Long years have passed, and Twilight Sparkle has outlived most of her close friends. As Twilight's time in Equestria draws to a close, Princess Celestia teaches her student a final lesson filled with cosmic revelations. (And yes, it does actually have a happy ending.)

Twilight Sparkle is called away to tend to Luna when she falls ill. As Luna grows sicker and Twilight more determined to help the younger princess, she begins to uncover dark secrets about the elements, the alicorns, and her own past.

After an argument with Celestia, Luna heads to Ponyville to meet with the ponies that cleansed the evil from her. Celestia overreacts, worrying that Luna might be doing something much worse.

After being saved from the evil forces of Nightmare Moon, Luna finds herself lost and confused about the event surrounding the possession. However, she may not like what she finds out. Will she be ready in time for Nightmare Night with Celestia's Help?

When Twilight & Applejack are called to Canterlot for an important meeting, the unicorn is worried about how her down-home friend is adjusting to the different society outside of the challenging meetings with Princess Luna, Celestia having gone to investigate a colony of ill ponies.

Celestia is put out of action, and soon zombie ponies are closing in upon the capital. With Luna still recovering from her internal battle with Nightmare Moon, Twilight, Applejack, and a secret society of high-class ladies are all that stands between undead equines...and Canterlot.

Big Macintosh wants to be with Fluttershy. I want to be with Applejack. Big Macintosh is afraid of social interaction. I'm afraid of Big Macintosh. If I can set up my friend with the mare of his dreams, I might just have a chance with mine.

One clear beautiful night Twilight is stargazing, nothing uncommon there, but as she is about to pack away for the night, she spots a faint star that she has never seen before, and that none of her books mention, but on her quest to find out more about this star, she makes an unusual friend, and maybe even more than just a friend.

Little does she know that her new friend will lead her on a completely unexpected adventure as she learns more about him and about his past. As each question is answered new questions arise as Twilight is taken through twists and turns physically, mentally and emotionally, until eventually a massive secret that threatens to upturn everything she knows.
