It's a week after Nightmare Night, and the dead have risen. Zombies, ghosts and skeletons walk Ponyville's streets. It would be pretty terrifying, except for the fact that they're so nice. Also, they don't seem to realize they're dead.

But not everypony is happy with their new undead neighbors. Rainbow Dash is a little freaked out, Twilight Sparkle is on trial for murdering a skeleton, and Rarity conspires against her ghostly business partner. Will our heroes be able to keep up in a world where busy ponies don't have time to let death slow them down?

While on a vacation to Earth, Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle decided on taking a Human with them home to Equestria.

Twilight Sparkle had taken the precaution, and brought a few useful books with her. Certain the literature should help her out, if and when she was to need it.

Of course, how does one take the Human over the border? Having only the two saddle bags in which to carry everything they intend to take with them, the space is in premium, just to add salt to the bare flesh.

Ponies from Equestria have feared it. Everyone in the world has feared it. Yes, it's the end of the world — and probably the universe — as we know it. The Mane 6 have drifted apart over the last few years, perusing their dreams. Rarity left her home base in Ponyville and moved permanently into Canterlot, Rainbow Dash joined the Wonderbolts, Twilight Sparkle became Celestia's successor, and Applejack took over the farm and had many others set up and around Equestria. Everypony has drifted apart, except for two. Both of them have pink manes, and they have the opposite personalities. How will they spend their final day?

Over Summer break, Sweetie Belle was surprisingly left with nothing to do. Usually she was out with her two fellow crusaders getting into various dilemmas and situations, but not this Summer. This Summer was a very uneventful one, and Rarity can agree. Not even a single trip to Canterlot was planned since it wasn't even necessary.

So what else was Sweetie to do but laze about and eat, eat, and eat a little more. This continued for a little longer until Summer ended and it was the first day of the sophomore year for Sweetie Belle. But as she got dressed for school, she came across something hideous. Something she couldn't hide for the life of her.

She had gotten fat. She panics and overreacts, but luckily her big sister knows just the words to tell her.

Celestia is very sick. When the mane 6 and Discord go to check up on her they are sucked into Celestia's memories, of a time when Order and Chaos were inseparable. Discord never expected to find out why his friendship with the white alicorn had ended, but the reason was something he expected even less.

This is a different time. Equestria blooms with riches from beyond the seas that used to be its borders. Nightmare Moon's disruption of the Summer Sun Celebration is an event that never took place, and the Elements of Harmony are only a Hearth's Warming chant. Discord itself is more of a spirit of bad luck than a conqueror, sometimes thwarting weather forecasts and other times turning fields into candy corn.

But Equestria also used to be free. Many took to the sea hoping to recover some of that lost freedom and, for a time, it was good. Pinkie Pie's Sugarcube was the most reliable sugar cane trading ship of the Thirteen Seas. Thanks to her, Sweet Apple Acres always had what was needed for jam, the Cake's bakery of Ponyville Docks was a booming business, and even her own ship's kitchen had the freshest muffins on land or sea.

Until the sugar embargo.

With increasing frequency, Her Majesty's navy has been keeping an ever closer watch on the trades routes.

They should have watched even closer.
