It makes sense that if they got it together that it would be something important. Look at the Mane 6, they also gained their marks around the same times as each other and they have a great destiny to fulfill.
I had the mental image of Celestia rolling her eyes at this line, either in frustration or empathy.
Celestia: Now you know how I feel when the only right way to handle a problem is to send you all off to face it instead of tackling it myself. Get used to being the overpowered backup, Twilight. That's not going to change for a long time.
I assume this "Trinity Magic" was the same thing that unified all three tribes against the windigoes, and if that was the last time appeared, it has been quite a long time indeed.
Seems that I have a lot to thank the new episode for.
One, it was a brilliant episode in it's own right.
Two, It fleshed out DT into a pony some people can actually LIKE without feeling guilty.
Three, it's led to an explosion of fics with her new persona... Which are like catnip to me.

In all seriousness, this is very interesting so far. The destinies of the CMC being helping ponies discover who they are is clear as crystal, and the idea of the map also summoning them is really fitting. I can't wait to see what kind of shennanigans they get into.
And on that note, do we know what Silver Spoon special talent is?
This is definitely going to be interesting.

It's funny, how near the end of the newest episode, Sweetie Belle says "I wonder who we're going to help first?" That's a pretty strange question since the answer has been staring at them all episode! Pipsqeak doesn't have his cutie mark!

Now that is an interesting concept. Three cute marks bound as one and they might get called for Friendship problems across Equestria. I wanna see where this goes.
So which one is Courage and which one is Power? Sweetie Belle is almost definitely Wisdom, she just has that vibe to her ya know? AB and Scoots on the other hand both have a fair number of traits of both the inheritors of Power and the inheritors of Courage. I think I'm leaning towards AB being Power though, mostly because of the red hair TBH.
You know when Babs inevitably shows up she is going to have a major WTF reaction to seeing just who is now friends with the CMC.
6514526 I would say Scootaloo would be courage mostly because of all the stunts she does on her scooter which would take a lot of courage if you consider how dangerous some stunts might be.
And Apple Bloom for power mainly because of her innate earth pony strength and she is a Apple family member which requires strength considering all those trees they buck and all the other farm stuff they do.
I have a theority on this trinity magic. The last time it was discovered I guess was during the ancient times. When Clover created the fire of friendship. It is a similiar condition to what Celestia just described. And the story is pretty cool idea. I cannot wait to see more of it.
It's a big revelation, yes, but I don't see what's the big hurry in Celestia immediately going from Canterlot to Ponyville to tell the CMC about Trinity Magic. There's no known immwdiate danger to Equestria (as I understand)
Also, why Luna doesn't recognize it either? If last occurrence was before Discord's time then Luna was also there to learn about Trinity Magic, or at least recognize it.

A lot of people seem to be assuming (and I accept fault for this for the description of the Trinity Magic) that this is the same thing Clover, Smart Cookie, and Pansy had. It isn't. That was the Fire of Friendship. This is something else...
I thought the fimfics would die from the crusaders getting their marks... but its sort of like Twilight becoming an alicorn.

I seriously regret not watching any of season 5. Is this new DT something that happened in one of the new episodes? It seems very much unlike her. Or is this story a sequel to something? The fact that they have a relationship in here when they were at each other's throats in season 4 and earlier is making me a bit confused.
