.



An evil grin formed on Luna’s face and lit her horn. “Let’s see what happens now.”



Luna walked back to Celestia room to hear muffled crying from inside. Luna pushed the door open to see Celestia crying as she stuffed her face with cake. “You are evil Luna.”



Luna laughed and went to start Night Court.
> chapter 6

For the next week nothing much happened. The counselors divided responsibilities and they were in charge of different activities. Quick lancer was in charge of the basic flying training, while Rainbow Dash was in charge of the middle to advanced flying training. Perry did basic magic training; While Sunset punch did the advance magic training. Sweetie belle did music.  Pinkie handled the sports. Apple Bloom was in charge of the arts and crafts. Nyx did nature hike and story time with Nyx which came out of nowhere.



One day Nyx was looking through the Camp Library and found a copy of Nyx of the night. She hasn’t read the story she was named after in awhile. So she checked it out and went to read it under a tree. Silken Glove had been keeping close to Nyx since she had been afraid that the other camper wouldn’t like her. So Nyx decided to read out loud to her. When she was done reading that day there was a small group of ponies.  And as time went by more ponies came to listen to Nyx read until now it became a daily event that happens after breakfast. Now Nyx was about to start the fourth book in the Boxcar ponies series; Mystery Ranch. She hasn’t read this series before, but when she gets back to Everfree she will order the whole series for the Everfree library , which is a pet project of her mother.



Nyx walked onto the Camp’s stage which is the only place large enough to fit the group of ponies that came to listen to Nyx. She looked around at the ponies in the stands and she sat on the cushion placed there for her. “Chapter 1, the door bangs” she read.  Nyx read for about an hour to the ponies and lulled them into a peaceful state.  Then she came to the end of a chapter she said “that is it for today.” And she marked her place and closed the book. She heard the disappointed sounds of the ponies as they got up and went on their way.



Nyx walked back to her room and put the book in a drawer of her desk. As she did a pony dress in a black body suit snuck in from the balcony.



Nyx said “Rainbow Dash, black body suits only work at night.” Nyx horn glow and so did the Drawer. “And I just put a magic lock on the drawer. Have fun trying to get the book now.” then Nyx left.



The black clad Rainbow Dash snuck to the desk and pull in the drawer as hard as she can. And pull the desk across the room. “That snot did put a magic lock on it; curse you Twilight for teaching her that spell.” Rainbow put the desk back and left the room.



Nyx smile when she heard Rainbow’s comment.  Nyx walked to toward the Arts and Crafts Cabin to help Apple Bloom since she have no hikes planned today. On the way there she ran into Silken Glove practicing some magic. She was trying to levitate three stones of different size and move them independently. It is difficult to do if you’re not use to it.



Nyx walked up and said “do you want some help?”



“Oh no Princess, I can’t take up your time like that. I am sure you have more important things to do.”



“First I am Nyx not Princess, second I am here to help the campers where I can. Third I want to teach one of my uncle Shining’s trick to you.” 



Silken Glove agrees thinking if Prince Shining Armor does it, it would be alright.



Nyx lead her to the lake. Then she levitated the canoes so they could hide behind them. Then she said “Silken Glove form the some water into a ball.” Silken Glove did as Nyx said. And Nyx did the same. Nyx aim at a Merpony and let her ball go and it hit the Merpony on the back on the head and Nyx smile at the Merpony.



The Merpony smile “Nyx, it is so on.”



Then the Merpony kicked water up and hit Silken Glove in the face. And she dropped the water ball. Then more Merponies joined the fight.



Nyx said “you have to throw the water ball at the Merponies.”



“I don’t know if I could do that.”



“You can, levitation isn’t something you practice and it something you use.” And she threw three Water Balls at the Merponies. “This is a great way to use it and have fun.”



“I can’t do that; it would be mean to hit the poor Merponies.”



Nyx yelled “timeout” Nyx look at Silken Gloves “get on my back.”



She ran to the lake then lit her horn and ran out onto the water to where the Merponies were.



“Do you mind if we throw water balls at you.”



Sea foam answered “isn’t that the point of the game.”



“She doesn’t want to hurt your feeling.”



Sea Foam splashed water in Nyx’s face “stop joking around and get back there so we can have this water fight.”



Nyx turned and galloped back behind the canoes. Then they got there they saw three more Unicorns hiding behind the canoes all with water ball at the ready. 



One of the Unicorns spoke “they splashed us when we went Canoeing; it is time for payback.”



Nyx nodded and yelled “time in”



A volley of water balls shoot out from behind the canoe and Silken Glove watch as the other ponies laughed and Threw Water Balls. She wanted to be part of the fun. And levitated some water and formed it into a ball and threw it at sea foam. She missed but she did it. And she tried it again, and again. Until she was part of the fight. Within minutes all the unicorns in the camp was part of the water fight. Minutes after that Pinkie was giving all nun-unicorns water balloons.  The water fight went on until lunch.



At lunch all the little Unicorns could barely move their forks with magic. The older unicorns felt the strain on their magic. And the Merponies’ tails were sore. So after lunch was over everypony went back to what they should be doing.



As Nyx walk out of the mess hall she saw Silken Glove sitting by herself. “Silken Glove, that was quite the workout wasn’t it? Did you have fun?”



She turned to face Nyx. ”yes, I have fun, and that is the problem. My parents would never approve of me acting that way.” 



“Really, why is that?”



“It was improper of us.”



Nyx laughed “Improper? Not even two weeks ago I was having a water fight with the royals of Equestria.”



“my parents say that is because you to tricked Celestia and Luna into it.”



Nyx thought of how excited Celestia was when she got told about the water fight. Nyx laughed to herself, and then she looked to Silken Glove. She came up with an idea. “If it is improper to do in Canterlot then we have to make it proper to do in Canterlot.”



Silken Glove looked blankly at Nyx.



“Just follow me.” They went to the arts and crafts Cabin. Silken Glove waited at the door. Nyx went over and talk with Apple Bloom. Then Nyx got a piece a paper and draw something. Apple bloom looked at it and change it a little bit and Nyx nodded. Then Apple bloom smiled and went to work. Nyx wrote a letter then she sent the letter and the drawing with magic. After that she walked back to Silken Glove.



“Now we need to find Sunset Punch.” Nyx said.



When they found Sunset Punch a letter transported in front of Nyx. And Nyx opened it read it. She laughed "oh luna" then burned one page of it.



Nyx walked up to Sunset punch “Sunset Punch, Celestia approved of me teaching you an Alicorn training  method. It is called “spherical Water training”. You form water into a ball like you would for a water fight, but you throw it at a target that consist of three rings. The farthest out ring is worth 5 points that next one in is 10 point and the middle is worth 20 points. And you have 30 seconds to get as many points as you can.” Nyx winked to Silken Glove. “Apple Bloom is working on the target right now”



“How I do I know you didn’t just make it up to mess with me.”



“I have a letter from Celestia right here tell me that she is starting to use this training at her school for gifted Unicorns.” Then a green puff of magic floated over and a letter formed. Than another Letter transported in front of her; Nyx read both and laughed.



“Sorry about that, Royal business. So here is the Letter from Celestia.” She levitated it over to her.



Sunset Punch read it and gave it back. “Ok I will start teaching it as soon as Apple Bloom is finished.”



Nyx and Silken Glove walked away. As soon as they were far enough away Silken Glove said “how did you do that?”



“You should never underestimate me or my friends.”



Pinkie came over to Nyx “hey Nyxie, you know the camp play is coming soon. And some pony wrote that we should do the Ponyville Elementary School Production of Reunion of the Royal Pony Sisters.”



“I don’t mind if that is what you want to do. I will write my mom and have her get the script and costumes from Cheerilee.”



“Thanks Nyxie.”  Then Pinkie bounced off.



“What is the Ponyville Elementary School Production of Reunion of the Royal Pony Sisters?”



“It was a school play I was in about two years ago. It was part of the Ponyville Spring Festival. We even got to do it in the main stage. It was a lot of fun. You should try out for Celestia.”



“What part did you play?”



“Nightmare moon.”



“I see that with your black coat, but I couldn’t see you as nightmare moon.”



Nyx Smile she takes off her glasses and start pulling in magic. Her mane starts to grow then wave slightly. As time went by her mane and tail became more and more like Nightmare moon.



She looked at her with her dragon eyes and her flowing mane. “How about now?”



“Yes, look like her. How do you do that with your mane?”



Nyx let go of her magic “it is an Alicorn thing.” Her mane went back to how it was.



“So are you going to try out for Nightmare moon?”



“No, but If they can’t find anyone to play that role I would do it.” Nyx look at the clock “Don’t you have music with Sweetie belle right now.”



Silken Glove said “yes I do bye.” And she ran off.



Nyx went to check on Apple bloom. When Nyx walked in she saw Apple bloom telling some unicorn stallion how to work the crystals. Apple bloom learned crystal-smithing from some Crystal ponies.  Apple Bloom looked up and said “Nyx, I got the one for here done. But the one for Canterlot will take some time. These stallions Celestia sent from Canterlot don’t know the difference between Crystal matrix and a Crystal cluster.”



Nyx decided Discretion is the better part of valor. She took the target from Apple bloom and left. She walked down to the lake and set it up on a buoy on the lake. Then she set 30 seconds on the timer and started throwing Water balls. Then the time ran out she looked at her score.



“2250 points not bad.” Nyx hear from behind her. So she turned to see Celestia, Cadence and Luna.



Nyx ask. “What are you doing here?”



“Luna and I came here to pick up our target for the spherical Water training. But I don’t know why Cadance is here.”



Cadance said “Shining would be upset if he is left out of this game you made up.” Cadence smile “so I am here to get a Target for the Guards of course. They have to keep their magic sharp.”



“I see so that how you will work it” Celestia said.



Nyx looked confused “didn’t you come here to get a target for Uncle Shining?”



“I am getting one he could use but isn’t his. Shining would spend hours playing with it and call it training. But if I give it to the guards he can’t play with it all the time.” Cadence sigh “but in time he would want one of his own. And put it in his stallion cave.”



“He has a stallion cave?” Nyx laughed “did he get the idea from Shooting Star?”



Cadance deadpanned “he has one, and he spends most of his time there.” Then she waved her hoof in the air “curse you Shooting Star.”



“Ok then, now we need to set the rule of this Training; Like how far will the target will be place from the pony training and how much time on the clock.” Celestia said



“I think how she have it set is fine, that is about 15 yards away. And let have the time at 30 seconds and 1 minute.” Luna said.



“That sounds good. Ok all we need now is our targets.” Celestia said.



“I am sure Apple Bloom is about done with them.” Nyx said.



“That is if she is done yelling at the royal engineers.” Luna said “when we left there she was telling them how useless they are.”



“Sadly it is true; they haven’t learned any techniques from the Crystal Empire. So they couldn’t put together the plans that Apple bloom sent.”  Celestia said.



Nyx smiled “it is not much of a surprise, since Apple bloom got her cutie mark she been studying all types of crystal technology. She even ordered book from the Crystal Empire. When the crystal ponies came to install the new crystal communication network Apple bloom asked them all sort of questions.”



“I heard about it from those ponies when they reported back.” Cadence said. “They were impressed by her.”



“No surprises here it is her special talent” Nyx commented.



Apple Bloom walked up with four stallions behind her. “Princesses they are done. And I think these stallions learn that they should study the techniques from the Crystal Empire.”



One said while avoiding eye contact “yes we’ll study them.”



“Good, I can’t wait to beat Luna at this game.” Celestia smiled then open a portal to Canterlot. “Shall we go back now.” The engineers and the princesses walk through leaving Nyx and Apple Bloom alone.



“Apple Bloom, what are you going to do now?”



“I am going to the mess hall, it is Dinner time.”



“Good, I am starving. Let go.” Then Nyx and Apple bloom ran to the mess hall. They dish up their food and sat at their normal table with their friends; Sweetie Belle, Babs Seed, Pip, Cloud Dancer, Rainbow Dash, bright eyes, and Pinkie Pie, Silken Glove and Orange Marmalade joined them.



“Nyx, today I got a letter from Rarity, and she said Apple flambé is doing so well that she has to wait three days for a reservation there. There are ponies in Canterlot that have to wait a week for a reservation.”  Sweetie Belle said.



“Good for cousin Apple Flambé, he deserve it.” Apple Bloom said



Silken Glove looked shocked “isn’t that the place that four princesses had lunch at?”



Nyx answered “yes, but that isn’t all that was sitting there that day. Bearers of the Elements of Harmony, Apple bloom, our Friend Scootaloo and Sweetie Belle were also the there.”



“I remember that.” Rainbow said “that was when Cadence told us that was pregnant. I wonder how she is doing.”



“She is doing fine. I saw her just before we came here.”



“Why was she here Nyxie?”



Nyx told them about the training that she made up.



“Isn’t that lying?” Orange Marmalade said.



“No, it is a real training technique. My uncle taught me it.” Nyx explained “I just made it so you can rate your skill at it.” 



“But you told Sunset Punch that it was an Alicorn Training Technique.” Marmalade said.



“I am an Alicorn and I use it. So it is an Alicorn Training Technique.” Nyx said “and water has been used for training magic since Celestia was young. Who says that Celestia and Luna didn’t do training in a similar  way when they were young?”



“Marmalade, just drop it. Nyx is far smarter than you. And she didn’t do it to lie she did it to help Silken Glove.” Babs said “You are only a filly earth pony. She is an Alicorn princess.”



“She still didn’t tell Sunset Punch everything.” Marmalade said.



“She didn’t need to she got a letter from Celestia.” Sunset Punch walked up. “I now see why Luna put you five in charge of the camp. Luna told me that Rainbow Dash and Pinkie Pie are the only Ponies that could keep Nyx and her friends in line.”



“I don’t think that we need to be kept in line. I think it is best to point them in the right direction and see what comes of it.” Rainbow Dash said.



“What bothers me the most now is that Nyx outclass me in magic. She galloped on water like it is solid ground. I couldn’t even stand on water.” Sunset Punch said “After the water fight she could eat normally and I had a hard time. And she made her mane flow like Celestia’s and Luna’s mane. I could never do that.”



“That’s because Nyxie train super duper hard with Shooting Star and Twilight.” Pinkie explained.



“She even got an interview with ponies from Celestia’s School for Gifted Unicorns.” Sweetie Belle Said.



“Sorry Sweetie Belle, it wasn’t an interview, they were testing me to see if I could put Celestia and Luna under mind control.” Nyx said sadly “They found out that I couldn’t. And I got a letter from them today telling me that they are giving me a master degree in Advance  Magic Studies.”



Sunset Punch ran away after saying “that’s not fair.”



They look at each other and went back to talking. The rest of the night was like anyone except Sunset Punch didn’t show up for the nightly staff meeting. Which didn’t bother any pony she has became a pebble everypony's shoe. After the meeting they went to their rooms and went to bed. Right before going to bed Nyx wrote her mother.



Hi Mom,

Camp is going will. We have decided on a play for the end of the month. We are going to do Reunion of the Royal Pony Sisters. So could you talk to Cheerilee and get the scripts and costumes from her. There isn’t much that you don’t know about today. You know about the training and the degree already. Reading time is going well. I don’t know what else to write so I will call it a night

Nyx fold up the letter and sent it. Then went to bed.

Nyx wake up and stretched her back smiling. She trotted out on the balcony to greet the sun as Celestia raised it. She walked in to find a letter in her desk from her mom. She smiled as she opened it and read it.



My Darling Nyx,



I will send Snowcap to talk to Cheerilee to get the costumes. I found your script last night and I enclosed it in this letter. I hope it will be good enough until I can send the rest of the play materials to you.



I am happy to hear that you are doing well and your story time is going without a hitch. You don’t know how proud I am of you for the magic training you made up. I think the Cutie Mark Crusaders are rubbing off on you. I don't know if it is a good thing or not. but it is happening.



Today we are doing some groundbreaking on some new buildings around the kingdom. It should be another busy day for us. I look forward to reading your next letter.

She folded up the letter and looked at the script “thanks mom” and she laughed at the notes she took. Then she laid the scrip in the desk and made some copies with her magic minus her notes. She opened the desk drawer. Took her book out and put it in her saddlebags. Then she took the scripts and put them in her saddlebags next to her book. Then she put on her glasses and walked down to the office.



When she got there she saw that all the other ponies look upset. Nyx set the scripts in the desk in front of Pinkie. “What’s going on?”



“Sunset Punch decided to quit because you're better than her in magic.” Sweetie Belle said.



“Let her go. If she quit because she isn’t the best she doesn’t deserve to be the best. I am still not as good as Firefly but I am going to work till I’m the best.”



“How can you say that Rainbow? Sunset Punch is older than Nyx and still not as good. We all know why, but she doesn’t understand difference between an Alicorns and a Unicorns. And Nyx have been trained by the princesses, Shooting Star, and other powerful ponies.” Perry said.



“Where is Sunset Punch?” Nyx asked



“She is at the train station waiting for the train. I already try to talk to her.” Pinkie said.



Nyx ran out the door and to the train station. She saw Sunset Punch setting on her bags.



“Sunset Punch, do you think Alicorns are only Unicorns that can fly?”



“What are you doing here?”



“I asked, do you think Alicorns are unicorns that can fly?”



“Yes, I think that.”



“Then you know nothing, us Alicorns are the guardians of all magic. So we have to be able to use all magic. I have a long way until I can use all magic. Celestia is still studying magic at her age. So I have to study magic much harder than any other pony in Equestria.”



Sunset Punch wanted to hurt Nyx. “Guardian of magic, how can Nightmare moon be the guardian of anything? You are a joke, I see through your good pony act. You are nothing but an evil nasty pony.”



Nyx spread her wings and made her mane flow. Then she used the royal Canterlot voice. “How dare you think you have any right to think low of me? I am a princess of Equestria, and have the responsibility that comes with that title. Most of my power was taken from me because of things that happen in the past. And I have worked hard to get that power back.” Nyx stomped her hove and cracked the ground “Go home we are better off without a pony that doesn’t try to understand other ponies.” Nyx turned and walked away leaving Sunset Punch shaking in fear.



After Nyx was far enough away she used the magic that she used to make her mane flow to fly. She soared back to camp. It was nice to fly from time to time, and she really needed to do something enjoyable after talking to Sunset. She landed outside the mess hall and walked in. the scene was the same as every morning happy campers talking about what they was going to do that day. Some unicorns were practicing magic and some pegasi were flying to the second floor dining hall with trays of food on their backs. It was a heartwarming sight to the young Alicorn. Nyx dished up her food and sat at her friends’ table.



Pinkie Pie was the first to speak “is she coming back?”



“No and I wouldn’t want her to.”



Apple Bloom looked at Nyx “what happened?”



Nyx explained everything. And that she got mad enough to stomp and crack the ground.



“Don’t worry Nyx Sunset was being a meanie mean head.”



Rainbow put her wing over Nyx “Pinkie is right. Forget about her.” Rainbow Laughed “you went full power Alicorn and scared her. That is so hilarious.”



“It was wrong of me, but I wanted to do something to her to get her back for calling me “a joke” and “an evil nasty pony”.”



“You are not a joke or an evil pony. I have seen you help other ponies. When Scootaloo was sick with the feather flu you help her with her homework even though you could have gotten sick yourself. Would an evil pony do that?”



Nyx gave a mischievous grin. “How do you know I didn’t help her evilly? Mahahaha”



Silken glove looked worried. Sweetie Belle lean over “don’t worry the only evil thing about Nyx is her wicked sense of humor.”



Perry looked around. “So, who I will teach advanced magic now?”



Everypony looked at Nyx. But they all know most of the magic Nyx studied was too advanced for the campers. But she is the best qualified.



“I think Nyx should do it.”



All the ponies look over to Silken Glove who had a determined look in her eyes.



“She will do a great job, and she is the best qualified even when Sunset Punch was here. Sunset punch didn’t teach us. All she did was gave us a tasks and then sat and pant her hooves or style her mane.” Then she felt the eyes on her “I am sorry but everyone in the camp knows Nyx has the most powerful magic.”



Perry nodded “she is right, and we from Everfree know about her tutoring other ponies that need help in school.”



Nyx looked unsure “I don’t know about this. I am not that knowledgeable about magic.”



“Nyx, you are comparing yourself with Celestia and the other Alicorns. You know more about magic than most ponies in magic College. I know I went to college.” Parry gave a reinsuring smile.



“I will do it after Luna says it is alright. After all she will have to deal with the angry parents.”



A letter appears in front of Pinkie “yeah, a letter” Pinkie opened it and read it out loud.



Dear Pinkie,



I have received shocking reports from parents about Sunset Punch. That she is neglectful of the camper and verbally abusive. This isn’t the first time she been like that with campers. I can’t have this in my camp. Could you dismiss her for me? On a positive note I have heard nothing but good things about the rest of you. I was a little worry how everypony would act toward Nyx, but I am happy to say everypony in her cabin write glowing reports home about her. About Sunset’s position have Perry or Nyx take it. I will be happy with either one taking the advanced magic classes. Thank you for taking care of this matter for me.



Luna



“Nyx, it looks like you are teaching Advanced Magic.”



Nyx got up “I have to do the story time now.”



They all look at the clock and saw it was that time. They hurry to their seats. Nyx shorten the time she read because she needed to look over the curriculum for her class. She was happy that Luna setup a clear and precise curriculum, which Sunset didn’t touch.





After she read up a little she went to the cabin for magic classes. Nyx walked up to the front of the room. “Good morning, I will be teaching you since Sunset Punch will no longer be working here.”



“So she finally got fired, good.” A pony with thick glasses said.



Nyx ignored the pony “Don’t think I would go easy on you, we have to make up for all the time Sunset Punch didn’t teach you.”



“I speak for the rest of the class when I say we look forward to it. And we had been waiting to take notes.”



“You don’t have to take notes today because we will cover the basics” then Nyx went into her lecture and all the ponies were feverishly taking notes. She didn’t know what she is telling them isn’t what every pony was taught. She show graphs and wrote things on the board. All in all she did a great job.



At the after class that pony with thick glasses came up to Nyx “I am Wiz Bang. Where did you learn all that?”



Nyx thought for a second “from Celestia, Luna, Shooting Star, my mom, and other smart ponies.”



“So did you go to Celestia’s school for gifted Unicorns?”



“No I didn’t. My mom and Shooting Star sat with me every night and helped me with my magic, and sometimes when Celestia or Luna came to my kingdom they help me with my magic. I also have tutors from the high Unicorns. Oh and there is always Fairy Ponies around my castle.”



“Ok, I now understand. You are a nerd surround by nerds. And I mean nerds in the best way possible. We are all nerds in this class… where did you learn that earth ponies could use magic? That is something they are just starting to teach in Celestia’s school, and only to the highest level Unicorns.”



“My mom is Princess Twilight Sparkle the one that discovered the lost tomb of Chancellor Level Head, and learn the secrets of pony magic. So it would make sense that I would know about it. I also read the tomes that got brought out of the tomb.”



“So your mother found the tomb and let you look through the tomes. And you are saying Princess Cadence didn’t mind it.”



“Yes, I think I should tell you the whole story.” She told the story (if you want to know the story read Nyx’s family by RealityCheck)



“That’s quite the story.”



“Yes it was. But now I have to help Pinkie with the play. See you later Wiz Bang.”



Nyx walked across the camp to the camp’s auditorium. It was an open air auditorium with a professional lights setup and with a first class audio system. Like most things at this camp Luna wanted it to be royal class. She walked into the auditorium to hear laughter and Diamond Tiara walking out with tears in her eyes and Shiver Spoon following her. She walked up to Pinkie who was talking with Celestia. “Hello Celestia, what are you doing here.”



“I am here with Spell Nexus to checking up on how your class was going. And Pinkie asked me to help her with the audition. She wanted to be able to hear my voice so she can cast the right pony.”



“Ok, so what happen to Diamond Tiara?”



Pinkie looked sad “she have been getting picked on by other fillies. She came here thinking she would be treated like back in Everfree, but she has no title or anything.”



Celestia sighed “the poor dear made a fool of herself on the stage trying to audition to be me.”



Nyx was sad that Diamond Tiara was having a hard time, no pony deserved to be treated poorly. Then she thought of something. “Why did you bring Spell Nexus with you?”



“As you know he had a project he was doing.”



“Yes?”



“And his funding got cut. So he have been sulking around the castle for the last two weeks And I thought he could do something here and get him out of my hair.”



“So the master puppeteer strikes again.”



“Nyx, you are starting to sound a lot like Shooting Star.”



Nyx smiled Shooting Star have been like a kind older brother to her and so she like the idea if her being more like him. “Spell Nexus can take over for me with hikes and the book reading in the morning. But will he do it?”



“He will if I order him to.”



Nyx shake her head “I am not going to point out how much of an abuse of power that is. How are the auditions coming?”



Celestia closed a folder “we are done. And we pretty much know who is playing what part. Pinkie and I have agreed on most roles the only one we disagree on is villager one. So we will have villager one A and B.”



Nyx looked confused “why couldn’t one of them be villager two?”



Pinkie’s face got dead serious “they were both super duper good villager one so they both have play to that role.”



Celestia gave the folder to pinkie and stood up “Nyx, why don’t we have a little picnic just the two of us.”



Nyx know that whatever Celestia is going to talk about in this picnic is the real reason she came. Celestia could have just send Spell Nexus with a note around his neck; like she has done with maids and guards in the past. “I would be delighted to join you on a Picnic, Celestia.”



Celestia’s horn flashed and a large Picnic basket appeared. “Pinkie Dear, would you inform Spell Nexus that he will be working here by royal order.” she started to walk out of the auditorium. “Nyx, shall we get going.”



They went on a little hike and do small talk about the weather and their kingdoms. They ended up on a hill that overlooks the camp. Celestia open the basket while Nyx spread a blanket. Celestia took out different foods that she normally wouldn’t let herself eat; Fried oatcakes and other fattening foods grace the blanket then they were done.



After they started to eat Celestia asked. “Have you had any magic surges or lose of control of your magic?”



“No, can’t say that I have.”



“That is good. Just tell us if you have any problems.”



“Celestia, I can’t have any problems with my magic, someone might think I am.” Nyx got sad and tears formed in her eyes. “turning back to nightmare moon.”



Celestia move over to next to Nyx and put her wing over Nyx. “You are Nyx, the smart, funny, and wonderful filly that wins the hearts of all those around her. No one would think any less you for having any problems. If you have a problem with your magic any one of us princess would drop anything to help you.” Celestia smiled, and walked around to face Nyx. “All of us princesses have problems with our magic at one time or another. So we will not judge you.”



“All of you princesses had problems with your magic? Even Luna?”



“You know how our manes flow with magic. Well, when Luna was your size she had a whole year of frizzy magic mane.”



“What is frizzy magic mane?”



“It is just as it sounds, when you magic doesn’t flow right your mane becomes a tangled mess. That would be bad enough but she had a colt she liked. And he saw her with the tangled mane. She was crushed.”



Nyx got an excited look in her eyes. “Luna had a colt friend?”



“She had many over the years but he wasn’t a colt friend; he was a younger brother of one of the guards. He was handsome I liked him also.” Celestia blushed a little.



“Did you asked him out?”



“Well, I should get going; royal duties don’t wait for anyone.” Celestia quickly teleported back to Canterlot.



Nyx sat there for a second, and then clean up the picnic. “That Celestia always ran away when it get personal.”



She returned to the camp and did you afternoon class and spent the rest of the day helping the campers with their activates.  Then dinner and after that a meeting around the fire were you say something nice about another camper. Then bed time for the campers and planning meeting for the stuff. Nyx was excited because today is the first time since coming here she had something to add to the meeting. When lily came in. she flew into Nyx’s mane and hide there.



“Lily, what it wrong?”



“I had a bad dream. Could I stay with you for a while?”



Crème Brulee got up and walked to the kitchen and brought out some warm milk for Lily. “Here, this will calm you down.”



Lily flew down onto the table and drank some as Nyx stood up and did her report. “Today I did the first four lessons for my class. I hope they got most of what I taught. Tomorrow I think of doing lesson 5 through 7. One and a half lessons per class should help us catch-up.”



Spell Nexus Smiled “Nyx don’t worry about keeping up with the curriculum just worry about if they learn the lessons. If you spend three day on one lesson but all your student learn it you did a great job as a teacher.” He horn glowed and a pamphlet appeared. “This is the general magic aptitude test or G-MAT. It will tell you your students’ magic level.”



Nyx took it in her magic and looked through it. “Wouldn’t they have already taken this test?”



“Sadly no; I meant it make it part of the entry exam for Celestia’s School for gifted Unicorns. But that was before,, you know what.”



“Oh!! Well, thank you for the test. I’ll use it tomorrow first thing.” Nyx smiled “Spell Nexus, if you have any more pointer I would be more than happy to hear them. I’m new at this whole teaching thing.”



“of course, we are friends aren’t we?”



Nyx nodded “yes we are.”



While they were talking Lily finished her milk and flew up and nested herself in Nyx’s mane at the bottom of her neck.



Sweetie Belle laughed “d’aww. Lily was so tired than she went to sleep.”



Crème Brulee chuckled “yeah, warm milk does it every time.”



Rainbow dash stood up “any more things to report?” Everypony looked around. “Then let’s call it a night”



Then all the ponies went to do their bedtime ritual. And Sweetie Belle walk up to Nyx. “what are you gonna do with Lily?”


“I’ll let her sleep with me. We all know there is plenty of room on Luna’s bed for me, her, and half of the equestrian army.”



Nyx took Lily in her magic and her and Sweetie Belle went to their room. Sweetie Belle wrote in her journal and went to bed. Nyx put lily on her bed and cover her with a sweater, then did her daily letter to her mother and went to bed.

The next morning found all the Royal Alicorns in Shooting Star’s Lab. Twilight and Luna were placing Magic Crystals in the shape of a dome over a Magic Circle Celestia and Shooting Star has drawn.

Then they were done, Shooting Star took out two crystals. One with Celestia’s Alicorn essence and the other the Crystal he picked up after Voldermare was defeated.  And he carefully used his magic to move them onto a cushion in the middle of the magic circle. Then he said the magic words. “bibbidi bobbidi boo. No no that isn’t it. Abra daba Abra deba. It looks like I need help. There should be a book around here.”

Twilight looked annoyed. “Here is the book, so you can stop playing around.” And she levitated it at his head.



Shooting Star smile “you know you are so cute when you’re mad.” Then he motion for everypony to took their places. They lit their horn and spread their wings. Shooting star start the spell “All the ponies of the Elements that role over all magic, I call for your help by name.” The magic chalk line lit up with a white light. And all the Magic Crystals glow and start rotate around the circle. Shooting Star walked into the Circle “Water that makes all life possible I call forth the spirits of the sea ponies.” then the bottom row of crystals took the form of sea ponies.

Luna walked into the circle “earth that give us our bodies, I call forth the spirits of the earth ponies” the next row of crystals took the form of earth ponies.

Cadence walked into the Circle “Fire that burns in our breast and give us the desire to live, I call forth the spirit of the Pegasi” the next row up took the form of Pegasi,

Celestia walk into the Circle. “Air that give us our daily breath I call forth the spirits of the Windigos.” The third to the top row of crystals took the form of Windigos.

Twilight walked into the Circle. “Life is a mystical power that is unknown I call forth the searchers the answers of the unknown the spirits of the Unicorns” the second to the top row took the form of unicorns  

All the Alicorns say together “And last the guardians of the all magic I call forth the spirit of the Alicorns.” And the top row took the form of Alicorns. “We ask for your assistance to give this essence a body.” Lightening shot out of the crystals and captured the two Crystals on the   cushion and raised them to flout at eye height. Shooting Star, Celestia, and Luna work and distort the magic to make the two crystals into one large ball of light. Shooting Star took a dagger from on top of his desk and gave himself a small cut and he draw out some blood and put it in the ball of light then the ball pulse like a heartbeat. Then they work some more and it grow a head and legs. Then wings with features form and then hair grow on its head. Then at last the filly started to breathe. Then all the crystals turn to dust and the sleeping form of a white filly with light pink hair flouted down onto the cushion.

The room got quiet and Celestia look over the filly “two eyes, check, Two wings, check, four legs, check, one tail, check, one mane, check, two ears, check, one horn, check, and a cute little muzzle, check. It looks like it worked.”

Shooting Star looked at the sleeping filly “you know what a nap sounds good to me right now. Twilight, when do we have our first meeting today?”



“In about three hours.”



“Then I will take a nap.” Shooting Star took the filly in his magic and went to the library and lay down on an oversized cushion with the filly. He fell asleep nuzzling the small form.





Back at the camp Nyx had wake up and have done her morning routine. And now is in the Office for a morning meeting called my Rainbow Dash.



“I called this meeting because Pinkie and I want to thank you for your hard work. I also want to thank Spell Nexus for being here. We are half way through our time here. And I just want to say we couldn’t ask for a better team to work here. That is all I have to say. You are dismissed.”



Spell Nexus walked over to Nyx. “That was nice.”



“Rainbow Dash likes to give pep talks from time to time. It is something she learned from Firefly.”



Spell Nexus levitated a stack of papers over to Nyx. “That is good. Here are the G-Mats I told you about.”



“Thank you I will give the test today.” Then Nyx ran off to look for pencils for the test.



Sometime later in the Everfree Castle the royal Ponies finish a meeting with Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy then the double doors to the throne room burst open and there stood a white filly Alicorn covered from head to hove with fathers of all types. She struck a pose and said “don’t I look as you would say fabulous.”



All the ponies there giggled. Luna nudged Celestia. “It is like looking into a mirror isn’t it.”



Celestia smiled. “No, I would have used more peacock feathers.” 



The Filly stood there wondering what is so funny. Cadence saw this and walked over.



“Did I do something odd? I thought I look amazing.” Filly looked confused.



Cadence smile and lift the fillies face “Crystal, you do look amazing and cute.” Cadence tipped Crystal’s nose with her hove. “You are an amazingly cute filly. So we smile because we adore you.”



Crystal smile and hug Cadence “I adore you too Cadence.”



Rarity walked up “who is this young Fashionista.”



Twilight smile “This is Princess Bright Crystal, Crystal for short. Crystal this is my friend Rarity. She owns Carousel Boutique in town.”



Crystal got interested “Rarity, what does you Boutique specializes in?”



“I do a bit of everything. Why do you ask?”



“Because Nyx is at a camp and I have no suitable clothes to wear to a camp.” She levitated her tiara to show Rarity. “I have this beautiful gold tiara with Diamonds weaved in it thanks to the kindness of Celestia and Luna had a matching one for Nyx made. But I don’t know if this tiara is enough to wear to meet Nyx for the first time.”



Applejack walked up. “Shoot sugar cube, you worry way too much.”



Flutter shy poke her head out from behind Applejack. “Nyx is a nice pony, she always have time to have tea parties with my animals Friends.”



Crystal look at Twilight. “Are they your friends also.”



Twilight noticed she didn’t introduce them. “Sorry, this is Applejack she owns Sweet Apple Acres and this is Fluttershy she is an animal caregiver.”



“Pleased to meet you Miss Applejack and Miss Fluttershy.” Crystal said with a little bow.    



Celestia looked at the clock. “It is time for us to go.”



“Same here.” Said Shining Armor.



Crystal put on the biggest puppy dog eyes. “Celestia, Luna and Cadence, do you really have to go. I wanted to spend time with you.”



Celestia felt her heart melt a bit. “Crystal, if it is alright with Twilight and Shooting Star you can visit us whenever you want.”



Cadence nodded “yes, you can but it might get boring since we are old mares.”



Crystal looked at Cadence’s swollen belly. “then I have to visit you. I have to make sure my cousin wouldn’t be bored then she is born.”



Celestia smile, “see you at our next meeting. So where is our meeting getting held.”



“I believe the Crystal Empire.” Shooting Star said.



Shining Armor and Cadence both looked at each other. “We should go, bye.” then they teleported away.



“Me thinks they are not ready.” Luna said with a smile.



“You might be right Luna.” Shooting Star said with a smile.



“Luna, are you coming with me or come back later.”



“I will go with you Celestia. I need to get some sleep before raising the moon.”



Celestia and Luna said their goodbyes and left.



Twilight turn and look at Crystal. “It’s about time to take off that feather dress.”



“If that is what you want Twilight.” With that Crystal took off the dress and set it on a chair.



Applejack, Rarity and Fluttershy just notice the she was an Alicorn. The feathers in the dress made it impossible to make out her wings.



Rarity was the first to speak. “Crystal, how about I show you around town.”



“Twilight, can I go?”



“After you wash the glue off your coat and eat some lunch.”



“Ok I will have Cherry Blossom and Sea foam give me a bath and White Dove get my lunch.”



“I need to have Cherry Blossom finish what she is doing, so you can use Sea Foam and White Dove.”



“Ok, Twilight.” And she left to take a bath.



Twilight though for a second, then She turned and looked at Snowcap which have got her and her friends lunch. “Snowcap, what is the difference between a Hoofmaiden and personal maid?”



“Princess Twilight, the difference is a personal maid’s job is to clean up after her master first. And everything else her master needs second. Hoofmaiden help her masters with whatever the master needs and clean on her downtime.”



Twilight thought it over. “So they do the same job, different emphasis. Thank you Snowcap.”



“Your Lunch is setup in the Garden.” With that Snowcap left.



All four mares sat down at the table. Rarity couldn’t handle holding back her questions any longer.



“Twilight, who is Crystal Really and where did she come from?”



“Rarity, that is a hard question to answer.”



“I will answer it.” Princess Galaxy walked down a path. “I am sorry Twilight I needed to see her.” She sat down next to a nearby tree. “There once was a beautiful queen of the high Unicorns. She was loved by all. But because all loved her she became vain because she believed they love her because of her Beauty. Then one day an evil centaur wizard tried to take over this land and that queen went and defend it. Before the Queen defeated the Centaur he cast an evil spell on her, the same spell the turned Luna to Nightmare Moon. And that queen turned to Voldermare.  Crystal is what remained of that queen and a bit of Celestia’s Alicorn essence. Shooting Star knew this story and also heard about how Nyx was born, so he decided that Crystal deserves a chance to live a happy live.”



Then a partly dry Alicorn filly ran out. “I took a bath and I eat a nice disk of oats and assorted fruits. Twilight, can I go please?”



White Dove came running out with a bath towel over her back. “Princesses, you need to get dried off or you’ll catch a cold!! You are as bad as Celestia!” White Dove stomp her hoof. “Once you get excited nothing else matters! “ 



Twilight laughed. “You can go after you finish getting dried off and we are done eating.”



“Ok, but I will be waiting in the Front hall; impatiently I must add.” Crystal walked into the Castle.



Applejack took a bite of food. “Thank goodness, she is a little filly at heart.”



Twilight smiled. “She is still not sure who she is. She was born just this morning.  So it will take her some time for her to know what she wants to be like. The same thing happened with Nyx.”



“The poor dear, it must be hard for her.” Flutter frowned.



“Enough of this.” Rarity said “Twilight, how is Nyx doing at camp.”



“She is doing great. her class….”



In the Front hall Crystal was getting dried by White Dove.



“Princess, why did you warm up to us so quickly?”



“Why shouldn’t I? You’re nice to me, and very fun to tease.”



White Dove hung her head. “Princess, please don’t tease us too much.”



“Ok, tell me how long has Twilight and Shooting Star been dating.”



“Well, they are not dating. But they do make the cutest couple don’t they.”



“They sure do.”



“From what I heard, the reason that Shooting Star haven’t ask twilight out is, because he is still getting over the dead of his wife and son.”



“Really!!”



“Yeah, but you didn’t hear it from me.”



“I never do, do I”



“Well, you are done. Have fun in town with Rarity.”



“Thank you White Dove.”



With that White Dove left. And Crystal waits.



After minute Applejack walked up. “Sugar cube, Rarity will be there talk for a bit so I will show you Everfree in her place. Is that alright with ya?”



Crystal jumped up and put on her saddlebags. “I am all ready.”



They left the Castle and went to the market place. “Here is our market; you can buy any fresh fruit or vegetables here.”



“Can I buy something here? Shooting Star gave me some money.” She levitated a coin purse out of her Saddlebag. 



“You don’t want to get Fruit or Vegetables. You want to get ice cream on a day this hot.”



They turn to see an orange filly.



“Scootaloo, I thought you were traveling with your family?”



“I was, but my dad strained his back. So we came home. who is this Filly?”



“She is Crystal.. Nyx’s sister now. I guess.”



Scootaloo looked at Crystal. “How can she be Nyx’s sister?”



“Scootaloo, ask Twilight when you see her next.”


“Whatever, have you heard Diamond Tiara couldn’t take it at camp and came back crying.”



“That didn’t surprise me she isn’t really the camping type.”



“Crystal, right.” Crystal nodded “as one of Nyx’s best friends I think I should show you all the best places in town. Applejack would most likely show you all the best Vegetable stands in town.”



Crystal look at Applejack. “Sugar cube, go ahead and play with Scootaloo. I have work to do anyways.”



Scootaloo lean close to Crystal. “Let’s see if we can loss the guards as we are at it.”   



Crystal nodded and they went off running. They met up with more of Nyx’s friends and played until dinner time.



Crystal walked in to Twilight’s suite and through herself in the couch. “I can’t move any more. How does Nyx do it? I only with her friends for three hours and I am this tired.”



White Dove walked over laughing. “She does what you are doing now. Walks in and lie on the couch and tell us how she couldn’t move ever again because she is so tired.”



She smiled because she is doing the same thing as the wonderful pony she heard about.



Cherry Blossom chimed in “that is until the food gets here.”



The four Hoofmaidens laugh. Twilight walked down from her office. “Crystal, what bring you here at this time isn’t your room in Shooting Star’s suite?”



“Yes it is, but he has no Hoofmaidens to take care of me when I am in such a shape.” Crystal put her hoof to her head and leaned down on the couch. “It was the worst, possible thing.”



“So Rarity found you?”



Crystal smiled a malicious smile. “Yes, and she told me how worried she was and how I shouldn’t have left without her.” As she talked she did her best to do Rarity’s movements.



Spike walked in and saw a filly on the couch. “Hey Nyx, Why did you dye your coat white?”



Crystal saw spike and said in her best Rarity “Twilight, this is the worst, possible, thing, ever. How could you have shrunk me like this?”  



Spike eyes widened “Rarity, I will go to the Library and find a way to bring you back to your right size. Just wait here for me.” Then Spike ran out of the room.



“They are right about spike he is gullible.” Crystal tried to roll off the couch but failed. “I will explain everything to spike later.”



Twilight rolled her eyes. “Snow Cap, get spike would you.”



After Spike heard the whole story.



“So now there are two of them. Fate must hate me.”



Crystal smile “Fate doesn’t hate you, she just have a twisted sense of humor. No one could hate such a cute Baby dragon. Aww he looks mad, so cute.”



“Whatever.” Spike walked into his room.



“Well I should get something to eat and go to bed. Thank you all for a fun evening.” Crystal rolled off the couch and walk out.



At the camp Nyx have already graded the tests and is now have just finish reading over the script for the play again. “pinkie, I think we should change the script to make it the full story of the two royal sisters.”



“What do you mean?”



“the way it is written Celestia looks like a saint and Luna looks like a troubled child. But it wasn’t that way. Celestia did some things wrong to help make Nightmare Moon.”



Sweetie Belle asked. “how do you know the full story?”



“The first day we were in Everfree Celestia and Shooting Star told me and my mom. But I don’t know if I could put it in the play. I will write my mom and Shooting Star and ask if it would be alright.”



Pinkie ran and got a quill and paper. “Here, write your letter.” Pinkie then sat there waiting for Nyx to write.



Nyx ignore Pinkie and wrote her Letter.



Dear mom and Shooting Star,



I hope you are doing well. The reason for this letter is I was reading the script for our play and I notice that it isn’t the full story. And it is bothering me. I was wondering if you think I could put in the play what lead to Luna turning into Nightmare Moon. I would like your response as soon as you can give it.



Nyx



Nyx folded the letter and sent it. “Now all we can do is wait.”



Spike ran out of his room and found Cherry Blossom wiping the table down. “where is Twilight I have a letter from Nyx.”



“She is over in Shooting Star’s suite.”



“could you give her this Letter, I am not in the mood to see Crystal.” Spike put the letter on the table and went back into his room.



Cherry Blossom pickup the letter. “Oh spike, she only tease you because she likes you.” Then she walked to Shooting Star’s Suite. She knocked on the door. “I have a letter for princess Twilight.”



Shooting Star answered the door and got the letter. Then he took it to Twilight. She read it. “Nyx is wondering if she can tell the full story of how Luna became Nightmare Moon in her play.”



Shooting Star went to his desk and start writing.



“What are you doing over there?”



“I have to write the story down or she couldn't tell it.”



It was the middle of the evening meeting  a thick Letter appeared. Nyx open it.



Dear Nyx,



This is the full story of how Luna became Nightmare Moon. I know you would do something amazing with it



Shooting Star



“Pinkie, it looks like we can add it to the script of the play. Shooting Star even wrote it down for us.”



Pinkie looked over the story. “hmmm, she did what,  oh, oh no.”



Nyx looked at the pages the Pinkie had read. Shooting Star wrote the story like a play script. “he thinks of everything.”


“Ok, everyone lets go over the play scene by scene. She see how we could improve it.”



They spent a good part of the night going over the script and adding here and taking out there.

In the morning Nyx woke still tired from staying up too late, but it was worth it. She had a revised the play that would put a hoofway play to shame.  She hurried and get ready. Nyx went down the stairs to find the rest of the stuff waiting for her.



“Nyx, We think you should give the news about the play to the camp. It was your idea after all.”



“ok I will do it. Let’s get to the Mess Hall.” After the staff got lined up and Nyx use the Royal Canterlot Voice “Can I have your attention please?”  all the ponies there stop what they are doing. Then Nyx use her normal voice. “We want to tell you about the changes to the play. We have added scenes and Characters.  Sweetie Belle has arranged music that fit the scenes perfectly. Apple Bloom thought up special effects that are truly unbelievable. Our aim is to have a play that would put Hoofway to shame. We would like your help to do this. Can we count on her help in this?” 



There was a stomping and whistling from everywhere in the room.



Rainbow Dash lean close to Nyx. “I think we have their help.”



For the next two weeks the Campers weren’t in class they were doing something for the play.



It is the night of the Play and back stage was busier that Grandpont station in Manehattan.  And Nyx was busy helping where she can.  She look out at the ponies taking their sets and crystal cameras. Somehow some pony talked Shooting Star into broadcasting the Play. “Nyx, you wouldn’t have done that.” Nyx said to herself then she looked up at the Royal Box and saw the Celestia and Luna is already here. Then somepony Yelled “fifteen minutes, Fifteen Minutes everypony.” Nyx took a deep breath and let it out slowly. Nyx give herself a pep talk. “That is right Nyx, you have work to do. It doesn’t matter how many ponies will see this play as long as you do your best”  Nyx then went to get her makeup done.



Back in Everfree. Spike handed Crystal a ticket “Crystal, I want you to have my ticket. I seen this play before, and I would rather watch it here with my friends than in a Royal box.”



“Are you sure? Wouldn’t Nyx be upset if you’re not there?”


"it will be fine, she will be too busy to notice if I am there or not." spike gave her a reassuring smile.


Crystal hugged Spike and ran to get ready.



Shooting Star patted Spike on the back. “That is kind of you Spike. “



“I am just that type of Dragon.”



Twilight looked at Spike “and it has nothing to do with the snacks and the cookies fixed for Crystal to make her feel better for not going.”



“ how could you think I am so cold blooded to trick Crystal to leave so I could have them all to myself.”



“Spike, Dragons are Cold Blooded. And you try to trick Nyx out of treats all the time.”



“I don’t have to stand here and take this.” Then Spike walked right in to the kitchen.



Crystal ran it to the room with her saddlebag and Opera Grasses in her magic. Shooting Star walked over to Crystal. “It looks like you are ready. Shall we go.”



She nodded and he opened the portal to the Camp. They follow the signs and went to the Royal Box. Crystal was so excited she can hardly sit still. A minute of two later the stage light came on and Spell nexus walk to middle stage.



“Good evening Fillies and gentlecolts. We are here to entertain you with the tale of the two Pony sisters. Our Story starts over a thousand years ago, after Celestia and Luna defeated Discord.”  Spell Nexus moved to side stage and the curtains opened. The scene was simple; it is a round room with a book on a podium.  Two ponies walk out from either side of the stage. One dressed as Celestia and the other Luna.

The one dressed as Celestia walked up to the Podium and she opened the book. “Dear journal, my name is Celestia. today My sister Luna and I are going to be crown princesses of Equestria.  I am starting this Journal so we both can write about our amazing advances as princesses. Well I hope they are amazing. I don’t know if that will be amazing. I am assuming they will be amazing. But I guess I shouldn’t assume that will be amazing, because I have never been a princess of Pegasi, Unicorns, and Earth ponies. Maybe they won’t be amazing. Maybe I won’t be amazing. Maybe I will be really rotten. What if I am know as Celestia the really rotten Princess of Equestria.

Ok calm down, Celestia you’re freaking yourself out again.  Take a breath. You are going to work hard like you always do. And as long as you work hard you will be just fine. Ok that’s better. First of all I can’t even believe Luna and I will be princesses. It happened so suddenly and unexpectedly.” The Celestia actor went on reading her part in the book. Celestia blush at how she was back then.  After awhile the Celestia actor finish and the Luna actor walk up to the book. “Journal, we are Luna and we are going to be crown princess of Equestria. Thou art our Royal diary. Which we shall write our most profound thoughts of being said Princess and.”  Luna forgot all about what she wrote in that Journal and she was embarrass. “How did Nyx get our Journal?” Twilight smile and looked away. As the play went on the Actors read entries that make you understand the first part of their time ruling over Equestria. When the curtains closed, and  spell Nexus walked to middle stage again “as time went by the sisters grow apart.” Then he walked back to the side Stage and the curtains open again and this time the scene is of a large table and ponies sitting around it. The Luna actor was finishing her speech. “and that is how a night festival would help the all the ponies of Equestria.”



One of the Ponies stood up “I don’t know why we have to go to meeting with the lesser princess. She has no power.” And another stood up “Luna is scary; I want she not to walk around the castle.” Each pony around the table stood and said something mean about Luna. When the last one said something Luna ran off stage and the curtains close and Luna ran onto middle stage and sat. Then she broke out to sing.  It was a sad number about how she been hurt by what other ponies said to and about her.



Many of the nobles in the crowd lower their eyes in shame because they said or did something like that.



The play went on after sometime Luna actor start to sing a song about raising the moons. Part way through the song smoke rose from the stage around the Luna actor. When the smoke clear Nyx stood there in Nightmare moon armor and with magic flowing mane. She was a sight to behold. Then  Nightmare moon  finish the song. When the song was over Celestia actor came on to the stage and asked Nightmare moon to lower the moon. and she told her that the night will last forever. And they took to the air and have a fight flying above the crowd.  It looks like Nightmare moon was going to win then Celestia used the elements of harmony. then Celestia sent nightmare moon to the moon and then Celestia sang lullaby for a princess.  Then the curtains close and Spell Nexus walks out to Middle stage  “a thousand years  have pass. And the story of Nightmare moon became nothing but a  filly tale. But one Unicorn saw that there was more to the story.”  Then the Curtains opened to Twilight actor reading a book. She got up and had actor spike right a letter to Celestia and she was sent to Ponyville and Nightmare Moon show up and she meets up with five other and defeat Nightmare moon and brought back Luna. And the play ended with everypony amazed at the play.



After the play Cadence was tired and so she and Shining Armor went home. and the rest of the Royal Ponies went backstage to see Nyx.



Crystal stood back with Celestia and watch Nyx. Nyx had a glow about her. It was similar to Luna’s Glow. But it is hard to put your finger on. It is fun and exciting, but dark and mysterious, sort of like a night festival. That is it, she is like a night festival; full of promise and excitement. Luna is like a cold night full of wonder and mysteries.  Crystal wonders if Luna even was like Nyx is now.  



“Celestia, would you tell me how Luna was when she was my size? Was she like Nyx?”



Celestia watch Nyx a little. “Yes and no; Luna was as bright and funny as Nyx. But she was so shy and was afraid that other ponies wouldn’t like her. So she didn’t become what Nyx is now.” Celestia got down to eye level with Crystal. “You see it isn’t your potential that says who you are. It is what you do with that potential. Nyx and Luna share many of the same traits and you and I share many traits also but we all are different ponies because we choose to use those traits differently. ”  



Crystal smiles and nodded, then looked worried. “Do you think I am a coward because I am afraid to meet Nyx?”



“No, when you are ready you will meet her you will, and this isn’t the best time to meet her anyways.”



“I guess you’re right. But I am afraid I wouldn’t measure up to her. You saw the play. She can act, sing, fly, and look at her she is loved by everyone.”



“Crystal, Nyx have many faults and shortcomings. As you live with her you will find them out for yourself, as I have found out all of Luna’s faults and she mine.”



Shooting Star and Twilight walked back. “what are you two talking about.”



“I was just telling Crystal funny stories about shooting Star as a colt. Are you done talking with Nyx?”



“She had some Interviews to do with the rest of the cast.”


Crystal asked “can we go home now?”



Twilight looked confused. “don’t you want to see more of the camp.”



“why would I? so I can see how much better Nyx is than me.” A Tear rolled down her cheek.



Luna stooped her hoof. “you're coming with me.” Without give Crystal a chance to respond Luna lifted Crystal with her magic and took her to a cloud high up in the sky.



Crystal saw that Luna is mad and disappointed.



“have thou not watched the same play as I did.” Luna paced back and forth. “Have thou not seen what jealousy of my sister have done to me.  IT TURNED ME INTO A MONSTER!!”  Luna stood there with tears in her eyes. “I don’t want that to happen to you. Not again.” Luna put her hoof on Crystal’s face. “You are beautiful, and Nyx can never be truly beautiful because of her eyes; the eyes of a monster.” Luna sat there mentally beating herself up. “You don’t have to face the pain Nyx have to. There are still Ponies that fear Nyx because she was born of what I was.”



Crystal didn’t know there are Ponies that are afraid of Nyx. It made sense but every pony she knows love Nyx.



“Have you hear how last nightmare night she was fillynaped and they tried to kill her.”



“No, why would anypony what to kill her?”



“Because they thought she wasn’t a real pony, and she was tricking my sister and I. they also thought that she will take over Equestria again.”



Crystal looked sad and ashamed “I didn’t know.”



“I know you didn’t know, the castle stuff want to know the wonderful and funny things about Nyx. But Nyx carries a heavy burden. That I want you to help her carry that burden, like Celestia does for me.”



“I don’t know if I can.”



Luna smile and stood up. “We are Alicorns, we have the strength of earth ponies so we can bear heavy responsibilities, the wings of the Pegasi so we can lift our kingdoms to new heights.   And the Magic of the unicorns so we can do all that is need for our little ponies. So I believe you can help Nyx with her burden.”



“I will try my best, but I don’t know how good I would be at it.”



“I don’t think I have to be a burden to another pony, Luna.”



Luna and Crystal looked over at a nearby cloud to see Celestia, Shooting Star, Twilight, and Nyx.



“How long have you been there.”



Nyx answered “since you said IT TURNED ME INTO A MONSTER!! And by the way I am very pretty aren’t I mom.”



“Yes Sweetie, you are pretty.”



“See Luna.” Nyx stuck out her tongue. Then she looked at Crystal. “So who just agree to take some of my burden?”



Crystal took a deep breath. “ I am Crystal and I am your sister.”



Nyx looked at her mom and look at shooting Star. “Is there something you two have to tell me? I do know how fouls are made.”



Twilight turned bright red and Shooting Star laughed.



It was Celestia that was the first to speak. “She is your sister in the way she was born not because she is your mother’s child.”



“She is to Voldermare as you are to Nightmare Moon.” Luna explained.



“Oh, I see now.” Nyx looked down and saw ponies looking for her. “I will think about this tonight, I have interviews to do.” Nyx jump off the cloud glide down to the ground.



“she hates me.”



Shooting Star flew over next to Crystal. “Crystal, she doesn’t hate you. She is just overwhelmed. Put yourself in her place.”



“Can we go home, I am tired.”



Shooting Star nodded and opens a portal. The Everfree Royalty stepped through.



On the ground Nyx was walking back to the stage when Sweetie Belle walked up.



Nyx looked at Sweetie Belle “I have a sister and I just met her.”



“really, Rarity told me about her. What is she like.”



“She has a white coat with pinkie mane and her cutie mark is a blue kite shield with a sun on it.”



“Do you like her?”



“We haven’t talked much yet, but she seems nice. It is just weird, if my mom had a foul I have 11 months to get ready, but having her show up at my play out of nowhere. What were they thinking?” Then they got to the stage. “Can’t talk now, got an interview to go to.” Then Nyx ran away, the truth is she is a jumble of different feelings. She is happy she have a sister, confused why nopony told her and sad, that she wouldn’t be the only filly living in the Castle. Jealousy and pride that she is beautiful. Each feeling fighting to take main stage in her heart.


In the interviews her and her costars wowed the reporters with charm and wit. It was for all but Nyx the perfect end to amazing day.



When Nyx got back to her room she took off her Nightmare Armor and sat at her desk to write a long Letter to her mom.



Dear Twilight Sparkle,



I am not going to call my mother; mothers don’t keep this type of secret from her Daughter.  What were you thinking? Can you imagine how I felt? Everypony there knew who she was and I didn’t. I thought I was part of the family but I guess I was wrong.  And you show up on a special day for me and ruined it. Who is this Crystal? I am not going to hold what happen against her. She seems nice. Tell her I am sorry for the way I left. I need to sort out my feeling. And still do. 

Please write back and explain what is going on. I am scared that you don’t want me anymore because I am not as petty as Crystal.



Nyx.

Nyx send the Letter and curl up in a ball on her bed. A Letter doesn’t quite do it for her. She wanted to yell at her mom and told her all her worries and then laid there getting hold by her mom. She wanted to feel her mom’s warmth and smell her scent. She just wanted her mom.



Twilight got the letter. She take a deep breath. Read the letter one more time. “Spike, I will be back late.” Then Twilight teleported to the camp. It was dark all the campers were asleep.



As Twilight was getting her bearings Luna walked up behind her. “I was waiting for you.”



“Why wait for me?”



“because you are Nyx’s mother, and the one she wants.” Luna Smiled “she is in her room over the office.”



“Thank you Luna.” And Twilight ran off.



When Twilight is out of earshot. “Twilight, you never disappoint me.” Then Luna walked to every cabin and look in on the Campers.



Twilight ran up the stairs and open the door to Nyx’s room. Nyx see her mother and ran and hug her and  all of Nyx’s feeling and worries she had since leaving the castle came out of her mouth like a soda that got open after shaking. When the storm of worries stopped.



“Well, Nyx feel better?”



Nyx giggled “yes I felt like I was going to explode. Can you imagine little pieces of Nyx plastered all over this room?”



Twilight laugh and push Nyx away “that is morbid, But it is good to see that you are feeling better.”



“I still don’t know what to think About Crystal.”



“All I ask is for you to give her a chance.”



“Of course I will give her a chance. I have one very important question. Well you answer it truthfully?”



“yes I will.”



Nyx looked very hard at Twilight, and take a deep breath. Then pause for a bit. “Will me and Crystal… have to share a room.”



“That is what you are worried about?”



“it is very important thing that can change everything in a fillies life.”



“No, she is staying in Shooting Star’s suite. Shooting Star is her adopted Father after all.”



“Really, I wanted her to stay in my room. It would be like a slammer party every night.”



“I don’t think it would be like a Slammer Party every night if she stays in your room. You share this room with Sweetie Belle and it isn’t like a Slammer Party here every night.”



Sweetie Belle rolled over “yes it is, we do each other’s mane and play games late at night with Pinkie. And sometimes parry let us put makeup on him.”



“Bad example, wait he let you put Makeup in him. He is a brave pony... what I wanted to say if she lives with Shooting Star when she does sleep over it would be more special.”



“I guess you are right.” Then Nyx yawn.



“Is there anything else you want to talk about before I leave?”



“nothing I can think of.”



Twilight tucked Nyx in nuzzled her good night. “good night Nyx, and sleep tight Sweetie belle.” Twilight turned off the light and  teleported home.

The next morning Nyx found a note on her desk but this one isn’t from her mom, it is from Crystal.



Dear Nyx,



I don’t know how you would react to this letter. You might even hate me more for writing it. But Shooting Star and Twilight both insisted I write you. So blame them for this. Luna came over and told me that today is the last day of camp. So you are coming back the day after tomorrow. She asked me if I would like to help you close up camp for the summer. I would really like to but if you don’t want me to I would completely understand.  I heard school starts in three days. I am so scared, what if Cheerilee doesn’t like me. I been studying really hard and I am up to our grade level. So I hope I don’t make a fool out of myself. That would be the worst; my first days and I act foolish. I don’t know if I could ever show my face at school ever again.



Yesterday I spent some time with Scootaloo. She seems to get mad with me a lot. Dinky told me she gets that way with everypony, so I shouldn’t worry. I also went over to Fluttershy’s Angel was so cute. We eat apples and carrots together.  Then I went to Rarity for a fitting for School Clothes.  Opalescence liked the catnip ball I gave her. And then I went home and study until I went and saw your play. It was the first play I went to and I was amazed at the play. But I don’t know if my opinion is that valid since that was my first play.



Nyx put down the letter and see how long it is. “One, two, three pages and double sided. She has a lot to say.”  She read on and the rest was about her daily life since being born. At the end of the letter Nyx had an understanding of what type of pony Crystal was. She is not much different than she was back when her adventure began.  Nyx decided that she will write her back after getting some food. Nyx went to the mess hall and found that all the Royal rulers of Equestria were in the mess hall waiting for her. There are two things she noticed; one there is a stack of Newspapers in front of them. And two they were is their formal wear.

Luna was in the middle, with means she is the one ruling over whatever it is. “Nyx Please step forward. And bow.”



Nyx walked over and stood in front of Luna and lower herself.



Luna gave a warm caring smile “Princess Nyx of the night, I here proclaim you protector of the night.” With that Luna levitated a beautiful tiara made of black gold and with flawless sapphires weaved into it. She placed it on Nyx’s head. “Rise, my Nyx of the night.”



Everyone in the mess hall cheered. Then Celestia walked up to Luna. “Are you Happy now?”



Luna nodded, “I couldn’t have give Nyx her Tiara like you did gave Crystal her’s. What type of princess would get her tiara like she would get a glass of water?”



Crystal look up at Shooting Star and Twilight. “Am I less of a princess because of how I got my Tiara?”



Shooting Star got down and looked her in the eyes. “No, you are as much of a princess as Nyx. The reason we didn’t do something like this with you is because you haven’t been announce as a princess like Nyx. Don’t worry you will be announced as a princess at the heartwarming Ball this year. The reason so far away is so you can find out what type of princess you want to be.”



Crystal took off her Tiara. “I will not wear this Tiara until I am formally announced as a Princess. Do you think Nyx will let me use her old Tiara?”



Twilight laughed “why don’t you ask for yourself. She is behind you.”



Crystal turned to see Nyx smiling at her “Yes you can use my Tiara; I haven’t wore it since I got here. Nurse’s corner packed it for some reason. Let go back to my room and get it.”



Crystal looked at Nyx than ran over to Celestia “Celestia, I can’t wear this tiara until I am announced at the warming ball. Nyx is so kind as to let me use her Tiara until then.” Then Crystal put the tiara in the box that Nyx’s just can out of. Then she ran out of the room with Nyx.



Celestia picked up the box and closed it. “I guess this Tiara have to wait a little more. Well I have work to get done. See you later at the Castle.” Then she teleported Back to Canterlot.



Shooting Star and Cadence also left.



Shining Armor picked up some newspapers “now for the part we all have been waiting for the reviews of the play.”   He handed a newspaper to each one of the staff.



Pinkie was the first to read the review.  “A delightful insight on the Pony sisters, and a wonderful night of entertainment.” Pinkie skim through it “Hmmm the only thing I found to complain about is that there wasn’t more of it.” Pinkie smiled. “Nothing bad over here.”



Rainbow Dash was the next “listen to this “I hope these talented young ponies would put on more play in the future.”



Twilight smile “I can’t find a bad review in any newspaper. I know your families are proud of you.”



“This is right, and I am also proud of you. But you could have made me look better in the play.”



Nurse’s Corner Laughed “Princess, there is only so much we could do.”



Luna gave her a dirty look. “With that said, camp is over. Today you are all leaving.”  



All the campers looked around, and felt lonely.



“I know that the friendships made here will last for years to come. As the campers that have been here in years past know.”



Pinkie stood up “I LOVE YOU ALL, AND WILL MISS YOU, SO MUCH!!” tears roll down her face.



Rainbow Dash sat Pinkie down. “We will miss you all, and our greatest hope is that by learning from us you have become a better pony, because we have became better ponies by teaching you.”



Luna took over “as you all should know it is time to get your things picked up. If you want to say your goodbyes to the Staff do it here. They are staying behind to close-up camp.”



Then Luna sat down and talked with the staff about what need to be done to close the camp.



In Nyx’s room.



“Crystal, here is my Tiara.” She pulled a box out of a drawer and put it on the desk. “Let’s wait till we are back at the Castle. I was going to take mine off. I don’t want it to get dirty or lost.”



Crystal saw the wisdom in this. “Alright, I understand.” Then she saw the letter on Nyx’s desk. “I told spike not to send that. Oh how embarrassing. Did you read it?”



Nyx nodded.



“I wish you didn’t. It was to get my thoughts together so I know what to talk to you about… stupid Spike.”



“I feel your pain.” Nyx took off her tiara and place it on the desk next to the box. “I have to help my camper get ready to go home. Do you want to help me?”



Crystal’s eyes got wide and a goofy grin spread across her face. “I would love to, but can I.”



Nyx put back in the Tiara “I Princess Nyx of the night protector of the night hereby order you Princess… What is your full name?”



“Bright Crystal.”



“Hereby order you Princess Bright Crystal to help me get my campers ready to leave camp.” Nyx put the tiara back on the desk. “Now that it is a Royal order you can’t say no.”



Crystal bit her lower lip. “Can I tell you a secret? You can’t tell Twilight Shooting Star or any of the other pony.”



“I will if i think it will hurt anypony.”



“It won’t, I remember everything that happen before I became Voldermare. And some of the things that happen while I was her.”



“Why don’t you want them to know?”



“You saw Luna last night. She said “I don’t want that to happen to you. Not again.” I am afraid if I told them they will treat me like a Monster.”



“I understand where you’re coming from. I have been treated like a monster in the past. But I know they will not treat you like a monster, because they never treated me like one.”



“Just don’t tell anypony, I will tell when I am ready. I told you because I just had to tell somepony and I know you would understand.”



“I won’t tell as long as I think it won’t hurt you.”


“I guess that is the only answer I can get for you.”



“Well, we have campers to help.”



Until early afternoon they got Campers packed and on the train to Canterlot. Then they cleaned the cabins, put the canoes back on the canoe rack. And they got all the sports equipment back in the shed. The sun was setting when they got done. Twilight has gone home Leaving Crystal to play night games with the Staff. They played ghost in the graveyard, tag, the sign game, and hide and go seek. Then after they got tired they went to bed. In the morning they did a once over to make sure everything was done then went home.



When Nyx got home Nyx went into the Library. Crystal walks in to see Nyx with books all around her. “Nyx what are you doing.”



“Summer homework, Cheerilee likes to give us work to do over long brakes. There is this study that said young ponies forget most of what they learned over long breaks from school. I did most of it before going to camp so I will be alright. But Sweetie Belle, Apple Bloom, and Scootaloo didn’t do any of it till today.” 



“Why don’t we have them over and study together?”



“I wouldn’t work, Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom would work hard and get it done, but Scootaloo… she is another story. She would goof off and make it so none of us would get our work done.”



“I see, and you can’t ask those two over without Scootaloo. It would break her heart.”



“I will be done in an hour or so. Then we can go to Sugar-Cube Corner I will need something Sweet after this.”



I will be over on the cushion over there reading.” Crystal grabbed a large story book and lay on the cushion.



After some time Nyx close her last book. “I am done, are you ready.”



“When I finish this Chapter.” A minute later Crystal sighed then mark her place and close the book. “Nyx have you read this book.”



“Yes I have. I love the part when...”



At that Crystal dive and put her hooves over Nyx’s mouth. “I don’t want to hear about it until I am done with the book. Twilight already ruined many books for me.”



Nyx laughed “she does do that. So are you ready to go.”



“I had to get my saddlebag wait for me at the front door.” And she ran off.



Nyx put her saddlebag on and walked to the front doors of the Castle.  It feels weird to be home. As she got to the top of the stairs leading to the front door Nyx looked down to see Crystal waiting. Nyx walk down the Stairs Slowly and stopping from time to time to adjust her saddlebag. When she got to the bottom of the stairs she said “did you wait long.”



Crystal gave her a dirty look.



“Then let’s go.” The two Fillies made their way through town to the Sweets Shop. The bell rang as they walk through the door. And pinkie bounced out from the back room. “Nyxie and Crystally I am still working on your nickname. So what can I do for you?”



“I will have a peach milkshake with extra oats and some cloud cake. What do you want Crystal?”



Crystal look at the menu board. “I would have a Fruity Ruity Milkshake and a banana Muffin.”



“That would do ten bits fillies.”



Crystal took out her purse and so did Nyx. “Nyx I will pay.”



“No crystal I will pay.”



“Nyx, I want to treat you so I will pay.”



“No I will.”



“No I will”



“No I will”



“No fillies I will pay” Pinkie said feeling left out.



“Ok, pinkie you can pay.”



“I agree with Nyx, Pinkie you are very kind.”



At that the two Fillies took their sets as Pinkie wonder how that happen. After the fillies got their treats and began to talk about the upcoming School year. Sweetie belle and Apple bloom came in. they had a blank look in their eyes. Then they fell to the floor. Sweetie only said “need sugar” Nyx rolled her eyes. After getting them milkshake and cake they seen to liven up.



Sweetie belle drank her shake “I went over to Scootaloo’s on my way here. She hasn’t even got halfway through her homework.”



“When will that filly learn to do her homework? So Crystal I heard you're starting school tomorrow. If you need any help just ask me Apple Bloom.”



Sweetie Belle laughed. “Apple Bloom, she is Nyx’s sister. So she is most likely smarter than both of us.”



Apple Bloom finished her Cake. “I still I have to do school shopping with Applejack.”



“I also have to go school shopping. My mom is taking me. What are you two going to do?”



“Well our maids already got our school stuff. I do have a fitting with Rarity, then I will read the rest of the day.”



“Rarity did my fittings while you are at camp. So I would most likely go home after this and read. I just started a good book.”



Sweetie Belle and Apple Bloom said their Goodbyes and left.



Crystal sat there staring off into space. “It must be nice to go school Shopping with Family. Shooting Star and Twilight are busy ruling a kingdom. Shooting Star did go shopping with me for things for my room with Dinky. That was fun, but mostly we are taken care of by maids and Hoofmaidens. I would like to spend more time with them.”



“Well, that is how it was with me and my mom before she became a Princess. I miss it sometimes but now when she spend time with me it is more special. Like the night you show up at my play. I was about to lose it, then you show up and I felt like I was losing my family because they didn’t tell me about you. I so lose it that night. I wrote an angry letter to mom. She dropped everything and came and held me.”



“We are lucky to have our parents.”



Pinkie came over “are you two enjoying yourself.”



“Yes Pinkie, we are sorry for what we did to you. Here is the ten bits for the food.”



“Don’t worry about it. It made me smile, because you got me.”



Nyx took back the money “thanks Pinkie.”



Pinkie walked off.



“Nyx, Pinkie is something special.”



“Yes she is. I should go and do the fitting. Well you be alright going home alone.”



“I not going home alone I have all the undercover guards here. like those over there.” she point to the table across the way.



“I wouldn’t really call them undercover, because a cloak over armor isn’t a disguise.” 



“Needless to said I will be fine walking home. And by the way, I think it is cute that they are trying.”



Nyx left Crystal to finish her shake and walked out the door. After Crystal finished her shake she thanked Carrot cake who was manning the front room after Pinkie ran off to plan a party. 



Crystal spent the main part of the rest of day reading books. She had dinner with Nyx, Shooting Star and Twilight. Then she went to bed.



The next morning Crystal woke up early and did something in the kitchen. Then she ate breakfast with Nyx. And then got ready for school. She then waited for Nyx at the front door with two large pastry boxes. When Nyx came down. “Nyx I think you missing something.”



Nyx look herself over. “I don’t see what I am missing.”



“You are missing your Tiara.  A proper princess isn’t fully dressed without a tiara.”



“You sound like the quartet. I don’t like wearing a Tiara.”



“It doesn’t matter what you like you are going to wear a tiara.”



The Quartet was laughing at the top of the stairs. Snowcap ran down and gave Nyx the Tiara she just got from Luna.



“Ok, I will wear it today.”



A pleased smile form on Crystal’s face, then Nurse’s Corner showed up and took them to School. The Everfree School house had three classrooms in it. The students are place in the classes by age. The youngest students are in Miss Patty cake’s class, the middle age group is in Miss Mattie Saddle’s class and the oldest is taught by Cheerilee. Nyx and Crystal are the youngest Nyx being about  two and a half years old, and Crystal being little over two weeks old. But they were place in the oldest class.



Crystal looked in to the Classroom. “Where is Dinky?”



“She is in Mattie Saddle’s Class.”



“Mattie Saddle?”



“She is a teacher here but her family makes designer saddlebags.” Nyx lift the flap of her saddlebag and a label that Said Dark Saddle inc. “They are nice steady saddlebags that wear nice and long and they look good. They are the saddlebags that Celestia and Luna use. And they know their stuff.”



Crystal look at the flap of her Saddlebag and there is the same label. And move around a bit. The Saddlebag almost felt like it isn’t there. “They are very fine Saddlebags.”



“So Crystal, what is in those boxes that we brought here.”



Crystal smiled “A surprise.”



“Nyx would you take your seat. Class is about to start. And Crystal I want to talk to you for a little bit.” There stood Cheerilee with a warm smile.



“Ok, Ms Cheerilee.” Nyx sung before she walked to her desk.



Cheerilee looked at her new student “Crystal, do you have any questions before starting class.”



Crystal opened one of the boxes. “Can I share these with my classmates?”



“Since it is the first day after summer break. yes, but clear it with me before doing something like this in the future.”



“I will Ms Cheerilee.”



“Crystal, come with me to the front of the Classroom.” Cheerilee walk to the blackboard. And Crystal followed with the boxes in her magic. ”welcome back Everypony, I hope we have another great year together. I have a new student to introduce to you. This is Crystal she is staying at the castle with Nyx.  She is the adopted Daughter of Prince Shooting Star. Treat her kindly.”



Crystal nodded “pleased to meet you all.”



“Crystal has brought treats for all of you.” Crystal opened the box and shown the class the cupcakes. “Now Class, thank Crystal for her kindness.”



The Class thanked her and line up to get a cupcake.



Nyx walked up to Crystal “I wish my mom thought of this my first day of school. I would be welcomed more warmly.”



After Everypony got a cupcake and ate it the Class started. Crystal enjoyed learning with other ponies. Before she learned alone with tutors, she didn’t know it at the time but it was lonely. She learned something else that between classes there is a break call recess.



as recess Crystal walked out  and saw Colts and fillies were doing all sorts of games; it was a bit overwhelming. She was unsure what to do. the CMC was jumping rope and she was about to join them, when she saw two fillies walked up and start to pick on Nyx by calling her Nightmare Moon. And Nyx was getting bothered by this.



Crystal walks up and put her hoof on Nyx’s shoulder “Nyx, you are a princess.  We are better than these ridiculous fillies.”



“You are new here so you don’t know how things work here. I am Diamond Tiara I can do and say whatever I want. My family own Barnyard Bargains and we are the richest ponies in town. And if you don’t want to be made fun of you would stop hanging out with these losers.” Diamond Tiara Said in her snooty way.



Crystal sneered “So your family owns a place named barnyard barges.” Her face changed to a pleasure smile “Rarity’s place is called the Carousel Boutique it rolls off your tongue and it is pleasure to say. Sweet apple Acres sound like a delightful place to visit. Golden oak Library is another delightful name for a place.” Crystal’s face got discussed “But barnyard barges just saying it make me feel idiotic. How do you think you have to right to make fun of somepony else when your family own a place with such an ugly name. And I can see that the ponies that own it are not much better.”



With Diamond Tiara told off she turned to the CMC “Sweetie Belle, could you teach me how to play this Jump rope game you were playing. It looks very enjoyable.”



Sweetie Belle smiled “yes, come this way.”


The little band of ponies walked away.



Diamond Tiara stomped her hoof “how dare she make fun of my Family.” Tiara sat down in the ground. “She’s a freak like all the rest of them. Who does she think she is?”



Silver Spoon said “she think she’s Princess Crystal. My daddy told me to be nice to the princesses.”



“Whose side are you on” Diamond Tiara said.



Silver Spoon said “It was fun when we were better than them but now Nyx is a Princess, and CMC have the best hangout in town. Why don’t we become friends with them?”



“We are still better than them.” Diamond Tiara matched over to Nyx’s group.



“Crystal, you think you are hot stuff because you are a princess.” Diamond Tiara said.



Crystal look at her like she is a bug. “You don’t know when to give up? I am a princess so what. Oh I get it now, you are jealous that I am a princess. That is why you pick in Nyx, she is a real princess and you are a fake one with your cheap tiara and you foul manners.”



Diamond Tiara burst into tears and ran away.



Apple Bloom said “Crystal, I think you went too far.”



Crystal nodded “that might be true, but it is the only way she will learn.”



Cheerilee walked over “Could one of you tell me why Diamond Tiara ran into the Classroom crying.”



Crystal walked forward “it was my doing. She tried to pick on my friends and I told her off. I called her a fake princess with a cheap Tiara and foul manners.”



Cheerily didn’t know what to do, compare to Nyx’s Tiara diamond Tiara’s is cheap. Nyx’s is black gold weaved around the finest sapphires by the most skilled Unicorn jeweler in Equestria. Diamond Tiara’s was a fake one from her father’s store. And the foul manners comment was way over do. Cheerilee wanted to say same thing for some time.



“So Cheerilee, what will be my punishment?” Crystal asked.  



Cheerilee stood up straight. “We will go to your house and talk with Prince Shooting Star about this after school.”



“Ok, I will make sure that the maids know to set tea out for us.” Crystal said waved a Pegasus Guard over, then she wrote a note and she told him to give the note to Medley. “Cheerily, I am looking forward to having you over after school.” She said with a little bow



“You better get ready recess is almost over.” Cheerily walked away and thought “so that is what a Princess is like”



Scootaloo laughed “Crystal you are my hero. How can to talk to Cheerilee like that.”



“Like what?”



Scootaloo wave her hooves around. “All princessy.”



Sweetie Belle said “Scootaloo, she is a princess. But aren’t you worried what Shooting Star would do?”



Crystal looked confused. “Have you met Shooting Star?”



Nyx smiled “good point. And Cheerilee is only coming over to be fair to everyone. If it was Diamond Tiara that did it she would have to talk to her parents.”



“I think she will have a nicer time with Shooting Star.” Apple Bloom said.



“Oh yes, Diamond Tiara’s mom...” Scootaloo said.



All the ponies there nodded and Crystal looked Confused. Then that school bell rang and all the school age ponies went back to their classes. After School Nyx and Crystal waited until Cheerilee was ready to leave and on the way back Cheerilee and Nurse’s corner had a nice chat. When they got to the Castle Twilight and Shooting Star were waiting for them. All the ponies went to a parlor and sat



Nyx was about to leave when Twilight said “Nyx would you stay and tell us what happen?”



Nyx take a deep breath “it all started right after I went out to recess Diamond Tiara tripped me and started making fun of me. I was about to walk away when Crystal walked over and asked me to play with her. Diamond Tiara tried to start a fight with Crystal and she put her down. Then we left and that would be the end of it if Diamond Tiara didn’t came over to start something. Crystal called her a fake princess with a cheap Tiara and foul manners. And Diamond Tiara ran away crying. I think the reason she cried was because at camp she was make fun of for the same reason. She has foul manners and think she is better than Everypony else. Then Cheerilee showed up and Crystal admitted to everything. And so that is why Cheerilee is here.”



“Is that true Crystal?”



“Yes but I didn’t know about the tripping or the camp. I just wanted her to understand the saying those that live in Glass house shouldn’t throw stones. I know we all understand this, but she doesn’t. So I just want her to know that she isn’t perfect, and with the right stone her house can shatter. ”



Shooting Star thought it over “I think Crystal should have to write a report on the last book she read and turn it in tomorrow as punishment.”



Cheerilee agreed to that then the Fillies left the adults to talk. Crystal wrote the report have the quartet read over it to see if it would do. Then she went out playing with her friends. The next day Crystal turned the report in. and Life went on.
