Terra has managed to survive the Hunger Games along with a few of her newly found friends. But instead of being met with a welcoming home in their old districts, they are pushed strait into preparing for a war that could change the Nation for once and for all.

Someone or something clearly wants Button Mash dead. Or, at least, wants him to know that it wants him dead, what with all of the deadly circumstances followed by second chances.

It will take all of his wits and metagaming ability to survive this.

Or he could learn his lesson and apologize, but consider who we're talking about here.

It's been nine hundred ninety-nine years since the Mane Six lead a rebellion against the anarchic, immortal alicorn, Princess Celestia. Celestia banished them all to the sun and moon, and smothered the flames of rebellion. She divided Equestria into twelve districts, none of them able to communicate or travel to one another. And to punish the citizens of Equestria for turning against her, she re-created the Equestria Games into a pageant where each district sends two ponies, a filly and a colt, to fight to the death in a dangerous arena. There were those who struggled against their oppression in the beginning, but as the years became decades became centuries, all hope was lost.

But this year, Celestia has sensed that the spirits of the Elements of Harmony have risen once again. Knowing that the Elements are the only thing that can stop her, Celestia will do anything in her power to destroy these six ponies. Especially if that means guaranteeing them a spot in this year's Equestria Games.

(Obviously, this is a Hunger Games crossover. I know you guys have seen plenty of these, and most of you hate them, but please, just give it a chance. Don't judge a book by its cover.)

It hurts when the one you love doesn't return your affections. But Daisy has always believed that giving up is for the weak, and she's not weak. Twilight will either love her, or be annoyed by her until she does.

A story of gratuitous darkness, of love in the most nonsensical of places, of unimportant side characters pushed into the spotlight by fate. Dark secrets are revealed that change everything. Good characters snap under the pressure. There's a big, climactic finale. Nothing you haven't read dozens of times before.

Let's not alter that formula in any way. In fact, let's kick it into overdrive.

But every year, one colt and one mare between the ages of 12 and 18 would be reaped for the Equestrian Hunger Games - A sick game that Discord created to make him promise that he would keep the peace as long as the games existed.
Everypony always hopes and prays they are never reaped - who wouldn't right? But on this the thirty-fourth year of the games, I think things are about to change.
