After a crushing second rejection from Rarity, Blueblood finds himself rather emotionally shaken. However, when he finds himself under the guidance of an unassuming farmer, the noblecolt's life will take a turn the likes of which he would never have expected.

Rainbow Dash finally did it! A sonic rainboom on command! Except she also managed to break every window in Applejack's farmhouse in the process. Now she has to pay for each one, and with her wages from managing the weather not nearly enough to cover the damage, she has to work on Applejack's farm for two whole weeks!
Talk about cruel and unusual punishment. Still, maybe it wouldn't be all bad. At least she would get to hang out with her friend AJ right? Wrong.

This is the story of the end. This is the story of the death of Equestria. It is the story of the reign of her royal majesty, Princess Twilight Sparkle of the Fading Sun.

The alicorn sisters are dead and Equestria has turned to Twilight Sparkle to guide it. However, just maintaining a dim sun a fraction as bright as her mentor's keeps the new princess near her limits.

Years have passed and Twilight Sparkle is sure of only one thing. Equestria is dying.

NOTE: Written before "It's about Time" in season 2. Everything after "Read it and Weep" was ignored throughout this story.

When Spike returns home early from a gathering he sees something that causes him to go running from their little home...the sight of Twilight and Caramel together.

Once Twilight finds him, shivering and cold, she decides to try to address his fears...by giving him The Talk.

But, to Twilight's surprise, it may not be a talk about basic biology that Spike needs...perhaps something far more important is on his mind.

Finding herself with wings and unusually powerful magic, Twilight Sparkle proceeds to have breakdown after breakdown, until with the help of her friends, she confronts Celestia and Luna about it... And learns that she's a far more important little pony than she ever imagined - for all the wrong reasons.

It's been a few years since we were taken, and everything's much as it used to be. It's funny - with all that went on back in that world, I would have thought that things changed massively back here. It's like the Earth forgot who we were and continued on without us. But, we know better.

Our world and their world are connected by an ancient bond spanning back hundreds of millenia. Although at first good beings crossed back and forward, a great darkness somehow took hold of it. In our world, its impact can easily be measured by the malice and evil that in one guise or another goes on each and every day. In the other world, we met it head on.

The darkness chose us personally, for one part or another in its machinations. At one time, each of us even were completely fooled into doing its bidding. Yet, by chance, its own plans backfired on it. The good beings of old were not entirely dusted away like any of us thought they were.

I am speaking in riddles, but the story I'm about to tell is no less true, despite its curious setting. After all, what darkness could there be in a world populated by colourful ponies?
