Nature is a beautiful thing. That is especially true in Equestria, and you love every minute that you spend here.

Well, with the exception of one evening each year.

When good ol' nature says that it's the time of year for mares to be ready to reproduce, most have prepared more than enough methods of dealing with their urges one way or another. For most, it's about a week or two of mild discomfort. For alicorns, it's about six hours of uncontrollable urges and pure instinct.

And seeing as how you are the husband of the now-retired Celestia, you have every reason to fear for your life tonight.

For as long as Sunny can remember, there have been tales of a strange hermit living deep in the Everfree Forest, the most dangerous place in Equestria. Of course, nopony could ever prove if this was true. After all, who in their right mind would actually go there? Unfortunately for Sunny, she may not have a choice, as during a test flight on the Mare Stream, she and Zipp crash land in the middle of that very forest. With no way out and timberwolves just waiting to pounce, what else can she do but hope that the tales are true?

And just who, or what, is this hermit supposed to be, anyway?

Pipp Petals is many things. A princess. A drama queen. A fan of anything paranormal. But most of all, she is an entertainer, and after she and her friends had a spooky adventure renovating the abandoned Canterlogic building in Maretime Bay, she had an idea. Why not livestream a full-scale paranormal investigation? More than that, since they now know where it is, why not hold said investigation in the ruins of Canterlot Castle? Only a few days have passed since magic's restoration and when it comes to the little things, Pipp is still trying to adjust. Minor details like 'all of Zephyr Heights still knows I couldn't really fly' and 'I went outside and the dirt got me.' The royal family's reputation still needs a touch of repair, and that's why her mother is considering whether to send the siblings away for a while. Just until the gossip cools down.

Zipp wants to go investigate the new. Pipp would like to have her status quo back, thank you very much. So they can really fly now? Why does that mean things have to change?

...and maybe she can also make... lightning? Electricity? As in 'that stuff which keeps my phone, and therefore me, alive'?

The new might have possibilities. Which includes an increased chance of exile.
