This story is a sequel to How to Have Changeling Girlfriends But Keep Discord

After being informed of the existence of Hearth's Warming, Chrysalis becomes aware of the ancient pony tradition of sharing gifts with loved ones, and that she is currently lacking one for her marefriend. In order to find one, Chrysalis sets off on a quest to get her the best present she can.

If only she wasn't stuck dealing with advice from such a limiting group. Will their suggestions be enough to save the holiday?

After a gruesome accident, Spitfire is left alone and blind. The severe nature of her injury lands her in the hospital, despite her wishes. All she wants is to leave the institution and go back to do her part in the war, but a new roommate with a grave injury of her own forces her to learn that, despite her recovering eyesight, there’s more to a pony than what she can see.

Written for Bicyclette’s Crackship Contest, started as an entry for the Quills and Sofas Speedwriting Crackship Contest as well (and then like decupled in length into the current story.

Twilight wants to be alone. Rarity knows that being alone is the last thing she needs.

So come hell or high water, she'll be there. Because, sometimes, if you tarry until you're better, you'll never come out at all.

Twilight finds out that Rarity was nervous about asking her out.

Surprisingly, this is quite upsetting information.

Why is art so precious? Because is beautiful, silly!

It makes you want to stare at it whenever you can. It can make you find feelings you didn’t know you could feel. Even if you can’t understand it, it’s comforting to have it close. Maybe that was the reason why Pinkie couldn’t stop painting that same face over and over again, it was the very definition of art!

Twilight is a little insecure about her relationship with Rarity. Rarity thinks Twilight is very silly.

Also, I guess French philosophers lived in Equestria in this universe.

One night, Twilight notices something odd as she's nestled in bed with Rarity: her hair smells different, just slightly. The next morning, her tea tastes a little bit less sweet, and the flowers outside smell somewhat less fragrant. Out at a cafe together, the music doesn't sound as sharp and clear, and Rarity's new dress feels marginally less smooth against her coat.

Twilight just wants to know what's happening, so she can fix it. It has to be temporary, after all.

In the swirl of events surrounding her accession to the Equestrian throne, Twilight seems mostly concerned that Fluttershy may have developed a crush on her. Fortunately, Rarity's there for her.

Rarity will always be there for her.
